Hello,I am having a strage problem with setting up simple input pins on PB3, PB4, PB5, PB6 and PB7 with pullup on a G441 bare metal. I set the bits in the GPIOB_MODER and GPIOB_PUPDR acordingly and also read them back to make sure. They are correct. GPIOB->MODER &= ~(0b1111111111000000); // GPIOB 3 to 7 inputsGPIOB->PUPDR &= ~(0b1111111111000000); // GPIOB 3 to 7 pullupGPIOB->PUPDR |= (0b0101010101000000); // GPIOB 3 to 7 pullupStrangly the PB4 and PB6 stay low most of the time as if they are floating. I can not figure out why that would be. Did I miss something special about them? I know PB4 is a JTAG debug pin but setting the MODER shoud set it as a normal input. If I pull the pin to 5V externally it goes high (PB6 is FT).

Hi everyone,I am using SPI1 on the STM32U575 to transmit data, and my issue is that between consecutive calls to the SPI transmission function, there is an extra long clock pulse instead of no clock pulse at all. This is my first time using the STM32U575, so I hope someone can help me resolve this issue.Below is the code and configuration:HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi1, tx_buf_1, 5, 200); // Byte 0 - 4HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi1, tx_buf_2, 2, 200); // Byte 5 - 6 Thanks.

Hi, I'm learning how to use timers by following digikey's tutorial : Getting Started with STM32 and Nucleo Part 6: Timers and Timer Interrupts | Digi-Key Electronics - YouTubeHowever at 9:41 in the video I don't understand the code : // If enough time has passed (1 second), toggle LED and get new timestamp if (__HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim16) - timer_val >= 10000) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5); timer_val = __HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim16); }What does  __HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim16) really do? Then what the condition if is testing?  Thanks

Hello,I was working on a project and came across a rather strange behaviour with a triggered slave timer. I have recreated the behaviour in a separate isolated CubeIDE project as not to distract you with the irrelevant parts. So, forgive the contrived scenario since it lacks the context of my project (which is communicating with an external ADC but that is besides the point). This isn't a big problem for me since it is a relatively minor bug that came about when I was playing around. However, I am really more curious as to why this happens, and I thought that I can at least document it here.In this example, I am using a NUCLEO-H723ZG board, and I have two timers, TIM2 and TIM3, both with PWM outputs. The former is set up as a basic PWM generator, and the latter is set up in one-pulse-mode as a slave triggered by the former's update, i.e. TRGO. TIM3's source is thus ITR1 as according to Table-355 in the reference-manual (RM0468) The timing is such: TIM2TIM3PSC00ARR499399CRR1250390T

Dear Sir, We are currently in the process of conducting crosstalk calibration using the VL53L1X ultra-lite driver, but unfortunately, the results we're obtaining are not as expected. Our approach involves utilizing an A4-sized gray chart board as the designated target. Presently, the xcd reading registers at approximately 840mm, with the chart positioned at a distance of 1000mm from the VL53L1X sensor. The corresponding signal strength is indicated as 11064. After implementing the calibration procedure through the VL53L1X_calibrateXtalk() function, we retrieve an xtalk value of 0x99C6. This value is subsequently applied in our crosstalk compensation calculations for ranging. Our observation involves ranging a stationary target. Curiously, despite maintaining the target's immobility, the resulting range status reads as 7. As an experiment, we moved the chart closer to the VL53L1X by 100mm. This adjustment led to a range status of 0 and a corresponding range distance of 2366mm. Notably,

Hello,I'm working with VL53L4CD to have the distance between the board and some liquid. This distance could go from 20mm to 250mm. We want to protect the board with a glass and then do a calibration, first Offset then Crosstalk. Into the user manual, I found that I need to do the offset calibration on a 17% reflective target at 100 mm and the crosstalk calibration on 17% reflective target at maximum ranging distance without under-ranging. My questions are : - Do we really need a 17% reflective material as target ?- 100mm is mandatory for the offset calibration ?- As our system goes from 20 to 250mm, is it possible to perform the Crosstalk calibration or do we need to take the board outside of our machine to be at the right distance ?Thank you for your help,Kind regards,

I am presently in the process of evaluating the VL5315CX LiDAR sensor without a coverglass. However, I anticipate the need to incorporate a coverglass soon due to the dusty environment in which it will be deployed. My inquiry pertains to the sensor's performance when using the coverglass. Specifically, I would like to know if the VL5315CX, equipped with Xtalk calibration, can continue to accurately detect objects at close range (ranging from 2cm to 60cm) when the coverglass is in place. Additionally, I am curious about whether the VL5315CX still requires Xtalk calibration for distant objects (beyond 60cm) when the coverglass is utilized

Hi,I'm using an ST25DV04KC tag with the STM32L476 microcontroller as the host. I can write and read from the tag without issues through I2C. However, I'd like to inquire about the feasibility of gradually adding data to an existing NDEF message stored in the tag's memory.I looked into some older topics, and I saw that this might be implemented in future versions. Has this been implemented in any library?I see that it is possible by completely rewriting the message with the new aggregated data. However, this would wear down the memory unnecessarily. So, I would like to simply add the new data to the end of the previous message. I know that to achieve this, I will need to modify the NDEF header to identify these new data. I'd like to know if I should implement this myself or if ST already provides this feature in any library.

The existing version of the ST25RU3993 Reader Suite (ST25RU3993_GUI_v1_8_6_EVAL) is not supporting the C Library files (from en.STSW-ST25RU-CLIB) that are currently available. Please inform by when the new version is releasing.

I could not find yet a specific information regarding IDAU configuration of H5. Is it same as U5 as described in AN5347 ?Edit: I think it is the one in the reference manual (RM0481), I realized colors (Figure 2) indicate the IDAU mapping.

Hello,I am currently designing a board with STM32H747AI MCU. May I ask how it is possible to run the RTOS on it and then program it via USB-C without using special internal components such as ST-Link MCU in order to save as much space as possible? Does the same process also apply to the STM32MP157C MPU?Thank you very much.Regards

I am using a nucleo-f401re board.

Hi all,Is it possible to setup the radio on the STM32WL5x to sniff raw wireless M-bus packages?I do not want to transmit any data, just receive raw packages from meters that are in range.Thank you in advance.

Hi,I would like to program the NUCLEO-WL55J1 as a w-MBus concentrator. Getting data from nearby w-MBus sensors and pass it on to the cloud, while I still have the option to switch to LoRa for data transmitting.Do any of you have an example project, or any guides how to do this.

Hello,Are there any future plans to add HRTIM Support in ST Motor Contol Workbench? As far as i have seen G474 is inculded, but only with TIM1 and TIM8. Though these two are the advanced motor control timers, i need a faster PWM signal for my application.Cheers, G.

Hi,I am making LwIP + TouchGFX project on STM32H750B-DK following the next tutorial:https://github.com/GrzHeller/STM32H750B-DK_TouchGFX_FreeRTOS_MQTT_Example/blob/main/README.mdWhen setting ethernet settings in .ioc I can enable ethernet global interrupt, but can't set preemption priority. I'm not sure if this is the problem, but every time I run the program it goes to HardFault_Handler. Does anyone know why it behaves this way and how to solve it?

Hi,there are a lot of examples and tutorials available that describe how to use a FIR-filter (via function arm_fir_f32()). Unfortunately all these examples are either simple low-, high-, or bandpass-filters. Now what I'm looking for, is a possibility, to have frequency bands (e.g. 16 or something like that) spread across the whole frequency range and each of these frequency bands comes with an own attenuation level. So how can I do that? How can I calculate FIR filter coefficients for several frequency bands? Or is a FIR-filter the wrong way to implement something like that? Thanks!

I am working with the STM32F769 microcontroller and I can see that a lot of DMA buffers are placed in DTCM in the source code I'm working with. Looking at the data sheet ( https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32f765bi.pdf ) page 20 I don't see a bus between the DMA controllers and the DTCM. Apparently it works so there must be a way for the DMA data to go to/from the DTCM, but how? Is it, in general, recommended to place DMA buffers in DTCM? I mean, just because it's close to the CPU doesn't mean it's close to the DMA peripheral.

by using the cover glass can the sensor still able detect close ranges (after calibration)

I'd like to try using the STM32L011E4Y6TR in a new design.  However, the HSE input has only one pin (RCC_CK_IN) and I'm not sure how to use it with a standard 4 pin crystal that typically connects to 2 mcu pins.  Can someone point me toward a reference design oscillator circuit for the STM32L0 series?

I have a 2D array input buffer. so, what is the correct way to implement the rfft and cfft functions?float fftIn[16][512] is my input. So, I applied for a loop like below:arm_rfft_fast_init_f32(&fftHandler, 512); for(int d =0; d<16; d++){arm_rfft_fast_f32(&fftHandler, &fftIn[d], &fftOut[d], 0);}Is this the correct way?Since the fftout will be complex no. I have taken cfft along the column(by rearranging the 2d array in certain way) like below:Here input is like fft2In[256][32]for(int e = 0; e<256; e++){arm_cfft_f32(&arm_cfft_sR_f32_len16, &fft2In[e], 0, 0);}Again is the correct way to implement? I am getting some output but I don't have a way to verify the result as of now. Please help me with this?

I modified the software B-G431B-ESC1 for the custom board, but i am missing the hall interrupts some times. Why does it happen? Does software loading cause this issue, i am sending CAN messages at every 10ms of around 10 messages?

Hello st community, I work on stm32F4, and I use with RTC for date time. When I write in RTC a wrong day (for example 30 Feb 2023 or 31 Apr 2023) I havent a error in the result. It is possible to ask if the data is correct ?if (HAL_RTC_SetDate(&hrtc, &sDate_present_tmp, RTC_FORMAT_BIN) == HAL_OK)

Will the TouchGFX and STM Cube IDE let me work with SSD1306 devices? If so how much memory space will I need per image and overall space to run it? The images will be 128x64 pixels. Which range of ST microcontrollers can be used for this? The labels allowed for this post were not relevant, so ignore the "EEPROM devices"

While CAN communication run.If error occurs...(ex. bus_off, error passive, warning status ./... )How to reset?
