Hello,   I created the STM32H735G-DK project with the board selector in STM32CubeIDE. The OSPI_HyperRAM_MemoryMapped project was created by the example selector. Its HyperRAM test codes were added to the STM32H735G-DK project as below. The reading sequence was repeated twice on the same address w/o increasing the memory pointer. However, the 2nd reading was always failing while the 1st reading was fine as below. Please help me to solve this issue. The MX_OCTOSPI2_Init function is also pasted below.   Thanks.   SUCCESS1: mem_addr = 0x70000000 pattern = 2a2a2a20 output = 2a2a2a20FAILURE2: mem_addr = 0x70000000 pattern = 2a2a2a20 output = 5655d557SUCCESS1: mem_addr = 0x70000004 pattern = 6d654d2a output = 6d654d2aFAILURE2: mem_addr = 0x70000004 pattern = 6d654d2a output = 55155146SUCCESS1: mem_addr = 0x70000008 pattern = 2d79726f output = 2d79726fFAILURE2: mem_addr = 0x70000008 pattern = 2d79726f output = 55555551SUCCESS1: mem_addr = 0x7000000c pattern = 7070616d outpu

I'm trying to view the LwIP debug log to check Ethernet operation on the nucleo-f429zi board. I tested the operation after setting the code as shown below, but the LwIP debug log is not displayed. The code below is for printing debug logs. Can you tell me the correct settings for LwIP debug log output? /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ #ifdef __GNUC__ /* With GCC, small printf (option LD Linker->Libraries->Small printf set to 'Yes') calls __io_putchar() */ #define PUTCHAR_PROTOTYPE int __io_putchar(int ch) #else #define PUTCHAR_PROTOTYPE int fputc(int ch, FILE *f) #endif /* __GNUC__ */ PUTCHAR_PROTOTYPE { /* Place your implementation of fputc here */ /* e.g. write a character to the EVAL_COM1 and Loop until the end of transmission */ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1, 0xFFFF); return ch; } /* USER CODE END PD */

Good morning everyone,I’m trying to get FDCAN working on a STM32G431 however with very limited success. I’m not able to get a valid output signal on the TX line (measured with an oscilloscope) however, if I put the FDCAN peripheral into External LoopBack Mode, then a valid message appears on the TX. Even though there are no other CAN devices connected to the CAN bus, I still expect a few (3?) valid TX messages to be registered on the oscilloscope before the buffer fills up and throws an error. In order to exclude any hardware issues on the PCB (first rev. of the PCB), I switch over to the NUCLEO-G431RB Evaluation board instead. Unfortunately, the exact same issue appeared, no valid data in Normal Mode but when in External LoopBack Mode, I do get valid TX.Right now I’m just trying to get valid TX data out on the NUCLEO in Normal Mode, so I’ve based my code on an example from the STMCubeIDE. In the main while loop, I’m simply calling AddMessageToTxFifoQ with a break point at the 1 ms HAL_

Hi,I am working with STM32G491RET6 custom board and for debugging I am using segger jlink debugger with STM32 Cube IDE 1.13.0. Everything working correctly like flashing and debugging.1.But I don't know what happened suddenly while debugging program getting struck in either Hardfault_handler() or in below function.__weak uint32_t HAL_GetTick(void){return uwTick;}2.While debugging I get to know that only one time its going inside while loop nexttime its going to either Hardfault handler or HAL_GetTick function.3.I changed the jlink debugger also I am facing same issue.I took new project in cube ide I only checked GPIO toggle with that also same issue I am facing4.With Development board same program working perfectly. Can anyone suggest what's going wrong .Thanks

I will use the STM32U575 with OCTOSPIM as Quad SPI (master) adapter.Q: The DQS signal is intended for DDR mode (I know).Could I use also DQS as input in SDR mode (when OCTOSPIM acts as SPI or QSPI master)?Idea:I want to compensate the "Round Trip Delay" on QSPI (or OCTOSPIM as SPI).Could I provide a SCLK' signal via DQS (delayed, with external DLY line) so that the READ cycle will use this signal in order to sample the response bits?Or is DQS only "working" in DDR mode (even I would 'enable' DQS also in SDR mode)?Quad-SPI in SDR mode should use DQS with external delay in order to sync D[3..0] during a READ transactions. Is it possible? (feedback SCLK with a delay line to DQS)

I have reviewed the many posts from others that have not been able to jump from a bootloader the application code and nothing that I tried worked. My MCU has its 128kB of flash in two banks, one at 0x08000000 and the other at 0x08040000.  When the MCU is reset, it starts with the code in the first bank, so this is where my bootloader is located.I have 6kB of flash reserved for storing calibration and configuration information immediately following the bootloader.  I have the application code in the second bank (0x08040000). The sole purpose of my bootloader is to allow an application software package to update the application firmware over a Modbus connection (via USB or RS485).  I am able to send the new firmware and successfully program the new application code.  I have verified this by using the STM32CubeProgrammer to compare the file to the updated flash contents.Without the bootloader, the application code works fine from STM23CubeIDE when debugging. When th

We developed a PCB that have an STM32L476. In the hardware configuration I configured the USB communcation as a Device_only and virtual com. For the hardware connection, I have the USB D+ , D- and ground connected and verified. when connecting the PCB to PC there is no new device appearing and the stm isn't appearing to the PC. Can you help what might be the reason and how to debug it. Most of the tutorial show how to do the configuration and once they connect to the PC the STM appear. Note: when the STM32 is connected to the st-link and debugging, if I plug the usb cable to the STM32, the debug stopped and give connection error.

Please let me know if there is any evaluation board available from ST for target MCU STM32F765XX.Thanks,

Hellow community, I'm currently working with the IIS3DWBTR sensor, which I purchased from Mouser Electronics. I've encountered an issue where the `WHO_AM_I` register (0Fh) is returning a value of `0x76`, whereas the expected value is `0x7B`.The SPI bus signal seems fine, and I've checked the usual suspects such as clock speed, voltage levels, and signal integrity. The sensor initialization also appears to be correct.Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on what might be causing this discrepancy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Best,

Good morning to everyone!! I own a Hps 125A single phase welding machine and the diode has blown and I can't read the part number. The input voltage in my country is 240v  and 50hz. I am attaching a photo of the component maybe can help Thank you

HI there,  I have rewitten this simple piece of code from scratch multiple times with no success. I am just attempting to turn on a set of LEDs.  First in the While Loop. Currently in the process of coding an MQ5 gas sensor, right now I was able to get the ADC value to appear on the serial terminal using PuTTy, but for whatever reason the voltage value always produces zero. I tried also changing the formula to have it produce millivolts instead of volts, but that doesn't seem to work either. Below is my code and the serial PuTTy output: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header *//**  ******************************************************************************  * @file           : main.c  * @brief          : Main program body  ******************************************************************************  * @attention  *  * Copyright (c) 2023 STMicroelectronics.  * All rights reserved.  *  * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file  * in the root directory of this software component.  * If no LICENSE file comes wit

Hi Team,How strong is 8 bytes NFC password given the fact that there is no lockout mechanism. Assuming an attacker with physical proximity tries to brute-force (try all combination) the password on nfc chip, How much time will be needed to crack the password? How to calculate the time it takes to perform one valid/invalid authentication attempt on nfc chip?

Hi,I am working on SPI communication between STM32G491 and ATM90E26. and I am using the SPI polling API with HAL_SPI_Transmit and HAL_SPI_Receive.My System clock is 96Mhz and I am using prescaler of 64 for SPI.CLKPolarity=Low,CLKPhase=1Edge.Communication is happening between the devices but I am not getting the correct data.there is only a shift of one bit.For examplein binary:expected: 0001 0011 1001 0100received: 0000 1001 1100 1010f I shift the received bitstream to the left I get exactly the right result.I found one solution in the forum for similar type of question(for stm32H7) It was solved withhspi1.Init.MasterKeepIOState = SPI_MASTER_KEEP_IO_STATE_ENABLE;But I am using STM32G4 with SPI Poll methodthere is no MasterKeepIOState parameter  available its giving me the error I use it.Is it due to bad configutation?or anything do I need to configure to solve it. Can anyone please suggest. Thanks

Hello everyone,Currently, I am using the Ubuntu 22.04 operating system. I'm having a problem: when I plug ST-link into my computer, the CH340 driver doesn't convert the USB port to a traditional COM port. Therefore, the Arduino IDE does not show the port to perform serial communication as usual. I tried installing STM32CuberProgrammer to check what the error port was, then I saw the /Dev/bus/USB/001/007 port. I also tried connecting to an Arduino mega 2560, when I checked, the port still showed /Dev/ttACM0. Thanks, everyone.

Hi,I invested in the STEVAL_EDUKIT1 project which cost me $300+ and is completely useless as I can't download the software.I have downloaded a user manual document titled: 'Getting started with the evaluation kit for education on motor control and control systems', which gives detailed instructions on how to put the project together. This is all easy to follow as it has descriptive text an image at each step. However, this all comes apart when you reach the firmware installation section. There are three points written in a most general and unhelpful manner.---------------------------------------------------------------- Start ----------------------------------------------------------------------The STSW-EDUKIT01 firmware for the STEVAL-EDUKIT01 is provided in binary format and includes thebootloader. To install it, follow the procedure below.Step 1. Connect the NUCLEO-F401RE development board to a PC USB port though a mini USB to USB cable.Step 2. As the board is recognized as a flash d

The issue being addressed is synchronous sampling of an ADC over SPI with a STM32G474 operating as the SPI master.  The phase noise is material and can not tolerate cycle to cycle jitter.  The ADC bases its timing from the falling edge of the slave select signal.  My approach is to use one timer (TIM16) to trigger a second timer (TIM5) which operates at the sampling frequency such at a programmable interval from 1 second to 16 seconds 1024 samples from the ADC are taken at 1 MSps.  TIM5 is operated in PWM mode generating an active low pulse acting as the slave select with the crystal based STM32G474 providing a reasonably low phase noise timing reference.  I've setup a DMA, channel 3, to trigger on the TIM5 channel 1 compare result with the DMA set to perform 16-bit transfers from memory to peripheral (SPI2 Data Register) with the number of words to transfer set to 2 to generate a 32-bit SPI transaction.  Everything works as expected except the DMA on

Hello all,@Martin KJELDSEN, I just updated my project to Version 4.23.0 and now get a compiler error for the creation of a canvas. The update info tells, that there has been done a change, but there is no example and I don't know how to fix this.Original code for the construction:Canvas canvas(this, invalidatedArea); But now the parameters have changed: Canvas(const AbstractPainter *constpainter ,    const Rect &canvasAreaAbs ,    const Rect &invalidatedAreaRel ,    uint8_tglobalAlpha    )  Can anybody tell, how to set correct parameters  and what they represent? The code for the canvas was taken from github for a graphics canvas "abstractgraph.cpp", therefore I am lost and don't know what these parameters will do.Any help is very much appreciated.Thank you and have a Merry Christmas!!!BR GS

Hi Everyone,I'm unable to connect to my STM32F103c8 board using an ST-Link/v2(isol).I connected the cables as mentioned in ST-Link/v2 manual:PIN1 (VAPP) -> VDD PIN7 (TMS_SWDIO) -> SWIO PIN9 (TCK_SWCLK) -> SWCLK PIN20 (GND) -> GNDHere is the physical connection, after connecting VAPP to vdd target is not powered on i attached the image below (connection bw debugger and target.jpg) while giving external supply using st link v2 clone it displays target not connected  the connection was(target_on.jpg) in log trace it showsST-Link/V2 device detectedTarget voltage detected: 3.072181Error getting target IDCODE: if SWD, check SWD connectionError (4) while initializing ST-Link in SWD mode software settings and log messages are attached below(setttings.jpg)

I am transferring sensor data between Jetson Nano and STM32F411E-DISCO via can using 2 MCP2515. On the STM32 side, imu and encoder sensors are connected and constantly transmit data to Jetson nano via canbus. However, due to a problem that I do not fully understand, I think there is bit loss in the data and the value of the transmitted data is transmitted by half, or positive data is transmitted as negative data. Although this does not always happen, it does happen from time to time and is undesirable. For example, if the data received from the IMU (MPU9255) via I2C is 172.321, the transmitted data is either -173.321 or 86.6605.Code for data transmission with MCP2515 on STM32 side: uCAN_MSG ImuData; void prepareData(float* data1, float* data2, uCAN_MSG* canData){ uint8_t DataToArray[8]; memcpy(DataToArray,data1,sizeof(float)); memcpy(DataToArray + sizeof(float),data2,sizeof(float)); canData->frame.data0 = DataToArray[0]; canData->frame.data1 = DataToArray[1]; canData-&g

I need to clear the fifo and then at a later time read all samples taken since then.  Then later I will repeat this. I don't want any samples before or after that time window to get in my data.  I looked through the library and I can't see anything that will reset the fifo.  How can I achieve the time window sampling I describe above?  Thanks in advance ...

Would someone kindly explain to me how to determine the CAN controller's baudrate for the STM32f769 ?
