When I use STM32Uxx boards with USB device and STM32CubeU5 drivers/libraries - I cannot make use of ADC1.I want to use ADC1 also (not just USB), to measure VCORE and Temperature. It is a SW issue (and it can be fixed), not a HW issue.Details:I use STM32U5xx (e.g. NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q, with user USB-C as USB VCP UART. The related demo for it is in STM32CubeU5 USBX/Ux_Device_CDC_ACM (starting from it for my project). It is a USB device VCP UART demo. The ADC1 is used as USB VSENSE!So, even you configure ADC1 for your own purposes, e.g. you provide your own MX_ADC1_Init() and void HAL_ADC_MspInit(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc) - it is not really acting: your config is overwritten by the USB driver:See in file ".../Drivers/BSP/STM32U5xx_Nucleo/stem32u5xx_nucleo_usbpd_pwr.c" that the same ADC1 is initialized again. It overwrites your settings for ADC1. And the measurement done for USB VSENSE seems to change your ADC1 config (e.g. back to one channel only). In function "int32_t BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUS

Using st25DV tag on our embedded system. In short, the second I2c read does not display the same data that was written. It differs, as the first byte changes to 0xFF. When I write to the mailbox the first time, and then read the data, it's the same. ( usually just a couple of bytes )But when I read it again, I see that the first byte changed to 0xFF, and all of the bytes that I had written were shifted. Here is what it looks like when writing  "01 02" to the mailbox and reading it First read: 01 02 ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff Second read: ff 01 02 ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff  According to the documentation, I can read it multiple times, don't understand why it fails.

Hi! I have a nucleo WB55 board that I am using for a project. I know with other nucleo boards, it is possible to power them externally with 5V or 7-12V. However, I am not able to verify whether this is possible on the NUCLEO WB55 board, as I can't find the external power supply guidance/instructions in the User Manual. My aim is to power the board directly with either 12V or 5V but I don't know if this is doable, or the how I could go about it if it is. Please let me know your thoughts.

Hello,I am looking for Gerber files of the SPC58EC-DISP boardIn the CAD resources folder I could find just the schematic, BOM and Layout in a .pdf file.https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/spc58ec-disp.html#cad-resourcesBest regards

Hello Team, I am looking for Battery Management evaluation boards to verify the algorithms like SOC, SOH and SOE, protection and safety modules.   Can anyone suggest suitable STM evaluation boards with software tools for the software development.   I have look through one of the boards EVAL-L9963E-MCU evaluation board, but it is having preloaded GUI to verify the L9963E chip, but I am looking for the software development board to write the algorithms and develop the application software by own.   BR Venkat

hello~I am using the spc58ec disp chip and want to continuously send CAN messages of different cycles. Here is the code what i wrote:////void send_10ms(){    uint32_t rv;    CANTxFrame msg_10ms;    msh_10ms.ID = 0x11U;    msh_10ms.DLC = 8U;    msh_10ms.data32[0] = 0x1234U;    rv = can_lld_transmit(&CAND2, 0, &msg_10ms);    osalThreadDelayMilliseconds(10);}// and also have a similer fcuntion which send 100ms can message////I want them to send in different cycles. The above can messages can only be sent in 100ms, how should they be modified?Thank you~

Hello all,I've encountered an issue while porting 2_Images_KMS B-L4S5I-IOT01 project onto STM32F756ZGTxx.My build fails while compiling nvms_low_level.c file:Source of the issue is FLASH driver for STM32F7, which is different from STM32L4. Do you have maybe some quick fix for it or does it require a bit more tweaking?

I am working on a project for my company that would like to use an STM32 processor that can both connect to a camera for capturing video data, and also connect to a 2TB SD card (SDXC) for storing said video data. We're aiming for the videos to be at least 1080p and 15fps. Ideally, we're also looking for being able to connect a microphone to add audio to the video files. The older version of our product used the STM32L452CEU6. It does not have SDMMC support (because it's the 48-pin version) but we were able to connect an adapter to a SPI peripheral and read/write to a 32GB SD card (SDHC). I've been put on hold for now with testing the adapter with the SDXC card, but in the meantime I wanted to ask if it would generally be possible on this STM32L452CEU6, if there are any differences to account for when using SDXC instead of SDHC, etc.We were also looking into changing the processor to STM32U599/5A9 instead (of which all versions do support SDMMC). I think it should still be able to suppor

I'm developing a new project based on STM32G431RB using STM32CubeIDE 14.1.0 on macOSI'm having touble where the program will hang at the first call of HAL_Delay() and digging deeper it's hanging because HAL_GetTick always returns 0It looks like the SysTick timer is not running, or it's interrupt is not being called.I do not have interrupts enabled on any other peripherals.I have TIM1 configured as CH1_CH1N and that is working.I have TIM2 configured in Encoder mode, and that is working too.The only thing that is not working seems to be the System Timer. What could I possibly have done to disable it?My clock source is set to HSIHere is my "main"int main(void){  /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ uint8_t msg[64]; uint32_t lastCount;  /* USER CODE END 1 */  /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/  /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */  HAL_Init();  /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */  /* USER CO

I am trying to follow the getting started guide (UM2262) for the SBSFU using our own hardware.  I have got as far getting to the main "secure boot and secure firmware update" screen in Tera Term, however when trying to send the .sfb file, I get the following error - "File not correctly received". The only information I can find is in the user manual with the following description for the error- "During a local download procedure, the download operation did not complete successfully (Ymodem protocol issue)." I have checked the Tera Term settings, and they are set as per the getting started guide.I realise that I need the STSAFE - A-110 device connected via I2C, which I have not done yet - could that be the cause?Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks

Hello guys, I hope you're doing well, I'm currently trying to replicate a video I saw on YouTube about audio processing using stm, I'm just starting to develop for stm and I'm having some doubts, mainly in terms of libs. I'm trying to convert between int and float and I'm almost sure there's a lib that does this, in the video it uses INT16_TO_FLOAT and FLOAT_TO_INT16, do you know how I can use them? Below is a section of the video showing how they are used. Thanks in advance for your help. leftIn = INT16_TO_FLOAT * inBufPtr[n];outBufPtr[n] = (int16_t)(FLOAT_TO_INT16 * leftOut);https://youtu.be/zlGSxZGwj-E?si=GQmDbewvicybIJrO&t=1049

Hi everyone,I'm working on a project which we use nucleo401re board and IKS01A2 mems expansion board. I mounted IKS01A2 on 401RE board properly and load the datalogterminal.bin file into the microcontroller. After i start unicleo, it connects to the board but does not allow to hit start button. There is nothing on the unicleo screen but it says connected to the board. At first connection it started once but after that i can not start the communication any more.Thank you.

In Keil, if you open a file with the extension .map, you can find information about starting address of stack and so on. See screen. How can I determine the starting address of the stack in CubeIDE?

Hi,I want to know if there is a provision to lock an entire area in ST25TV tags. I can see from the datasheet that blocks 0 and 1 can be locked, but I cannot see anything for other blocks. I know that I can use a password to do same but I do not want to use passwords. Basically, I want to write to an area in the tag and make it non-editable forever. Is this possible ?

I have a VL53L8CX time of flight sensor connected via I2C on a custom board. The Board has other devices that can talk on I2C no problem. now i cant see the i2c address of the ToF device. from my understanding everything seems to be fine and in accordance with the datasheet. However there are two things that might be not correct and i want to make sure that my assumptions are not wrong. about the LPn pin (A2) in the datasheet this is written:Enables communication. Drive this pin to logic 0to disable I²C communication when the device isin low-power mode. Drive this pin to logic 1 toenable I²C communication in low-power mode. This pin is typically used when you need tochange the I²C address in multidevice systems. Ifit is not used, or if interfacing via the SPI,connect to IOVDD with a 47 kΩ pullup resistor I dont plan to use the low power i2c mode. so i connected it to IOVDD via a 47kohm resistor. Was this correct? the other thing i am not sure about are

Hello community ,I have configured STM32G030 as SPI Slave in DMA mode where master commands poll rate at 50 ms . I have set NSS pin as Hardware input as it is slave . As soon as NSS pin PB0 detects ,SPI DMA transmission starts in hardware level. Payload length is 9 Bytes where last two bytes are dummy . sometimes one bit is in 7th byte's nibble(checksum) is getting left shifted by 1 . so checksum is getting failed . example:- {0x44,0x00,0x00,0x11,0x00,0x00,0x8a,0x00,0x00,};(checksum should be 0x89 (1000 1001) ,but it is received as 0x8a(1000 1010))kindly give your suggestions for solving this    SPI_HandleTypeDef spi_handle; DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_spi1_tx; DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_spi1_rx; uint8_t hctrl_input_msg[10]; uint8_t hctrl_output_msg[10] ; void HAL_SPI_MspInit(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct; if(hspi->Instance == MB_SPI) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_MspInit 0 */

Hi there!Experimenting FLASH reading/writing I done a fanny test that is giving an unexpected (to me) result.Basically:1) I defined  2 32 bytes buffers (aRbuff for read, and aWbuff for write) u32t aWbuff[8U] = { 0x00010203, 0x04050607, 0x08090A0B, 0x0C0D0E0F, 0x10111213, 0x14151617, 0x18191A1B, 0x1C1D1E1F }; volatile u32t aRbuff[8U] = {0};  2) I implemented my read, write and erase function and i integrated them into the main infinite loop  if(bIsErase == TRUE) { EraseFLASHsectors(uiADRtest, uiSect2Erase); bIsErase = FALSE; } if(bIsWrite == TRUE) { printf("Writing FLASH memory...\r\n"); WriteFLASHdata(uiADRtest, aWbuff, 32U); bIsWrite = FALSE; } if(bIsRead == TRUE) { printf("\r\n"); printf("Reading flash...\r\n"); ReadFLASHdata(uiADRtest, aRbuff, 8U); printf("0x%08X, 0x%08X, 0x%08X, 0x%08X,\r\n", aRbuff[0], aRbuff[1], aRbuff[2], aRbuff[3]); printf("0x%08X, 0x%08X, 0x%08X, 0x%08X,\r\n", aRbuff[4], aRbuff[5], aRbuff[6], aRbuff[7

Hi, I need 60370 class-B certification, but without incorporating libraries that we cannot check ourselves. So, I rather develop bare-metal tests than dropping the X-CUBE-CLASSB object into the code. Testing the Cortex-M0 core should be possible with just about 100 lines of assembly, much more efficient than a library full of functions we do not need. Is that code available, can someone help me? thanks, Henk

Hello,I'm working on artificial intelligence on STM32H747. I started my work with projects on FP-AI-VISION. First, I solved the display problem caused by NT35510 and tried the project again. When I tried it, I got the look in the first photo. At first I couldn't understand what was happening because I thought the problem would be solved when I fixed the screen. Afterwards, I debugged the code and saw that the BSP_CAMERA_INIT function branched to Error Handler. I looked into what error message I was getting and saw that I was getting the BSP_ERROW_UNKNOWN_COMPONENT error. How can I solve this problem? I just unpacked the camera so I hardly find the risk of the camera getting a hardware fault. Do I need any extra action to operate the camera?Best Regards,Bedirhan Köksoy I

if I make my own widget, can it be added to the palette among the supplied widgets? The second question is about the properties panel. I can somehow configure it for a custom widget and put my widget parameters on it.If it cannot be added to the widget panel, I would use a custom container. Can a properties panel be set for a custom container? thxJN

Hi All, I am trying to develop a loader application to load a firmware image on to the NOR flash memory using QUAD SPI. I am not sure about the NOR flash memory part available on the STM32H747I-eval board. There is only limited details on it as it obsolete. I am planning to use the "1-Gbit twin Quad-SPI NOR flash memory or two 512-Mbit Quad-SPI NOR flash" as in the user manual. Assuming the part is Micron - MT25QL01GB it tried to erase a sector. But it did not work. I configured the M7 core for quad SPI. Below is my QSPI setting also attaching my main.c and QSPI files. I am new with QSPI and NOR Flash memories. Am I doing something wrong?  Your help appreciated! Thanks,Senhqspi.Instance = QUADSPI;hqspi.Init.ClockPrescaler = 2;hqspi.Init.FifoThreshold = 4;hqspi.Init.SampleShifting = QSPI_SAMPLE_SHIFTING_NONE;hqspi.Init.FlashSize = 25;hqspi.Init.ChipSelectHighTime = QSPI_CS_HIGH_TIME_1_CYCLE;hqspi.Init.ClockMode = QSPI_CLOCK_MODE_0;hqspi.Init.FlashID = QSPI_FLASH_ID_1;hqspi

I use the NUCLEOH563-ZI board and I want to use RTC. I configured the RTC with the LSI clock. I loaded a default date/time. On the other hand, my time does not change...My Init code :My source code to retrieve the timeThank you for your help !Ghislain

I am making use of TIMERs in STM32 in interrupt mode, and my doubt lies in its settings. It is known the formula to calculate the update event is given by: UpdateEvent = Timerclock / (Prescaler+1)(Period+1)Considering that the TimerClock is 48MHz and I wish an Update Event of 0.5s. In theory, it can be achieved with different combinations of prescaler and period values. My question is, how does the choice of the Prescaler and Period influence the system, is it better to have a higher Prescaler and a lower Period or vice-versa or it does not have a relevant impact at all?timer

I'm quite new to STM32, and I'm trying to get LwIP up and running on my NUCLEO-H723ZG. No matter what I've tried so far, my board has always goes into HardFault, specifically during MX_LWIP_Init(), when the HAL calls etharp_raw(). Here is the full call stack for reference:Here are the lines of code in etharp.c in which the HardFault occurs:etharp_request_dst():etharp_raw():These are the steps I followed so far:Set up a new CubeIDE project for the NUCLEO-H723ZG board, and enabled:Speculation, ICache, DCache, MPUDebug with Trace Async SwUSB Device, CDC class (I need it)FreeRTOS with CMSIS_V2, USE_NEWLIB_REENTRANTETH, Rx descriptor to 0x30000000, Tx descriptor to 0x30000100LwIP, LAN8742 interface, heap pointer to 0x30000200Set my clock configuration to use the High Speed Internal RC (this NUCLEO board doesn't have a HSE crystal), 550MHz clock Set the SYS timebase to TIM6Followed the detailed guide by @Adam BERLINGER in this forum postSet up the MPU

Hi,I'm having a hard time to find a supplier for an o-ring to get the ILPS28QSW sensor waterproof. In AN5937 ST mentioned they use an o-ring with: ID 1.8mm, thickness 0.5mm (see picture below)Does anyone here know any supplier who make these, or have used another size with good results? For example if a thickness of 0.75mm would work? I'm afraid the o-ring might be to big?And FYI: The cylinder formed hole for the sensor is very similar to the one ST is using in AN5937  O-ring from AN5937:Dimensions of the ILPS28QSW from the datasheet:
