V22 of Designer crashes

In the new designer

 - just create an empty simulator project,

- error indicator : 

Combination of Simulator & Blank UI failed

and designer crashes.

Worked on previous versions.

I cannot reproduce this issue.

Could you try to uninstall and reinstall TouchGFXDesigner 4.22.0 ?

Hi,

i'm running windows in a virtual box on ubuntu machine and then it doesn't work.  Running it on a 'native' windows pc it works.

Previous version are running under virtual box. Any idea why this one not?

Some more info: Converting a existing project was failing with "load freetype library" issue.  Seems project uses some libraries of visual studio.

So i installed visual studio on my windows, and conversion is working. In first step, the designer crashes, and then the designer hangs, log attached

Indeed, we use Visual Studio for building the simulator. So I guess that there was some mismatch or missing files in your VM that your application using TouchGFX Simulator was try to access, without success.

For the TouchGFXDesigner crash part, it is not related to your VM, but it is a bug in this version of TouchGFXDesigner. The team is aware of it and is working on a patch.
