Hello! Recently I have been working on ADC, where I connect a potentiometer to a bread board and by using jumper wires I  connect it with ARM Cortex M4, STM32G491. Thankfully I have received the outputs too. But the challenge is, I have to include timer along with the voltage output. I did watch many tutorials available on internet, added few codes in it. The moment I run my code, It just shows the voltage reading not the timer reading. The code shows 0 error, I was wondering where I have mistaken, I was hoping if somebody  could help me out with this challenge. I hereby attach my code in text form. Thank you :)

I'm working on my end-of-degree project using an STM32F407 Discovery board. I have been working with it the last couple of months with no problems, doing the pin configuration with STM32CubeMX and developing the program in ARM Keil uVision 5.Yesterday, while doing some debugging the board stopped being recognized by the program. When trying to load any program Keil says "No ST-LINK detected", 30 seconds before it worked perfectly. After looking on the internet this is what I have been able to find. The microcontroller part of the board seems to work correctly, being able to run the last program I loaded. This includes among other things an LCD display, using the micro USB as a COM PORT and reading an ADC showing the reading on both the LCD and the COM PORT. This makes me believe that the problem must with the ST-LINK, while the microcontroller is working correctly and the board is properly powered and voltages at all the pins are ok.Other than that the board shows LEDs LD2 and LD8 lighte

Hello,I am familiarizing myself with the SPI controller on a NUCLEO-F303K8 development board using the CMSIS device headers. I have written a program to send and receive a single byte using polling or interrupts. While functionally it appears correct, I am a bit confused on the timing diagrams generated by my logic analyzer.Overall configuration: System clock is HSI at 8MHz. SPI clock has default prescaler of 2, so 4MHz.The above is the result for a polling transaction.Interval 0: SPI enable to CS low, 6 cycles - makes senseInterval 1: CS low to shift register filled with tx data, 3 cycles (1 CPU cycle to store, 1 SPI cycle to put it on the line?)Interval 2: Shift register filled with tx data to transaction start, 3 cycles - not sure what happens hereInterval 3: The transaction, 16 CPU/8 SPI cycles - makes senseInterval 5 (manually added): Reading the shift register and setting CS low - should be 4 cycles (marked it wrong in diagram)As the SPI is configured with CPOL = CPHA = 0, I woul

Hi, I found a post by Renesas, about using Azure rtos, where it is possible to use the HUB class for USB Host. Can any problem already known to the internal PHY also occur in the external PHY? Is the external PHY able to be used with USB HUB?Using HubWhen the user uses the following device class, the user can use USB Hub.Host Communication Device Class (HCDC)Host Human Interface Device Class (HHID)Host Mass Storage Class (HMSC)Host Printer Class (HPRN)Also be sure to set the pipe number to the following items. I attempt to use the ST example code 'UART_TwoBoards_ComPolling' that comes with the STM32CubeF1 library. (All ST examples are very helpful, thank you.)Development environment used:* Library: STM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.8.5.* Hardware: two NUVLEO-F103RB boards (one for UART1_TX, one for UART1_RX).* IDE: STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.12.1.The example code is built two times, both for the TX Nucleo and for the RX Nucleo. That means, the UART1 peripherals on both boards are configured the same.Problem:The UART1_TX function does not seem to work in the function HAL_UART_Transmit():/*##-2- Start the transmission process ######### */ if(HAL_UART_Transmit(&UartHandle, (uint8_t*)aTxBuffer, TXBUFFERSIZE, 5000)!= HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }In particular, the IDE debugger shows that the UART data register (DR) does not change during the following char assignment, as the DR value is always shown as 0. See the Debugger screenshot at the bottom.else { huart->Instance->DR = (uint8_t)(*pdata8bits &amp

Hi, I'm testing the priorities of the modules, and I would like to know in which file the "Device Configuration Tool Code Generator" saved the NVIC definitions.I have a lot of code outside the delimiters, I can't use the "Device Configuration Tool Code Generator", so I need to know which file is saved, and change manually.

"Board A" is a previous revision that used STM32F103C8T6 to communicate with a device over CAN. It works great."Board B" is a new revision of the same board, but I migrated to STM32L431RCT6 because I needed more IO and it was readily available. Long story short, I can't get the MCU to do anything on its CAN interface. I thought maybe I missed something when porting the code over, but I tried creating a new CubeIDE project that just sends and receives, but I get nothing. The CAN transceiver itself is working fine. With another host transmitting on the bus I can see a nice clean signal on the RX pin (PB8) with 3.0V peaks. However, nothing shows up in the RX FIFO.Likewise, when the MCU is asked to transmit, nothing shows up on the TX pin (PB9).The CAN peripheral is configured like so. I'm running the bus at 250kb/s and the MCU is clocked at 80MHz.  void MX_CAN1_Init(void) { hcan1.Instance = CAN1; hcan1.Init.Prescaler = 20; hcan1.Init.Mode = CAN_MODE_NORMAL; hcan1.Init.Sy

We see this now more often than before (and there was an increase of this trend due to spam in the last few months even in Salesforce). I'd suggest the following steps:- consider first-poster moderation to cut back on the spam; yes, I know that means to spend on human work- remove the autosuggestions when trying to post, which are temptation to unexperienced users to use them as anchor for their first post. They are entirely useless as the AI behind them principially can't convey reasonable results in a technical forum (though it might be good enough for the usual Khoros customers selling cosmetics and alike)- lock threads older than say two years, this has been done in past and it was workable (assuming Moderators can unlock/modify locked threads upon request).JW

Hello Sir/Madam,I am working on STM32H735RGV6 for interleaved mode single dma. I am having problems while getting samples from the DMA controller with ADC. The problem is as the following.1. If I want to get 8192 or a smaller number of samples, there is no problem. I am getting the whole sample.2. If I want to get 8193 or greater samples, then a DMA transfer error occurs. The following pictures show my setup for ADC1 and ADC2.ADC 1 settingsADC 2 settingsADC 1 DMA settings#define ADC_DMA_BUFFER_SIZE (16384)volatile __attribute__((section(".dma_buffer_ram2"))) uint16_t ui16pAdcBuffer[ADC_DMA_BUFFER_SIZE];ui16pAdcBuffer --> It is in RAM_D2ADC DMA calling function setup 1: the following setup works well many times without any problem and I am getting HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback each time I want samples from ADCui32AdcDataSize = 8192if(HAL_ADCEx_MultiModeStart_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)ui16pAdcBuffer, ui32AdcDataSize) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}ADC DMA calling function setup 2: t

Hello!I would like to use the STM32 PMSM FOC firmware library. According to the release note of the SDK (https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/release_note/b1/3f/4e/1b/cc/7f/45/c1/DM00068242.pdf/files/DM00068242.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00068242.pdf) the following microcontrollers are supported: STM32F030C6/C8/K6/R8 STM32F051C6/C8/K6/K8/R6/R8 STM32F072x STM32F100, STM32F103 STM32F2 Series STM32F302xB/C, STM32F303xB/C, STM32F302x6/x8 STM32F405xx, STM32F407xx, STM32F415xx, STM32F417xx, STM32F446xC, STM32F446xE. STM32F301C6/C8/K6/K8/R6/R8 How am I able to access the STM FOC FW library if I have designed a custom motor controller with one of the MCUs that I listed above? I have seen this question asked in previous posts and users are always directed to https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stm32100.html which forces you to use the MotorControl Workbench, but this can only be used with STM development kits and not a custom PCB

Hi all,I'm working with LSM6DSOX and I managed to get the accelerometer and gyroscope data from the output registers, but the numbers don't seem to be meaningful, how do I convert the raw data to g?

Hi there, I am working on a custom board based on OSD32MP157F. The pinout is very similar to the stm32mp157f-dk2 with the main difference that the Murata LBEE5kL1BX-883 is connected to sdmmc3 instead of sdmmc2 and that there is no ethernet peripheral on the board. I used the stm32mp157f-dk2.dts as a starting point and modified the pinctl to match the pinout of the board. The image is made with buildroot. I configured the sdmmc3 according to this and this guides. Although all tested peripherals work as intended, including an eMMC connected to sdmmc2 the wifi module is not responsive and returns a firmware load error on the bootlog 1.933870] brcmfmac: brcmf_fw_alloc_request: using brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio for chip BCM43430/1 [ 1.942625] brcmfmac mmc0:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.st,stm32mp157f-dk2.bin fa2 [ 1.942926] cfg80211: Loading compiled-in X.509 certificates for regulatory database [ 1.953593] brcmfmac mmc0:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac4

Hello, I am using ST’s LSM6DSOW sensor for the Step Counting of my project that’s a Wristband. The device is worn on the user's wrist. The settings that I am using for the Pedometer are as follows:Enabling the Pedometer Algorithm: PEDO_EN = 1 Enabling the Pedometer false-positive rejection block and advanced feature block: PEDO_ADV_EN = 1Initializing the Pedometer Step Counter: STEP_DET_INIT = 1Enabling the False-positive rejection feature: FP_REJECTION_EN = 1 Configuring the Pedometer Debounce, the accepted values are 0 to 255. During the testing of different Pedometer Debounce values it has been observed that:Compared to other devices (such as Apple, Garmin, etc.), the step count shows a deviation of approximately 20%. The tests were conducted with our Wristband worn on the same hand as the other devices. Our device does not count a small number of steps (e.g. 5-10) but only registers larger movements. Is this behavior related to the Debounce setting? How

I wonder if the STM32_USB_Device_Library middleware is compatible with STM32U5?I can see that the USBX has been included in the Cube as the host/device library for U5 but since we want to migrate from STM32L5 to STM32U5 and we have already our usb communication based on STM32_USB_Device_Library, that might be great to see if STM32_USB_Device_Library could be ported or used on STM32U5? Otherwise we have to refactor our usb communication to use USBX libraryThank you in advance

Hii,I am using STM32h745IIK6. I want to use my SPI clock as a timer to generate delay in microsecond how can i to that. Please help with tutorial or your guidance.  Thanks in advance.

I'm testing and debugging a server application running on a custom board based on LAN8742 and stm32f207zg devices. Server has an UDP version and a TCP one. Firmware is built using LwIP stack (2.0.3 version), Raw api, non RTOS and HAL drivers (1.9.4 version.). As you know CubeMx generate a project folder structure and generates an ethernetif.c file used for "linking" MAC hardware to LwIP stack services. It also ad lwip settings, frame ethernet settings, PHY mask registers and PHY registers addresses definitions, etc..Clients are python implemented running on windows 11.Sometimes when server is running link is detected as down. So we were debugging and checking MAC registers where PHY is putting their register values using the mdio interface (for status and control communications). Observations:1.- Autonegotiation result and MAC configuration:When link up is detected and autonegotiation occurres it seems that PHY is detecting that mode is half-duplex, despite ethernet

Hi there,I am currently trying to get TouchGFX working on the U575I-Eval Board. Is there a project to start from?I made a new project with components initialised and TouchGFX activated. What do I need to activate too?Do I need the hx8347i driver? (from bsp or demo project of the eval board). If I correctly analysed the nucleo144 project, the lcd driver isnt even used? When i use X-Cube-Display->Board Part->Memory->Custom: OSPI, the "parameter settings" for external memory parameters tell me that bus type is "octo SPI", but the Instance says "Unavailable Quad SPI Mode", OCTOSPI1 is configured as Octo SPI. I dont get how i set it to OSPI and then it asks for a Quad SPI.Do I even need the X-Cube-Display? I found the "TouchGFX Presentation AL Development – Hands-on" where the X-Cube-Display isnt even used, but a LTDC instead of  FMC display is used there. Thanks in advance.

I am unable to start STM32 CubeIDE. As soon as I start it comes to the loading screen and is stuck there indefinitely. Can someone please help.

Apparently, some user profiles got lost, too. JW

I'm using X-NULCEO-NFC08A1 with NUCLEO-L476RG and sw sdk X-CUBE-NFC6 (project X-CUBE-NFC6\Projects\NUCLEO-L476RG\Applications\NFC08A1_PollingTagDetect).I'm using an IPHONEX (ios16.5) with a custom app that writes nfc tag (but I've also tried the freeware version of app NFCTool available on the store). The ST25R3916B should act as CARD EMULATOR and READER (both modes...but I've problems in CARD EMUL. mode)Everything well, till when the data size written is lower than 90-100bytes...BUT when I try to write (from IPHONE to X-NUCLEO) a tag with bigger data size (for example 150bytes), it happens that last bytes (for example the bytes from 130 to 150) are written over the first bytes of the buffer.I've spent many days to reselve this issue without succes.  any hints ?  may I have the sw project NFC08A1_PollingTagDetect already configured to perform this task ?thanks

I'm missing the "10 years of STM32" thread, https://community.st.com/s/feed/0D50X00009bLUFDSA4 , mainly for its infographics showing the progression of individual STM32 families (https://community.st.com/sfc/servlet.shepherd/version/renditionDownload?rendition=ORIGINAL_Png&versionId=0680X000006qOEu&operationContext=CHATTER&contentId=05T0X00000NPLil .   JW
