Hello, I am working on STM32H743VIT6 MCU. when I generate the code, I get MPU_Config(void) function instead of MX_GPIO_init(void) with no GPIO configuration. How can I fix this? Thank you in advance

Hi, I'm using STM32F767ZG on a development board (Fusion for STM32 V8 by Mikroelectronica).   My problem is that all ADCs will read 4095 for the first 2.3 seconds after power on. If I perform a reset on the uC, they read correctly from the first read. Also, if I power down, hold the reset button, then power on and wait ~3 second and then release the reset button, they will read fine immediately.   I suspect that the analog reference voltage on the uC on the board has an issue stabilizing quick enough, but 2.3 seconds seems waaaay too big.   Sample code: ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV2; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; hadc1.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVEDGE_NONE; hadc1.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATA

Hello community,I am trying to show a shape (line) or text on a background a TFT parallel RGB Display. I am using the NUCLEOH7A3 board without external RAM and a 800x320 Display.Everything works fine using TouchGFX. So it is not a hardware problem or CLK. But I want to program it buy my self using other libraries.I copied the files and functions from the STM32H7B3i Discovery LCD example (stm32h7b3i_discovery_lcd.c and stm32h7b3i_discovery_lcd.h) and changed them a bit.The function UTIL_LCD_Clear() works fine (except of weired pixels on the top (line1 or 2)) but the text and the line are not shown. And if I take the function UTIL_LCD_Clear() out, the text and the line are shown but the Display background looks weird with weired pixels. (see images)   So why the text and the horizontal line are not showing after filling the screen with UTIL_LCD_Clear()?(Nevermind about the horizontal line now. It had another color, that I could see. But now because I've already made the picture

hi ,i gone through usb pcb guidelines and other forum discussion but i couldn't catch my doubt .1). Incase of Using USB Virtual Com Port D+ (PA12) & D - (PA11) pin can be directly connect with Computer USB port  without level shifter ??? During the  communication Device Class selection exactly D+ & D- is open drain or  ???----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2.)Incase of using USB_OTG_FS in Host Only Mode   PA9 - connected to Vbus - 5V  and D+ (PA12) & D - (PA11) pin - Pendrive or Keyboard .Looks  PA9 is 5volt tolerant pin in stm32f722ze nucleo board so it's safe to keep 5v or it can be reduced to 3.3v with separate voltage divider ??? same time  keyboard supply voltage will remain as 5v only . if the Vbus sense PA9 turned to 3.3v sensing then it will affect the D+ & D- signal ???  and additionally logic

I'm using the Nucleo-C031C6 board, and I chose this (NUCLEO-C031C6) from the board selector when starting the IDE. (STM32CubeIDE v1.15). I tried switching Timebase Source (in SYS menu) from SysTick to TIM16, then when I compiled, I got this error:../Core/Inc/stm32c0xx_hal_conf.h:237:11: fatal error: stm32c0xx_hal_tim.h: No such file or directoryIt is just a bare project with no user code added.I had to switch from SysTick to TIM16 because I was trying out ThreadX.

Hi, I am working on a motor control project that need to generate 3 sine waves with 120 degree phase shift to power a 3-phase AC motor. The target MCU is an STM32G483VET6 with 100 pins, and I though that for the first step  to generate 3 PWM with phase shift shouldn't be a problem with this MCU, but it is :) Ok, so as stated in the reference manual, there are TIMx internal trigger connections, which I thought can be used for chaining 3 timers: TIM1, TIM8, TIM20 because they can generate complementary outputs as well: According to Table 252, I should have easily set this up with MX. I started to process this table, TIM1 is the first timer which can trigger TIM8 through ITR0, and TIM8 can trigger TIM20 through ITR5.  TIM1 setup:- Channel 1 -> PWM Generation CH1 CH1N- Channel 2 -> Output Compare No Output- Counter Settings:   - Prescaler: 47 (Because I am using 48MHz clock from HSI)   - Counter Period: 9999 (100 Hz, nothing fancy)- T

HiI'm trying to understand how to configure the hal/peripheral to evaluate the CRC32 MPEG2 over a block of datas.I'm comparing the result with this site where as input I've used the vector 0x01, 0x01. Expected result is 0xD66FB816https://crccalc.com/?crc=0x01,0x01&method=crc32&datatype=hex&outtype=0  I've configured the hal in the following wayhcrc.Instance = CRC;hcrc.Init.DefaultPolynomialUse = DEFAULT_POLYNOMIAL_DISABLE;hcrc.Init.GeneratingPolynomial = 0x04C11DB7;hcrc.Init.DefaultInitValueUse = DEFAULT_INIT_VALUE_DISABLE;hcrc.Init.InitValue = 0xFFFFFFFF;hcrc.Init.CRCLength=CRC_POLYLENGTH_32B;hcrc.Init.InputDataInversionMode = CRC_INPUTDATA_INVERSION_NONE;hcrc.Init.OutputDataInversionMode = CRC_OUTPUTDATA_INVERSION_DISABLE;hcrc.InputDataFormat = CRC_INPUTDATA_FORMAT_BYTES; NOTE that poly and init value that I've set are equal to the default values but I get this result0xeec8fd24 Does someone has an idea how to configure this peripheral to get

I tried to show text via textArea, i put some string into translation field, i see the string in designer but when i ran it the text is not present. I tried similar thing with digital clock with same result. I tried define own typographies with or without wildccards and non generated texts but all with the same result. I tried it on real hardware, other things like images and buttons are visible but the text in textArea not. Should i call some method for rest of init textArea?

Hello,Sorry if i'm asking a dumb question or if someone already ask it, but I have some problem pinging my NUCLEO-H723ZG using Ethernet and lwIP without FreeRTOS.I already tried the tutorial to create a project with Ethernet and lwIP step by step , it didn't turn out well (I have some question about this tutorial on memory layout of the DMA Descriptors) and I couldn't ping over the MCU.I also tried the github example provided on the same article and more precisely I tried the STM32H723_Nucleo_ETH example. It worked very well, but it use FreeRTOS which I do not want to use for now.I tried to create a project from the .IOC of STM32H723_Nucleo_ETH example, I modified it to disable FreeRTOS and disable ETH global interruption. It didn't work (I still couldn't ping over the MCU).So I have multiple questions :Does lwIP must be used with FreeRTOS on the MCU of the H7 series or other kind of RTOS ? (I already use lwIP without a RTOS on a NUCLEO-F429ZI and I didn't have any issue with it).On th

Looking at the FDCAN peripheral application note (AN5348), I don't see any mention of using the DMA. I'm interested in transmitting 30 8-byte messages every second via Classic-Can 2.0.   Since the peripheral's FIFO isn't that deep, I was thinking of either using the TX FIFO empty interrupt to trigger more pushing, OR (preferably)..have the DMA push the data to the FDCAN peripheral automatically without CPU intervention. Does the DMA controller support memory to FDCAN, or are there registers that the FDCAN needs configured for every transfer?

Hello All,I would like some clarification as to how I can verify if the internal clock HSI will run based on what external power input is given.I had originally found that running the board on external 3.3 v will not allow the HSI clock to be used, and the clocks would only run if I attached USB power. If I removed USB power from the board after power it briefly the clocks would still run even at 3.3 v external power. From this post https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-boards-and-hardware/problem-with-3-3v-external-power-delivery-to-my-board/m-p/88516/highlight/true#M14341 I understand that the ST-link needs to be able on some nucleo board to run the HSI clock. From the NUCLEO-L031K6 board documentation I found this table:this shows that using a 5 v in will not run the ST Link, however reading further the following section is talked about:The section doesn't include "running clocks", but I am not sure if the document would explicitly include "running clocks" since it might be an

The file stm32f4xx_hal_def.h refers to stm32f4xx.h I can find this file in several Github repositories, but which is the official source for this file ?

Hello All, I Hope you are well.I am facing a problem that I spent A LOT of time on. I designed a custom board featuring the STM32F405RGT6 but i cannot connect to it at all.. I will attach the schematic and the board's pictures below. (The schematic is a PDF where I attached the sheet of the MCU's circuitry only there are other sheets for other parts of the board) Things to mention:1- I've assembled the board myself (But i checked the connectivity and voltages on the necessary nodes by a multimeter and i tested on the chip's pins not on the PCB pads and got the following:-VDD on all VDD pins are 3.31V (measured directly on the pins)-VDDA is also supplied by the same source with around 3.31V (measured directly on the pins)-Vcap1 and Vcap2 are both 1.26V (measured on the the two Caps of 2u2 value)-Reset Pin is 3.31V)2- I got suspicious about the SWD pinout that i did so i used an adapter and a Nucleo board's ST-Link to connect to my board where I measured the resistance between the S

I am having issues using sprintf in an application on a STM32H743 using Azure RTOS.  The function works correctly the first time it is used to convert a float to a string but after the first use, it inserts garbage characters where the decimal point should be while the digits are as expected.  The garbage characters continue to show up on subsequent calls to the routine where the sprintf is used and show up in other routines that use sprintf.  The garbage characters are always the same and only appear for float values that have digits to the right of the decimal point.  An example is when printing the conversion for the internal battery measurement which comes out as ...MCU Bat : 3.15 V on the first pass, then comes out as ...MCU Bat : 3"KOq@=xZ15 V on the second pass.  It is repeatable.  The format string is ...MCU Bat : %.2f V\r.  Changing the format string does not seem to effect the result.I have gone over numerous posts regarding s

Hi, I have an application where I need to send send signals to 8 stepper drivers on my STM32F407 Discovery board. Each stepper driver requires an independent PULSE, DIRECTION, and SLEEP signal. DIRECTION and SLEEP are trivial GPIOs high/low. I have used timers in the past to drive the PULSE pins for these stepper drivers with success.I am wondering if I can control all 8 independent PULSE pins with a single board. There are 8 timers on the STM32F4 . TIM2, TIM5 TIM9 and TIM14 are General-purpose timers and TIM1 and TIM8 are Advanced-control timers. I am confident I can drive 6 independent PULSE signals with these 6 timers. TIM6 and TIM7 are basic timers without input/output functionality. Is there is a way to drive two other pins with the basic timers 6 and 7 or is there another way to get up to 8 independent PULSE signals?

I am learning stm32f407ve, And I am facing problem in building the project.GPIO_Init( ) and GPIO_ReadFromInputPin( ) both functions are defined in the same files and declared in same files but when i build the project . I get Error for GPIO_ReadFromInputPin( ) and not for GPIO_Init( ) , how is this possible ?

Hello,I am using a STM32MP157C development board from Myirtech and trying to interface the board with a CAN device.I am able to bring up the can0 interface. It can send data, I can see it from oscilloscope over Can Hi and Lo pins. I have tried create a USB Composite Device(CDC+MSC+HID) using STM32_USB_Device_Library V1.2.1, CDC and MSC works but HID not workable. When I use USBD_HID_SendReport() to send data to PC, MCU stuck.I have change the sequence of CDC/MSC/HID Interface/endpoint order, it seems that the last one not workable.MCU: STM32F429#define CDC_INTERFACE     0x00#define CDC_INTERFACE2   0x01#define MSC_INTERFACE     0x02#define HID_INTERFACE     0x03#define CDC_IN_EP           0x81 /* EP1 for data IN */#define CDC_OUT_EP           0x01 /* EP1 for data OUT */#define CDC_CMD_EP          0x84 /* EP2 for CDC commands */#define MSC_IN_EP           0x82#define MSC_OUT_EP        &nbs

I have timer 1 to use with hall sensors as interfacing timer. Timer 8 is then used to output the signals (see picture red and blue). The simulated hallsignal (3 sensors combined) is very precise and pretty constant (green signal - second box)."A" shows the interrupt test signal from the input interrupt. "B" is the interrupt from CCR2 of timer 1 that does actually nothing, but shows where the output signals should change. The first box shows the interval between those 2 high levels of the outputs of timer 8.The delay from A to B is set to be constant. I have already came across the problem of resetting the counter and prescaler of timer 1, so that is not an issue anymore. What else would there be, that would cause such a fluctuation? Interrupts should not be critical, as the stuff is happening in the background? My loop() is empty.Timer 1: /** * Timer for hallsensors (Rotor speed for FOC later) * Delayed execution of interrupt comes from filter!!! */ void initHallTim1AndDriverTim8()

I am using ST72F264G2 controller & flashing the code using Raisonance R-Link debugger through STVP tool. I want the "CSS" bit of option bytes to be disabled, but there is no such bit to configure in the GUI of the STVP tool. I tried various methods as given below: Tried configuring the option bytes through the "option.s" file, but the values are not getting reflected in the binary file as set in the "option.s" file i.e. I want the value as Option Byte 0 = 0x40 & Option Byte 1 = 0x04 but the value reflected is Option Byte 0 = 0xF4 & Option Byte 1 = 0xD0. So, I changed the values of the respective addresses in binary file as required (Option Byte 0 = 0x40 & Option Byte 1 = 0x04) & flashed that file. Now the option bytes value is getting reflected in "OPTION BYTES" GUI of STVP tool as required, but it shows "CSS" bit as enabled (i.e. Option Byte 1 = 0x44 instead of 0x04).   I also tried writing the option bytes through the programmer in STVD IDE but facing s

Hello,I'm working on an application that uses the NUCLEO-WL55JC development board. I was looking in the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example code, and I noticed a macro called SX_FREQ_TO_CHANNEL. To use this macro, it seems you input the carrier wave frequency you want to transmit at, and it converts it to the value you pass as an array of 8-bit numbers to HAL_SUBGHZ_ExecSetCmd(&hsubghz, RADIO_SET_RFFREQUENCY, array, arr_len).So if I want to transmit at 868 MHz, I give that value to SX_FREQ_TO_CHANNEL, which outputs 910,163,968. But why is SX_FREQ_TO_CHANNEL needed at all? Why can't I pass 868,000,000 directly in the RADIO_SET_RFFREQUENCY packet?I think it has something to do with the RF-PLL frequency, but I don't understand. Can someone help explain why RADIO_SET_RFFREQUENCY doesn't actually set RF-PLL to frequency included in the packet? Thanks in advance.

Hi Community, I’m working with FreeRTOS on my project, and I’m curious if there’s a way to graphically visualize FreeRTOS tasks in CubeIDE. Is there a tool or technique that allows us to see task periods, interrupts, and events over time? :thinking_face:I have a logic Analyzer but I don't know if it can help?

RM0444 (Rev. 5 Nov 2020 - should be newest): Chapter 15.8 Oversampler: "N is defined using the OVFS[2:0] bits": this should say "OVSR[2:0]" bits. Chapter 15.12.3: Register ADC_CR Note for AD_EN: "set ADEN only when all bits of ADC_CR registers are 0" should better say: "set ADEN only when all bits of ADC_CR register except ADVREGEN are 0" Chapter 15.12.5: Register ADC_CFGR2 A warning hint/Note for OVSR[2:0] would be nice, e. g. : Note: ADC_DR truncates to 16bit (set OVSS to 1-4 shifts for OVSR values 4..7 (32x...256x)).

Hello, I want to use the HSE of the NUCLEO-H743ZI2 development board. I tried to set it up according to the instructions in the user manual using MCO from STLINK-V3E.Here's my setup:However, when I checked STLinkUpgrade, I found that the HSE is set to 8.33MHz. In the clock configuration, should I set the input frequency of HSE to 8Hz or 8.33MHz?Thank you very much for your guidance.

Hi !   I read the datasheet, and it says: "The receive chain comprises a differential low-noise amplifier (LNA), a down-converter tolow-IF by mixer operation in quadrature configuration". 1. What is the GAIN and the NF of the diff. LNA ?       1.a Is it also the NF of the LORA ? 2. Can I add another amplifier (LNA) at the input ? Thanks, Kosta
