I was working on my stm32f411re nucleo boards. i was using two of them with spi full duplex mode one as the master and the other one as the slave. I was working on my codes and at a certain point when i tried to debug one, it asked me to upgrade my st-link and i upgraded. then, all of a sudden i wasnt able to debug my stm. The occuring error is like;I connect my STM -> I start Debug -> it builds, loads, verifies -> It stopts at HAL_Init() function as always -> when i start F8(continue) it gives the following error it gives exactly the same errors on both boards. I tried it on a different computer that was using a newer version of the IDE(I was using 1.13.1 and it was version 1.14.0) and on that computer it also asked to upgrade st-link. It upgraded again and started debugging normally. I upgraded my STM32CubeIDE to 1.14.0 but the result is the same. I need help once again guys.

Hello STM community.I have in my possesion an ST microcontroller with the following information printed on it:72F521AR5T99021 V5  MYS 99 and 3 other digits in the end which I am not able to figure them out. I understand that this must be a very old cpu but I felt the need to ask if there is any way to program it. Specifically, I have an old PCB (Runner Version 9.08.9 HAB - incorporates an alarm system) and I would like to play with it. I tried finding it online, but there isn't anything helpful on the internet.  If anybody has faced these series of CPUs or has any idea on the above matter would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.                                                          &n

Hi  I am a hardware design base person, it's been a while I wrote the code.  I have one STM NUCLEO-F401RE board and one sht3x i2c sensor. I wonder how to make them working (at least print sensor information via UART serial port). I see some source code like sht3x.c and sht3x.h are provided on Github(https://github.com/henriheimann/stm32-hal-sht3x). I follow the instruction to cpoy them into INC and SRC in STM32CubeIDE project However, I encounter lots error messages while building the code. Could anyone help to have a step-by-step walkthrough about how to bring it up?

Hi,I am working with STM32G4. I am generating 1Khz PWM from my Timer2 and TImer1 I am using for delay(I configured it for 50 usec delay with interrupt).Both timer2 and timer1 working as expected.1.For every pwm pulse start I need to read adc for 50 usec after pulse start and after 800 usec of pulse start I need to check the GPIO this is my logic.Now for testing purpose at 50 usec I am setting the led and at 800 usec I am resetting the led. But this is not working as expected.  HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim1); HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_IT(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_2); setPWM_DutyCycle(TIM_CHANNEL_2,50); void HAL_TIM_PWM_PulseFinishedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim->Instance == TIM2) { dcheck.flagon_50usec=1; if(delay.flag_50 == 1){ // HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc2); // HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc2, HAL_MAX_DELAY); // adcValues[currentIndex] = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc2); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, user_led,GPIO_PIN_SET); delay.flag_50 = 0; dcheck.flagon_50usec

Hello,  I have tried for the last couple of days to get use 2 pots to change the frequency and duty cycle of a PWM signal using "Bare Metal" programming due to the flash limitation of the STM32L011K4T6 I rapidly ran out of space using HAL and was not able to make this fit. I am using the STM32 Nucleo-L011K4 Board The Issue I am having is under HAL I got the STM32L011K4T6 to read from 1 Pot and output a variable frequency PWM signal or 2 Pots and no PWM Signal due to size limitations. So I switched to Bare Metal Programming and have had nothing but issues even though I set the registers the same and have followed multiple different guides online but every time I wait for the ADC_ISR_EOC flag to be set it gets set as soon as I trigger ADC_CR_ADCSTART but then disappears as soon as I get into the while variable so it forms an infinite loop.at this point I do not know what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Code Belowuint32_t freq = 0; float d

I added a TIM16 to the project with interrupts to handle the servoUnfortunately, after adding it, the program started to crashBelow are screenshots of where it started to crashDoes anyone know how to fix this?This is how I configured TIM16:  this is an i2c configuration:

HiI have a problem with the right priority setting, although I am not sure.The genelranie timer worked for me and refreshed the LCD screen every 375ms, but when I added interrupts for the ADC (needs to handle a potentiometer) then suddenly the TIM6 stopped working. Debugging the code I noticed that after going through this instruction:HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim6);terminates the program, it just doesn't continue. This can be seen in the posted screenshots.Do you have any ideas? I also tried using DMA and unfortunately the effect was the same :(

In datasheet for STM32G431 series and RM0440 (applicable reference), there are references to ADC12 (I'm encountering this when working on ADC converter, pin and channel assignments for an application.) There doesn't appear to be a specific definition of ADC12, however, in a couple of places it appears this is shorthand for "ADC1 OR ADC2". For example, if I encounter ADC12_5 (not a specific quote, but the general idea applies), should I interpret this as "I can use either ADC1 channel 5 or ADC2 channel 5 per my preference)? Thanks for any guidance/clarification.

HiIm using Stm32f429 disc1 board internal adc im using the signal generator and giving constant input but the waveform after plotting gives variation for each trail.

I tried to send a RTR frame to another CAN peripheral , another node received the RTR bit successfully and RTR bit in the node has been set. Does the node receiving the RTR frame will transmit the Message automatically? or We have to read the RTR bit and send the Message Manually? Other than RTR bit Do I need to set any other Bits in other registers ?

I have a convolutional model with convolutional layers bach normalization layers and Dense layers at the end. The model is converted to a tflite model. The inferencing works perfect on computer using tflite but When I try to deploy it on the nucleo h743zi2 I get this error.The network layers ans its shape look like it is shown in the pic. Has anyone come across this problem?As far my understanding goes, I did not do wrong model creation. It is some bad interpretation from STM Cube library.Additional Info: I am using STM Cube AI version 7.1.0Thanks in advanceRick

Hello dear ST-Forum,I have a problem that I can't solve, the sound coming from the microphones is very noisy and none of the acquired data sounds like a sound and this despite all the documentation (MP34DT01 datasheet, AN4990, AN5027, ...) and videos (STM on youtube) that I have seen.I use an Octave program to retrieve the sound data from the UART port.My DFSDM configuration is: 80MHz audio clock, divide by 40. So I have 2MHz PDM clock and I use a low-pass filter (Sinc 3 filter) with FOSR=125 so I capture a signal at 16 kHz. The card has 2 stereo microphones, so I didn't forget to put a channel on the rising edge and a channel on the falling edge.Here's the code for the microcontroller program and for the Octave program.For the variables: #define AUDIO_REC 2048int32_t RecBuff0[AUDIO_REC];int32_t RecBuff1[AUDIO_REC];int8_t FullConv0 = 0;int8_t HalfConv0 = 0;int8_t FullConv1 = 0;int8_t HalfConv1 = 0;int32_t PlayBuff0[AUDIO_REC];int32_t PlayBuff1[AUDIO_REC];I only use STM32CubeIDE de

Hello,I am currently working to get CAN transmission to work on a STM32F072B-DISCO. I am continuously getting a BIT_DOMINANT_ERROR in the LEC of the CAN_ESR when attempting to transmit. I am using a TCAN1044 (https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tcan1044v-q1.pdf) as the CAN transceiver with the following connections:TCAN PIN | Connection1 | PA122 | GND3 | 5V4 | PA115 | 3V6 | CANL7 | CANH8 | GNDThere is also a 120 ohm terminating resistor at both ends CAN Bus, and only one other device is connected, which is a PCAN-USB reader for viewing transmitted CAN messaged. The PCAN was tested previously on another device and works without issues.Here is my code:/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "main.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ /* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef ----------------------

I've taken a look at AN5105 (Getting started with touch sensing control on STM32 microcontrollers) where they present a list with microcontrollers that support capsense:STM32F0 seriesSTM32F3 seriesSTM32L0 seriesSTM32L1 seriesSTM32L4 seriesSTM32L4+ seriesSTM32L5 seriesSTM32U5 seriesSTM32WB seriesSTM32WBA serieI've been looking at the product selector pages to see which one of these would support ethernet, but as far as I can see none of them do? Am I overlooking something here?We're now using a cypress PSoC1 for capsense and an NXP M3 mcu for ethernet connectivity and we wanted to merge them into 1. I'm not that familiar yet with the STM32 product portofolio but the devtools seem to work very well.With kind regards

Hello! I have a problem with simulator. When switching between screens (no animation) simulator crashes. The finalizeTransition function returns, after that the application ticks one time, and then crashes. Everything is executed normally on the target though.I recently switched to TouchGFX 23.0 Can it be somehow related?Any advice on how to fix the simulator?

hello I today trying can communication loopback mode working but normal mode bit LEC register showing timing error.

Hello, I am trying to establish standard CAN communication between the sn65hvd230 IC and the stm32f4 discovery and stm32f103. While the loopback mode works fine, when it sends data to the normal mode, the output goes to 0 and then back to 1. I still haven't found a solution.

Hello Everyone. My how the forum has changed. Just dropping a recent odd experience here to see if anyone might have any comments. No. I don't use CubeMx and no this isn't another 3 year anniversary item regarding initializing the DMA before any peripherals that use it. We do that by default. However - working on a colleagues project, I have some code written to do some work that IS HAL library style stuff.Getting a DMA controlled transmission from SPI 3 from the micro.I have a DMA transmission from SPI 1 working. So I am familiar…….Second Saturday in a row working on this for SPI3…..    Nothing I try works when using the DMA approach.I can get all the SPI 3 hardware to work and send data if I call the BLOCKING SPI routine. NOT using the DMA.Dumped out tons of register settings – All looks as it should.Finally I give in to what I figure is a LOOOOOOOOOOONNNGGGGGG shot . --------              Try a different

Hi All,I have configured for STM32L071xx xx controller bare metal. I was not able to find X-Cube-Mems1 for the controller.Please me know if LIS2MDL (or Mems package) is not supported on STM32L0 series?PFA screen shot of the STM32Cube IdeThanks,Milind

Hi,I am using a custom board to do some application (https://www.waveshare.com/openh743i-c-package-b.htm). On this application I should turn on LTDC (to use it with touchgfx) and I am also using the RTC.When I am only using RTC alone, the RTC clock is correct and I can see it on pin MCO1 via my oscilloscope a good shape.But when I turn on RTC and LTDC, the shape is wrong frequency (clock is slower 10seconds) is different then 32.768Khz and dutyCycle is different from time to time.Can I fix this issue via S/W?

I have two functions to calculate the phase via DFT. In both functions, real and imaginary parts are first calculated, and then the phase is determined using different methods.The first function employs the standard atan2f function from the math.h to calculate the phase. The execution time for this function is approximately 126 us.The second function utilizes the CORDIC phase function, which essentially performs the same task as atan2. Surprisingly, the execution time for this CORDIC-based approach is not much faster, taking around 121 microseconds.This result raises questions because, according to the reference manual, the CORDIC calculation should take approximately 10 clock cycles, equivalent to around 50 nanoseconds on my MCU. I am utilizing HAL_CORDIC_CalculateZO() to obtain the results.Is this expected and does anyone have an idea how to get the specified calculation time. I would be pleased with 10us?

In this document it's stated that STM32H5 devices implements the FPv5 floating-point extensions.From there, how do I know the proper flags to pass to gcc to enable the FPU? -mfpu=fpv5-sp-d16 -mfpu=fpv5-d16other ?

I am working on IHM02A1 expansion board. I want .ioc file to visualize the configurations made in x-cude-spn2. How to get them.

Hi,I am using STM32G491RE. I have to read temperature values from ADC. We  used voltage divider circuit to map the voltage values with temperature values it is non linear change between volatge and temperature.I tried below wayconst uint16_t adc_values[182] = {/* mention all voltage values*/};const uint16_t temperature_values[182]={/* mention corresponding temperature values*/};const int calibration_points = sizeof(adc_values) / sizeof(adc_values[0]);float mapADCtoTemperature(uint16_t adc_value) {for (int i = 0; i < calibration_points; i++) {if(adc_value==adc_values[i]){return temperature_values[i];}}return -1.0;} while(1){HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1);HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, HAL_MAX_DELAY);uint16_t adc_value = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1);float voltage=(float)adc_value/4095.0 * 3.3;float temperature = mapADCtoTemperature(voltage);char buff[100];sprintf(buff,"ADC value: %d,voltage:%.2f V,Temperature: % .2f C\r\n",adc_value,voltage,temperature);} With ab

We are working on developing a host-module that requires two-way device authenticationThe controller we are planning to use is the STM32WL55 Series.We have the following Queries.1) Does STM32WL55 has a functionality to locally generate a certificate or a private public key pair that is not readable even by the FW itself ?Our goal is complete security of the device key/certificate.2) Does STM32WL55 has a secure storage functionality where it can store externally generated certificates/keys?Our goal is to store keys in unreadable form but still accessible for security operations.We need a brief explanation of how the mentioned functionality can be achieved on the STM32WL55 microcontroller.Also please share all the relevant documents and Example code explaining the security architecture of STM32WL55
