making new project for H563 cpu has problems:1. output as makefile is greyed out - why ?2. output for stm32cubeIDE is possible, but output shows problem:what can i do now ?

Hi there!I'm working with a nucleo144-STM32F767zi and facing a problem with irregular ADC conversions (HAL_ADC_Start_IT) which are triggered by a eg. 50 kHz timer update event (every 20 us TIM1 fires an update event)ADC Clock prescaler seems to be PCLK2 / 4 = 96 MHz / 4 = 24 MHz according to my clock configurationSo I expect the quickest ADC conversion rate to be 24 MHz / (12+3 cycles) = 1.6 MHz -> 0,625 us which is way below my desired timer triggered conversion of 20 us.However my adc readings are irregular every 1 millisecond for one reading. In the image below I have triggered a output pin which I read via an oscilloscope. void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc) { adc_val = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); GPIOA -> ODR ^= GPIO_PIN_3; }  I don't do anything with the adc value yet. When I look at the signal, I have every 1 ms this longer timing of up 7-10 us longer for one reading (the conversion takes 7-10us more time). This limit my maximum freque

The MCU is great, but the datasheet (in particular the SPI section) is very hard to read. Whatever the original language was, it wasn't English, and I guess Google translate has been involved. I've added an example below, and hope for ST to update the datasheet in the near future.Example 1:To understand better the next detailed content of this section, the user should capture theconfiguration impact and meaning of the following items at first:Data size (DSIZE) - defines data frame (sets the number of bits at single data frame).FIFO threshold (FTHLV) - defines data packet, sets the number of data frames at singledata packet and so the occurrence of the packet occupancy events to handle SPI dataregisters either by software or by DMA.Data access – a way how to handle the SPI data register content when the transfer databetween the application and the SPI FIFOs upon a packet event. It depends on the packetsize configuration. Optionally, multiply data can be handled effectively by a single a

Hi, I am figuring out how 6-step algorithm works. I generated a project using 6-step algorithm with B-G431B-ESC1.In the ADC settings, ADC1 consisted of 2 regular channel (Vbus, Temp) and 1 Injected channel (Bemf_W)So I thought ADC2 should be consisted of 2 injected channel (BEMF_U and BEMF_V).However, there was only 1 Injected Channel enabled (Channel 17 -> BEMF_U)here's screenshot for stm32cubemxCan someone tell me is it not necessary to sample Bemf_V? or is there an additional code to sample this? Thanks

Hello,I have a jewelry brand and i´ve been thinking about making smart jewelry with NFC technology. I found a 5x5mm NFC chip but it´s still too big for fine jewelry; i read somewhere in a forum that i can find here the smallest NFC chip (2x3mm), does that chip exist (I think is in the ST25T series)? or which one do you recommend for that purpose?.Thank you in advance.

When generating u-boot an error occurs: stm32mp15-scmi-u-boot.dtsi:135.1-6 Label or path scmi not found. Following the steps in the OpenSTLinux 5.0 workshop document to update the device tree files.  It mentions to include an scmi.dtsi file for u-boot for the specific board. Is there any more information how to do this? This is a custom board with an STM32MP157AAA3 using legacy power. (regulators not PMIC) and this board worked fine with a previous ECO system but in ECO 5.0.0 SCMI was introduced.

I'm trying to build a project using FileX in standalone mode (without ThreadX dependecies). According to Microsoft's documentation the FX_STANDALONE_ENABLE flag must be defined in order to disable the use of ThreadX specifics (timers, semaphores etc.), but I can't seem to find this option in CubeMX when generating code. I've noticed that the documentation by Microsoft is deprecated in some areas (in regards to function names for instance), and am wondering if this flag might have been replaced by some other flag or if there is another way to run FileX in standalone mode?

I am trying to move a BLDC motor with encoder feedback in closed loop. When passing a speed/torque reference nothing happens. But when I move/rotate the encoder, the motor starts spinning according to the speed of the encoder rotating. The motor is otherwise just locked in its place. I've clicked through several settings, read through many posts, the only "clue" I found was one poster saying that they had to check "Reverse counting direction" under the speed sensing settings. Well, that doesn't do much other than changing the direction the motor spins whenever the encoder is being rotated. I am probably missing something but how could I solve this issue? For the record: The motor moves without any issues in sensorless mode.My setup is as follows: stm32g431rb with an IHM16M1, a BLDC motor, an AMT103V quadrature encoder. Also using Motor Control Workbench 5.4.8 (I already tried 6.1.2, motor profiler is worse or rather non functional most of the time and when it works, the results are the

I have setup the MCU as an SPI slave that will receive 15 words. How can I handle if the master sends less than 15 words? If the master sends less than 15 words I don't get any call to HAL_SPI_TxRxCpltCallback().The NSS pin is selected as "Hardware NSS Input Signal".I have not been able to activate an external interrupt on the NSS pin so I can't detect NSS rising edge.

Hi, I have a question about the entering character in the TouchGFX Designer.I want to realize character input by flick operation like a smartphone, but I can't find it on the demo screen. When entering characters, is there only a way to place one button per character?

I just noticed the following:In the datasheets for the G473 and G483 the pin table and alternate function table disagree which pin has the I2C2_SMBA and I2C2_SDA function. The pin table claims PA10 is I2C2_SMBA and PA8 is I2C2_SDA. The alternate function table claims PA8 is I2C2_SMBA and PA10 is I2C2_SDA.From experiments it seems the pin table is correct. Can someone confirm which is the correct alternate function? Now that I was comparing both columns: it also seems I2C3_SCL is placed differently in both tables: the pin table has it on PA8, the alternate function table on PA10.EDIT 2023-09-04: for completeness, because I initially forgot:STM32G483xE DS12997 Rev 4 Nov 2021STM32G473xE DS12712 Rev 4 Nov 2021

I am getting nan values while computing the fft. It is mostly for fftOut[0][0]----- fftOut[0][512], after that there are not many nan values. What could be the reason? Is it that because it running in debug mode and the DMA is on?Please help with this.

Hello everyone,I have no success in updating Cube IDE 1.13.0 to ver.1.13.1. Each time I try, I receive a message saying that the repositories cannot be found (see attached picture). Different days, same error message. My OS is Windows 11 with a direct Internet connection.Any clue to solve this issue ?Thanks a lot,Emmanuel

Hi,According to some of the on-the-fly firmware update documents, update is done with the following steps:- program the new firmware to Bank2- set BFB2 bit to start executing from Bank2- while in Bank2, copy the code from active Bank2 to Bank1- reset BFB2 to continue executing code from Bank1 Doing some small tests, I realized that it was fine to continue running new firmware in Bank2 until next firmware update is needed, without double programming and jumping Bank1 -> Bank2 -> Bank1. My question: Is there any disadvantage to continue executing new firmware from Bank2 until the newer firmware is available (and then programmed to Bank1)? Or is it really necessary to always run the main firmware from Bank1 (and use Bank2 just during the update)?Note: I run tests with a simple program. Maybe I am missing some functionality which will not work on more complex programs on the long run executed from Bank2. Or my assumptions are just wrong. Thanks,Zoran

MCU is writing data to ext flash once every 15 minute. I have set Timer in interrupt mode with one minute callback and incrementing the flag. In main while loop, the flag is being check . Once flag has reached 15, the MCU writes data to ext flash and sets flag back to zero. I am trying MCU to go in sleep mode using WFI. But now the problem is Timer with one minute callback will be waking up MCU every minute. Please suggest. I want this Timer to wakeup MCU only once in 15 minute.

Hello.I have two nucleo boards, first one is NUCLEO-L476RG other one is NUCLEO-F767ZIAnd I have one X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 (ST25R3916B).I want to use NFC08A1 on NUCLEO-F767ZI (or other board).I have started to create new project on STM32CubeIDE.And I copied sample codes from NFC08A1 EXAMPLE PROJECT.I modified code to avoid error and warning. and It is done. But, The code that I created is not working.sadly, I do not know why. May I get simple code for ST25R3916B? Example code privided from ST is very complicated.I am gonna attach my source codes and provided example codes from ST.Please help me!!  my codehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1UCDHrzmj59AH6B0b1C6I15UvrhaD2Ykm/view?usp=drive_link st codehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1dEmPlHNlsBykh4ErHa3s9A3vB4GcDaa1/view?usp=drive_link

Hello, I was just wondering if there was a list in the datasheet that has a Y/N for usability with the pins on the stm32F446RE or family. I mostly keep running into the issue where I configure something on a pin and then run into a pin that is being used for something else as well. I know a few are for com ports like St-link which I believe is PA-7 and when using that pin it no longer links the board.I looked through the data sheet and the closest I found was table 11 which just explains the uses in the AF-0 column. It would also be helpful to have for troubleshooting so I know if there is a fried pin/poor code / pin in use. Thanks!

Anyone here do ECU project with GTM on SPC57?what task/function should I add on loss lock callback of the GTM DPLL? I saw some samples project, they switch to half cycle ( 360 degree ) on the loss lock callback event. but I still have no clue the benefit of this such task. perhaps anyone here have some suggestions.

Hello,i defined a characteristic with notify propriety :  ret = aci_gatt_add_char(Service2_Handle1,UUID_TYPE_128,&char_uuid,26,CHAR_PROP_NOTIFY | CHAR_PROP_WRITE | CHAR_PROP_WRITE_WITHOUT_RESP,ATTR_PERMISSION_NONE,GATT_NOTIFY_ATTRIBUTE_WRITE | GATT_NOTIFY_READ_REQ_AND_WAIT_FOR_APPL_RESP,16,1,&Service2_Char_Notify_Handle);with CHAR_PROP_NOTIFY  it is generate  CCCD and by default Client Notification is disabled.I need to enable it on the server, so i tryed with this code : Service2_Char_Notify_NotifDesc_Handle = Service2_Char_Notify_Handle+2;ret = aci_gatt_set_access_permission(Service2_Handle1,Service2_Char_Notify_NotifDesc_Handle,(0x01 | 0x02)); //Access_Permissions uint8_t char_notify_ennotifdesc_val[2] = {0x01,0x00}; ret = aci_gatt_write_char_desc(connection_handle, Service2_Char_Notify_NotifDesc_Handle, 2, char_notify_ennotifdesc_val); But in debugging with an android app, the notification will stil disabled ! How can i enable the notification to th

Hi,I am using the STM32G071CBT6 for my project. During the initial test setup, I've evaluated the required peripherals such as ADC, DAC, and UART. The ADC and DAC are functioning well, but I'm encountering a problem with the UART. While I can successfully transmit data and have implemented a UART receive interrupt, unfortunately, the UART receive interrupt doesn't appear to be working. I've even tried using a sample code solely for UART, but the issue persists. Below, I've provided my sample code.  /* USER CODE BEGIN Header *//* USER CODE END Header *//* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/#include "main.h"#include<string.h>#include<stdio.h>/* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN Includes *//* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN PTD *//* USER CODE END PTD */ /* Private

[STM32CubeMx 6.8.0 / TouchGfx 4.22]Hi all,I am trying to configure the LTDC as TouchGfx application tick source but the CubeMX won't let me even if the LTDC is enabled.Any ideas? Is there anything else that I should check?I have already working code from other projects that I could manually integrate but then every time we regenerate the code it will be overwritten. Thanks,
