I'm having some trouble setting up ADC1 on an STM32F401CEU6 to use DMA and pacing the conversions with a timer.I want to use 2 channels in scan mode with each ADC channel doing conversion every other time the timer triggers the channel. In other words, for each rising edge of TRGO I want the channels to be sampled and converted in an interleaved fashion.I have  timer3 set to 16 kHz and I verified its output by enabling channel 2 to go to pin PA7. I verified with a scope that the output has edges at the 16 kHz rate. Channel 1 is set to PWM with no output. With ADC1 set up as follows:Scan Conversion Mode: EnabledContinuous Conversion Mode: DisabledDiscontinuous  Conversion Mode: DisabledDMA Continuous Requests: Enabled: I see data being transferred to the buffer and channels 0 and 1 are being sampled, but sample rate isn't 8 kHz per channel. I verified this with a 1Khz square wave being fed into ADC0 and I see a varying number of high and low samples. I should see 8 s

Is it possible to burst transfer a block of data from STM32 internal Flash/SRAM to an external memory mapped peripheral device with an SRAM style interface i.e. Address, Data, CS and R/W using the FMC fed via DMA?

Hello, all, and Happy New Year!I'm trying to design my first microprocessor board. I'm trying to follow the guide given by Phil's Lab on YouTube, at https://youtu.be/nkHFoxe0mrU?si=Dx6cx6-a9yXncmEW, which I find very helpful. I'm using an STM32L010K4Tx in a device that is primarily a timer.I'm not sure I need them, but I wanted to install a High Speed External crystal (HSE) and a Low Speed External crystal (LSE). In the STM32CubeIDE, I have a STM32L010K4Tx set up, and from the Pinout & Configuration Tab, I can select System Core -> RCC. Under RCC Mode and Configuration, I select High Speed Clock (HSE) and for Low Speed Clock (LSE), I select "Crystal/Ceramic Resonator." The pinout diagram seems to show pin 2:RCC_OSC32_IN and pin 3: SCC_OSC32_OUT, which is where I believe that I should connect either side of the HSE crystal and its capacitors. There's also pin 6: RCC_CK_IN but no RCC_CK_OUT pin.Can someone help me configure the STM32L010K4 to include a LSE crystal or ceramic reson

Hello, I have been trying to make a driver for the Winbond(W25N01GV)  NAND flash over QSPI(to use it in memory-mapped mode) but I've been failing so far. Can somebody give me some ideas about what I am doing wrong? I used W25Q256 before, but now I want to replace it with W25N01. PS: If you know any working qspi driver I would be happy to send me the link.

Hello . I need to make a device for testing car headlights. I'm going to turn them on and check if all the lights are working. new models of car headlights work via can bus and lin. what stm32 will I need and what components. the device is supposed to send can bus or lin signals to the headlamp to turn it on.This is https://youtu.be/pWKM9b7_jAM?feature=shared

I'm using system bootloader to write to flash memory on NUCLEO-H503RB evaluation board. The interface used is UART. I received ACK confirmation (0x79) for every command I sent: UART bootloader activation (0x7F), Extended Erase Memory (0x44) and multiple Write Memory commands (0x31). I'm writing about 58K to flash. When I checked what was actually written I found out that only first 600 (!?) bytes are correct but all the rest bytes are 0xFF's! Do you have any idea what the problem is? Only thing I noticed that first 600 bytes are actually vector table (150 pointers x 4 byte per pointer). So, vector table is written well, but all other bytes are not, even though I received ACK confirmation for every command. Some background information. I'm doing this programming with other STM32 microcontroller (to be precise it is STM32H765). I'm reading HEX file from the SD card. I checked every step of programming. Did I read correct bytes from the file on SD card? Yes. Did I write each and every byte

Hey, I'm following the Getting started tutorial and have some troubles at the chapter "Modify, rebuild and reload the Linux kernel":https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernel Everything works up until Building the Linux images withmake ARCH=arm uImage vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040This creates the following error:CALL scripts/checksyscalls.shCC drivers/clk/clk-scmi.odrivers/clk/clk-scmi.c: In function ‘scmi_clk_round_rate_get’:drivers/clk/clk-scmi.c:49:33: error: ‘const struct scmi_clk_proto_ops’ has no member named ‘round_rate_get’49 | ret = scmi_proto_clk_ops->round_rate_get(clk->ph, clk->id, &round_rate);| ^~drivers/clk/clk-scmi.c: In function ‘scmi_clk_get_duty_cycle’:drivers/clk/clk-scmi.c:61:33: error: ‘const struct scmi_clk_proto_ops’ has no member named ‘get_duty_cycle’61 | ret = scmi_proto_clk_ops->get_duty_cycle(clk->ph,

Do you think that it is common for the function bellow (arraySize = 32) to take approximately 125us to execute? The for loop is the main problem as it takes almost 120us to execute.I am using STM32G474ret6u MCU, with clock at 170Mhz? Also the optimization is set to -03.Does anyone have any idea in which direction should I go to optimize it? I'm trying to get the LPUART working with BDMA on a STM32H7A3 MCU.  Eventually I'd like to set it up so the MCU goes into a low power state and wakes up when it receives a LF character match in the incoming message, but for now I'm just trying to get a small test program working starting with just transmitting some bytes using BDMA.  I have DMA with character match working on a regular UART with DMA and I'm using that code as an example along with the reference manual sections on the LPUART and BDMA. I think I'm doing everything the reference manual says to do but maybe I missed or misunderstood something. I can send characters out the LPUART without DMA and see them show up on my logic analyzer but when I try to do a BDMA transmit, nothing shows up on the LPUART_TX line to trigger the logic analyzer.I've read this article ( https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/dma-is-not-working-on-stm32h7-devices/ta-p/49498 ) many times and it seems pretty clear I should be making su

I am using STVD IDE to write code for STM8 the compiler I am using is Cosmic STM8 C compiler and the standard peripheral library provided for STM8. The problem I have is while evaluating and if statement for and input pin, if the condition is "== 0" or "== RESET" like the below code the code behaves properly, and the condition is evaluated successfully.```if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == RESET)if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == 0)```But when evaluation the if statement with "== 1" or "== SET" as shown below the condition is never met despite measuring high (3.3V) on the actual input itself```if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == SET)if(GPIO_ReadInputPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_2) == 1)```I managed to make a workaround that by making the condition "!= 0" or "!= RESET" as shown below it is evaluated successfully and the code behaves properly, but I don't really understand why it works with "!= 0" or "!= and not with "== 0" or "== RESET", does it has anything to do with the com

Hello,I'm having weird problems with code crashing, perhaps related to how I have IRAM1/IRAM2 set up in my project:Looking in the reference manual, I see that the SRAM starting at 0x2000_0000 is the DTCM_RAM on TCM interface (data RAM?), the SRAM starting at 0x2400_0000 is the D1 domain, AXI SRAM but I don't see any documentation for how big either of these are.  I also can't figure out what is meant in Keil by IRAM1 vs. IRAM2 (Google is not very helpful), although I suspect that question might not be within the scope of the STM forums...If anyone can help with this I will really appreciate it!Thanks,-Brian

Hello   I have two STM Nucleo-WL55JC2 boards. I have tried running the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example and it works flawlessly.  When observed using TeraTerm, I am only able to see the RSSI and the SNR values.  I also need to observe the latency of this communication (The time taken for the transmitted message to be received).  Kindly guide me through on how I could modify the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example in order to observe this.  I am using STM32CubeIDE.   Thank You

Hi,Currently, we are facing an accuracy problem when using the built-in DAC on the STM32F407 (with buffer enabled). As the built-in reference voltage measured 2.0005V, we set the DOR to 0x800, expecting to get 1.25V on the DAC output. However, we actually measured 1.238V, which is 122mV away from the ideal. All tests were made with the DAC under no load. As I've seen in datasheets and many posts, the mentioned DAC output range will be 0.2V~ (VDDA-0.2V) when the buffer is enabled. Could I suspect that the DAC output offset specification is within (IDEAL ±0.2V)? Given the 122mV error mentioned above, it's hard to estimate the output accuracy without any listed specifications to refer to. Overall, I think the built-in buffer actually works and is usable, but we really need more information about it to leverage it better.Thanks.

The FDCAN loopback test of G474 can enter the receive interrupt, but normally the two devices communicate with each other, and when one of the devices is used to debug, it is found that the interrupt cannot be entered。

I have a problem on a new project I have never encountered before.  When I go to rebuild I aways get the following error for the same files or when I try to debug right after building:  make -j8 all make: stat: F:/Projects/Smart-Fly/PwrEq/MCUs/STM32/STM32G0xx/Drivers/STM32G0xx_LL_Driver/Inc/stm32g0xx_ll_bus.h F:/Projects/Smart-Fly/PwrEq/MCUs/STM32/STM32G0xx/Drivers/STM32G0xx_LL_Driver/Inc/stm32g0xx_ll_comp.h: Invalid argumentmake: *** No rule to make target 'F:/Projects/Smart-Fly/PwrEq/MCUs/STM32/STM32G0xx/Drivers/STM32G0xx_LL_Driver/Inc/stm32g0xx_ll_bus.h F:/Projects/Smart-Fly/PwrEq/MCUs/STM32/STM32G0xx/Drivers/STM32G0xx_LL_Driver/Inc/stm32g0xx_ll_comp.h', needed by 'Sources/Units/QCM/MCUs/STM32G030C6/Firmware/Unit/src/SysCtl.o'. When I clean and then go to debug the projects rebuilds and will go int

Hello, I have several boards to design where we can fit everything into the STM32F103. We don't need USB, CAN, or Ethernet. However, the price for the '103 isn't that different from the '403 or the '722. So for a brand new project which family would be best to use? For long term availability is it better to use one of the newer processors like the STM32F722 even though we don't need the additional peripherals?BTW, thank you for maintaining footprint compatibility: the STM32F103 in LQFP144 is almost exactly the same as the STM32F722 in LQFP144.

Hi,I'm trying to run dual QSPI Flash with my own design STM32H750XBH6. Flashes are 256 mbit MX25L25645. Single mode 32 mb flash read, write and boot succesfully. However, when I switch to dual chip mode, i get a write error (constant 0XFF) on the 2nd chip after 0x93000001 (48 mb) adresses. (adress 0x90000000 to 0x92FFFFFF  working very well. )

I'm using an STM32F401RCT6 to create a very accurate millisecond timer for a school project. When the second interrupt of the alarm triggers i set a new CCR1 value and reset the timer. But it seems like the timer just ignores this. Only when i set a breakpoint in the function and resume it updates. Can anyone help me?Everything else works, i get a square wave of 50%. But it just doesnt seem to update.

Hello, I've used TIM2 to count to 100000 every second. With this i hope to make a very accurate millisecond timer. I can see the counter succesfully going to 1s and then i reset it manually using the RTC interrupt. Now i want to use an output compare with no output to trigger an interrupt. But i can't do it. Please someone help me.
