i am using IMU ICM-42688-P sensor communicating with stm32 GOB1CET6N board using spi protocol. but, i am not able to read WHO_AM_I Value for more than 2MHz frequency. i have tried all settings but nothing is working. datasheet of sensor says SPI works on upto 24 MHz frequency.i have given my main.c file in attachments.

Hi Im using stm32f429 disc1 board for adc calculation. The result after calculating is seen through the tera term of one PC is different from the one seen through the serial terminal of Linux.

Hi @Romain DIELEMAN  @Yoann KLEIN  @JTP1 @Mohammad MORADI ESFAHANIASL ...Please guide.....   I'm in the process of developing a screen which takes input from main board and the down timer keeps ticking. LED blinks until the progress bar fills. The requirement for the LED is to blink when the progress bar is filling and become stable green once the down timer displays 0:00.The calculation for the down timer is done inside handleTickEvent() and I get to know that the timer has reached 0:00 inside handleTickEvent() and this is how my code looks.if (testDuration == 0) //To set LED intensity to stable green{      StableRGB(GREEN);}else if ((tickCounter % 30) == 0) //To set LED intensity to blinking green {          if ((BlinkingGREEN() != HAL_OK))         {           //Report error         }}Since the check, w

Hello, I'm new here. I'm doing a project with STBB3J components and I believe I didn't correctly understand how to calculate the resistors that control the output voltage. I followed the example of the same application circuit, which is this (page 4 technical sheet):  Datasheet: STBB3J.fmAnd to configure the output voltage close to 3.3V. I used this equation (page. 18 datasheet):  Considering Vfb = 0.5V, R1 = 150K, and Vout = 3.3V, I have R2 to be approximately 26.8K. When I assemble this set of resistors, the output voltage is approximately 0.6V. As I am using the same application circuit, I believe I did not correctly understand the calculation of the resistors. If anyone could help me I would be grateful.

I'm using a Nucleo-H563ZI in non-secure mode. When I access the FLASHSIZE_BASE address:#define FLASHSIZE_BASE (0x08FFF80CUL) /*!< Flash size data register base address */I get a hard fault (16 or 32 bit access). In the debugger the memory dump at address 0x08FFF80C only shows question marks. Is there anything special to access the flash size data register for the H5 family?

I want to know if the STM32WB series can operate normally with a main frequency of 100 kHz in low-power-run mode, including the RF part?

Hallo everyone,As a relative newbe in the world of MCU programming, I am searching for an acceptable solution for the fast readout of an ADC chip with a SPI interface. It concerns the MCP33131D/10 ADC (16bit, 1MS/s) to be controlled by a STM32F401CCu Blackpill MCU.The ADC SPI works slightly different from the standard SPI protocol: the normally used "CS-not" is named 'CONVST' (CONVersion STart), which controls the 'start acquisition' by its rising edge and signals 'data-available' by its falling edge. As this pulse is produced by the MCU, the 'data-available' is not signaled by the ADC, but must predicted by the program (datasheet: >= 1us after the rising edge). My application should digitize an analog signal every 8us, meaning the CONVST signal must be high during 1 ... 1.5us with a rep-rate of 8us or 125kHz. My first design was the use of a PWM timer signal with a period of 8us and a 1.25us pulse. The interrupt condition 'pulse falling edge' should fire 'PWM_Puls

Hi to all!I have the following question: why do the relays in the circuit start switching when I connect the STM32F1 microcontroller to the computer through the programmer? And similar happens when I initialize RCC. As if all the contacts are being checked and the relays are starting to switch. What could be the problem?I will be grateful for the answer!

Greetings,I'm attempting to make use of the tamper backup registers.I am enabling the RTC and have using LSI as the clock source.ROP is not enabled, I am not using the TAMP input pins, and i am debugging via SWD.As it is at the moment, writing a value using LL_RTC_BKP_SetRegister() then immediately reading back the value using LL_RTC_BKP_GetRegister() always returns a value of 0.I've read through the reference manual. There does not appear to be mentioned any other peripherals/clocks/flags that need to be enabled before using the backup regs. Is that correct? Thanks in advance!

I am using STM32G0c8t6 microcontroller to make a BLDC motor controller. I am connecting the Rx and Tx of UART to a VCU and they are sharing the same battery. Apart from these, there is no other connection between them. And sometimes, for some unknown reason the microcontroller is getting shorted when UART is connected. It is not happening every time, so I am unable to monitor the voltages, etc at the exact moment. On one of the damaged microcontroller, the Tx pin of microcontroller was shorted to ground and Vcc. Rx pin as intact. What could be the potential causes or how can I identify the root cause? how can I protect microcontroller in this case? This is how they are connected.

Hi,I want to program the STM32F103 with JTAG but without the IAR system.is there a tool for that?BRShmuel

HelloI have an STM32MP135x-DK board and have built my own openstllinux image and rootfs for it as shown in this article.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageNow I'm trying to get spi5 to show up in /dev so I can use spidev to write some user applications using spi5 as a generic spi master. The tl;dr is that I'm having issues even getting anything to show up in /sys/class/spi_master, much less /dev/spidev.DETAILS:I have followed the instructions here to configure the kernel and used a separate install of stm32cube IDE with the STM32MP135x-DK example project to generate my device tree with SPI5 enabled. Since then though, I have tried making a lot of hand-edits to my .dts file as I became more familiar with the syntax.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/SPI_overviewHere's what my .config file looks like in my kernel's build directory (with commented out options removed).CONFIG_SPI=yCONFIG_SPI_MASTER=yCONFIG_SPI_MEM=yCONFIG_SPI_GPIO=mCONFIG_SPI_STM32=mCONFIG_S

Hi,It's first time using st product to me.according to that's UM, i thought that connect CN11 to PC it work debugging.but it wasn't and showed warning message "No ST-LINK detected! Please connect ST-LINK and restart the debug session"ST-LINK isn't included on the board? It is necessary to buy ST-LINK/V2? if it is how to connect this board?

I am using the Wireless Connectivity software pack, which automatically generates Wi-Fi and bluetools code files. Due to specific requirements, I have made some modifications to parts of the code files and configured additional pins using CubeMX's IOC. However, every time I press the "Generate Code" button, the compiler regenerates the code files from the software pack, causing my changes to disappear.*I  already know that I need to place my code between /* user code begin */ and /* user code end */, but these tags are not present in the code generated by the software pack.Is there any way to preserve the changes I made in the code files after using CubeMX to generate code? Thank you.

I try to set DMA setting of USART1_RX, USART2_TX both. Bit MX Error message is occurred. as below figure.

Hi @Eleon BORLINI, I am trying to build a custom 9 dof imu using LSM6DSO and LIS3MDL in mode 2, according to LSM6DSO datasheet.I found this page on AN5192 about sensor mode 2 (pg. 63). i2c master would be LSM6DSO and i2c slave would be LIS3MDL in this case. I will only be using i2c communication for reading LSM6DSO and LIS3MDL data.If I were to add external pull ups like the illustration above, what would be the recommended Kohm or, at least, a Kohm for good starting point for the pull up resistors in this case?

Hi, I am trying to build 9 dof imu using LSM6DSO and LIS3MDL, using i2c to write and read lsm6dso and lis3mdl. I am testing the ICs in Raspberry Pi MCU. I am also using sensor hub on LSM6DSO to read/write LIS3MDL.I have two questions that I need help with:1. My first prototype, which combines the two ICs on one pcb in mode 2 (CS pins tied high to VDD_IO) and uses caps and res as illustrated in their datasheets, with no pull up resistors in between SDA and SCL lines connecting LSM6DSO's SDx and SCx pins to LIS3MDL's SDA and SCL pins, returned different LIS3MDL whoami value every time I ran script using lis3mdl_device_id_get() (ex. 0xBF, 0xB2, 0x89, 0x88, 0xF2, 0xB8, 0xC0 and more other random combinations that I don't see on LIS3MDL's datasheet nor any other hex I see on its .c or .h files on github). LSM6DSO always returned 0x6C, which is correct according to the driver on github, as its whoami, and read accel and gyro data properly. I am thinking either LIS3MDL soldering was faulty or

How to simply send a value in a text or numeric zone (textArea)?

Is there an input field for the used shunt value or offset? If not, where can I manipulate the code?

I have an issue when using both PWMs generated by timers TIM2 and TIM3 to control two motors simultaneously. Specifically, when I call the function DC_MOTOR_Init(0), it activates PWM1, and when I call DC_MOTOR_Init(1), it activates PWM2. However, if I call both DC_MOTOR_Init(0) and DC_MOTOR_Init(1) simultaneously, they don't seem to work together. When I call either function alone, it works correctly, but when I attempt to call them simultaneously, there is an issue. Despite the fact that the two timers do not share common resources.. #include "main.h"#include "DC_MOTOR.h"void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);int main(void){HAL_Init();SystemClock_Config();MX_GPIO_Init();DC_MOTOR_Init(1);DC_MOTOR_Init(0);/while (1){}

When code for LINKEDLIST for STM32U575 will be generated (linked_list.c) with STM32CubeMX 6.9.2 several lines are missing. In the attached ioc file (which is only for illustrating the effect) the commands for e.g. setting DMA_DEST_DATAWIDTH_BYTE are missing before HAL_DMAEx_List_BuildNode(&pNodeConfig, &ByteCopy); on line 151 is called.

Hi, I'm designing a low power tilt and shake detection sensor module using the STM32 blue pill board. I'm trying my best to attain the datasheet values of 2-5µA. I have done the following:1) Set all GPIO pins to Analog 2) Disabled all peripherals manually：3) Enabling PWR_CLK decreased current consumption by a little4) Break PWR LED and PC13 LED5) All serial wires disconnected This is how I enter Standby Mode:I powered my board using a 3.7V Lipo battery and my multimeter triggers 0.404mA.Maybe if I remove the pull-up resistor on the NRST pin, I will reduce by another 0.3mA (3.3 / 10kOhm).So where is the remaining 0.1mA coming from?1) Could it be capacitor leakages? 2) Does USB leak current even when not in use?3) The voltage regulator on my board has the markings "LB33 E1A2". According to a schematic I found online:This regulator has a quiescent current of 90µA. But, I'm powering through the 3.3V pin, so it should bypass the regulator anyways. Not sure where the rema

Hi,i'm implementing our field-update using the A/B mechanism for FIP image.Would like to use the Update Client described on the page as a template:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Secure_Firmware_Update#Update_ClientBut no idea where to find it. I didn't find anything promising in the meta- repos from st?Where to get it? I think i will be able to do the metadata things. But it would be interesting how to read the backup registers from Linux:register TAMP_BKP10R ? How to read it?I'm on a STM32MP13xthanks + br,Simon KretschmerDSA Datasystems / comlet GmbH

Hi all, I am triggering ADC conversion from TIM1 and I can't achieve sampling rate higher than 50kHz. I am using STM32G474RE and HAL library. Based on AN5496 and AN5497 I should be able to do it up to 200kHz and my target is 100kHz. I am testing STM32G474 (STEVAL-DPSG474) for a power converter application where i need to sample ADC at 100kHz (Timer TRGO driven). For that purpose I use ADC + DMA sampling without FMAC, and SPI transfering the sampled data.As ADC samples in 16bit format (12bit converter) I am using 2 bytes per data for SPI transfer. A tests would send 2 values through SPI, one comming from ADC (2 variable bytes), and the other a fixed one for debug (2 fixed bytes): // main.c /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ #define Buflen 1 uint16_t adcValue = 0; volatile uint16_t adc_dma_result[Buflen]; uint8_t SPI_buffer_tx[4] = {20, 60, 160, 200}; /* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/ void SystemClock_Config(void); void MX_GPIO_Init(void)

Hello,In document UM3009 §7.3  =>Multi-constellation firmware supports the following constellations: GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BEIDOUand QZSS. All constellations cannot be enabled at the same time, allowed combinations to achievemaximum coverage, are: (GPS+GALILEO+QZSS+GLONASS), (GPS+GALILEO+QZSS+BEIDOU) and(GLONASS+BEIDOU). Any constellation can be enabled as standalone satellite navigation system.Does that means it is impossible to have GLONASS and BEIDOU at the same time? Best regardsMich
