Hi,I'm using STM32G432RB Nucleo board with X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1, and connecting a 3-phase DCBL motor (RaceStart BR2205, which requests 7.4V - 14.8V).Followed with the instructions in UM2415. I used a power supply with 12V/2A on X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1.D1 EN/FAULT LED is always red, and D8/9/10, Motor Phase LEDs are never turned On, before or after I pressed the Blue Button (Start/Stop Motor) (on STM32G432RB Nucleo board). Here is how I generated the code:MC Workbench 6.3.0, FOC/3 ShuntSTM32CubeMX 6.10.0, STM32Cube FW_G4 V1.5.2MDK-ARM V5.32No error in each of these steps of the project and the code generation. When I pressed the Blue Button (Start Motor) (on STM32G432RB Nucleo board), I saw PC13 (Start/Stop pin) generated a pulse.Am I missing anything in the setup?

Hello everyone,I am working on a custom board equipped with the STM32G0B1RE microcontroller. I did not design this board, but it has the following characteristics: - the microcontroller is powered at 1.8V, - the USB pins are enabled with the following configuration: And the USB device mode and configuration: On the hardware level, the board does not have any ESD protection, but the USB data lines go directly into the microcontroller, according to the following schematic:I tried connecting the board to the PC to send data via USB and simply used these two lines of code found online:#include "usb_device.h"#include "usbd_cdc_if.h"....char *data = "USB CDC\n";...int main(void){...MX_USB_Device_Init();...while(1) {CDC_Transmit_FS(data, strlen(data));HAL_Delay (1000);}}However, the communication does not work, and the PC always says "USB device not recognized."How can I get this to work?PS: unfortunately, the board does not have an HSE but only an HSI. Here is the USB clock tree:Th

I kept coming back to this website to download the STM32 Cube IDE and the servers would always be down once I tried to log in and download it.I've noticed some forums from 2019 mentioning similar problems with how slow the website is responding, so it's great to see that this website is still suffering from network maintenance and bad optimization...Seriously, what is wrong with this website ?? literally had to wait a few days to download the IDE, and now I'm trying to download the STM32CubeMX and this website still pends forever... I can click on buttons and functionalities, but this slow website is always unresponsive when it comes to downloading stuff

Hello,I am currently in the process of writing EEPROM emulation for stm32h743. The library works mostly correctly but due to unfortunate timing of downloading file through IDE flash is not properly initialized effectively making one of the sectors invalid to use. If I use stm32CubeProgrammer and attach to running device everything works as expected. The sector memory (0x81E0000), looks like on the screenshot below, and the amount of rows filled with zeros depends on VOLTAGE_RANGE (more info later):the function is initialized just after configuring all peripherials (eeh_Init():(LED diode was used for troubleshooting process. It lights up for about 400ms, if eeh_Init() is allowed to finish. But when I start the debug session with binary file to download it lights up for way shorter time. The amount of zeros depends on the VOLTAGE_RANGE mentioned before, used for erasing data:My guess is that downloading binary file to microcontroller when using ide makes the code run for some amount of time

Hi ST,Currently, I'm testing the BDMA on SPI6 with the STM32H753. The SPI transmission works as expected when using the base flash address at 0x08000000. I need to place the application code at address 0x08100200. However, when I change the vector table offset and linker flash address to 0x08100200, the system enters an infinite loop whenever I transmit the buffer using BDMA SPI6Please follow the test cases below for more details:Procedure:Create the STM32H753VITx project.Change the vector offset and linker flash address to 0x08100200:   - Vector table offset and linker file settings:- linker flash address:3. Specify the memory region SRAM_4 for the transmission buffer in the linker file. .dma_buffer : /* Space before ':' is critical */ { *(.dma_buffer) } >RAM_D3 4. In the main.c uint8_t buff[256] __attribute__((section(".dma_buffer")));int main(void){....  HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&hspi6, buff, sizeof(buff));  uint32_t timeout = 200000;&nbsp

Hello,I am working with the LSM6DSV16X IMU sensor and interfacing it using SPI mode 3 on an STM32 microcontroller(STM32F446RE) with STM32CubeIDE. My SPI configuration is set with CPOL = High and CPHA = 2nd edge, and I have set the baud rate prescaler to 4, resulting in a baud rate of 10 MBits/s.Before reading the WHO_AM_I register, I configure certain registers as follows:if (spi_write_register(CTRL3_REG, 0x45) != SUCCESS) return ERROR;if (spi_write_register(FUNC_CFG_ACCESS_REG, 0x00) != SUCCESS) return ERROR;However, when I attempt to read the WHO_AM_I register, I consistently receive 0x80 instead of the expected 0x70.Here is a summary of my setup and the issue:SPI mode: Mode 3 (CPOL = High, CPHA = 2nd edge)Baud rate: 10 MBits/s (prescaler = 4)Initial register configurations:CTRL3_REG = 0x05FUNC_CFG_ACCESS_REG = 0x00Could anyone suggest potential reasons for this discrepancy or any troubleshooting steps I should take?Thank you!

Hello team,I’m working with an STM32H745iik6/ Nucleo-H745ziq microcontroller and currently using USB DFU mode to upload firmware. The process involves setting BOOT0 to 1 and performing a manual reset to enter DFU mode. After uploading the new firmware, I manually set BOOT0 back to 0 and reset the board again to run the user application.otherwise any ST software like stm32cubepgm to select DFU mode or user_apllication mode?Current Approach:Enter DFU Mode:Set BOOT0 to 1.Perform a manual reset.Upload Firmware via USB DFU.Run User Application:Set BOOT0 to 0.Perform another manual reset.Goal:I want to automate this process entirely through software without the need for physical interaction. Specifically, I’m looking for a way to:Switch to DFU mode using software.Upload new firmware.Automatically return to the user application after the firmware upload. Is it possible to switch between DFU mode and the user application purely through software on STM32 microcontrollers? If so, can someone provi

Hi,   I usb buildroot(branch: st/2023.02.2) to buid my system.I want to know how to configure  to enable secure boot.if i just enable TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT=1MBEDTLS_DIR=$(MBEDTLS_DIR)then compile error as follow make[2]: *** No rule to make target '/home/gary/test/stm32mp15/buildroot/output/build/mbedtls-2.28.2/library/aes.c', needed by '/home/gary/test/stm32mp15/buildroot/output/build/arm-trusted-firmware-hgs_test/build/stm32mp1/release/libmbedtls/aes.o'. I use NUCLEO-F722ZE and STM32CubeIDE.When I set SDMMC1 to SD 4bits wide bus, the RCC shows a warning “partly disabled conflict with : SDMMC1 : SD 4bits wide bus”. At this time, when I wrote a program on the board and operated it, “FR_DISK_ERR” occurred. Is the error caused by RCC warning?

I'm working on the STM32WL55 Nucleo-64, starting from the LoRaWAN_End_Node.I performed a hexdump and noticed that the ELF file generated at the end of the compilation process contains a significant recurrence of absolute paths, as shown in the picture below. I tried using the menu "Properties->Path and Symbols->Includes" to include all the paths through the workspace to avoid the absolute paths.  What did I do wrong? How can I generate an ELF file containing only relative paths?Thank you in advance.

Hi, I want to implement Free RTOS on SWTM32U575. When I am trying to configure it in the middleware but there is no options to enable Free RTOS. Is there a way to way to enable it ?

A write of size 294KB to STM32H7A3VGHx Internal Flash works, but a write of size 775KB does NOTBTW, same issue with STM32CubeProgrammer v2.16.0

Processor: STM32H753I am attempting to continuously read an ADC, and transfer the data into a circular data buffer with the ADC. I configured everything in CubeMX. No matter what I try, I get a transfer error from the DMA the first time it reads. I tried  both DMA1 and DMA2 with different streams thinking maybe there is a limitation on which stream I can use to read ADC2. I extracted the configuration code for testing and example purposes, which gets run at startup.Init(): // void MX_ADC2_Init(void) hadc2.Instance = ADC2; hadc2.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV256; // ADC clock = 62.5 MHz / 256 = 244 kHz hadc2.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc2.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DISABLE; hadc2.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc2.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; hadc2.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; // Enable continuous conversion mode hadc2.Init.NbrOfConversion = 1; hadc2.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc2.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFT

Hello,I get this compilation warning: The float formatting support is not enabled, check your MCU Settings from "Project Properties > C/C++ Build > Settings > Tool Settings", or add manually "-u _printf_float" in linker flags. The stated "recipe" to fix the issue does not work because there is no "linker flags" edit box in the mentionned dialog.Hence, what is the way to add linker flags in the IDE version I'm using, 1.15.1 ?Many thanks!

Hi, I am using a STM32WB15 board for BLE applications. I understand I need to download the correct FUS before I can ask the board for running any programme. However, I find when using UART to connect the board I cannot running the FUS as well as wireless stack after they are downloaded. I tried set boot0 from 1 to 0 it seems not work. Do anyone know how could I make sure the FUS running when UART connection is used (unfortunately my board is not reserve other links e.g. J-Tag or SWD).

Heyho, any PTP specialists around here?I'm currently working with a new board using the H733 with a KSZ8863RLL ethernet PHY, and I have a strange PTP synchronization problem:If a board with a KSZ8863 is the PTP master, no slave can synchronize. The slave's filtered "offset from master" is always increasing, whereas when sync is working this value is getting closer to 0.As soon as the master is one of my other boards using a LAN8742 PHY (H735, H723, F767), all boards sync perfectly.I have checked and compared the PTP messages from the master in Wireshark, and I can see no difference between the masters' messages. The thing is that this is hard to debug on that level, as we're talking about timings < 100µs.I have checked all clocks, settings, played with the filters and the servo, no chance. What could be the difference between the PHYs which affects the PTP master output? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a NUCLEO-H7S3L8 and I think there is an addresses mistake in the .svd files and potentially other hardware description files. You can reproduce and see the mistake if you setup the SAI1_A and SAI1_B on CubeMX, generate the code and debug the program, you will see in the SFR widget of STM32CubeIDE (the .svd file) that it's the SAI2 registers configured instead. It also affects the CubeMX configuration of SAI, we can't set SAI1_A on Master and SAI1_B on Slave synchronous which is very annoying (image below). I'm not sure if it's the right place to report this, but I would really appreciate if you follow this issue on the right ST team.Thanks.

Hi, I am working on STM32F1 family and implementing LIN communication. I found the function HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA() that is very useful to handle variable incoming data. But I have a problem that this function only works first time, but not calling HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(), I need to get data in USART1_IRQHandler() function. The reason is because the flag of Frame Error is arrising and stops the receive DMA process. The intersting is that the received data is correct, for all different RX size. I review all init and functions according to the examples and forum, and it seems ok.  Could it be because the link break detection? My RX buffer always show zero as the first byte, so it compute the break as first data.byte[0] = break;byte[1] = sync;byte[2] = PID... DMA init static void MX_DMA_Init(void) { /* DMA controller clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_DMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); /* DMA interrupt init */ /* DMA1_Channel5_IRQn interrupt configura

I'm simply trying to do:res = f_open(&fil, "file.txt", FA_CREATE_ALWAYS | FA_WRITE);but nothing is created despite the return message. Could it be my SD card? I'm able to read from it in 4B mode.Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hi, for my STM32CubeIDE projects it would be convenient to have a macro whose value increases every time I compile the project; As if it were a counter of the times I pressed the build button, to be used as an ID to identify the specific build. For example, in my code I would like to put a printf at the beginning that prints this number to understand which build the executable being executed belongs to.On other IDEs there is a way to make a kind of pre-build script that is executed before compiling the project, the question is: is it possible to write a pre-build script also in STM32CubeIDE? If yes, how? In what programming language? Can I read and write C-MACROs from these scripts? Thanks in advance

I'm using SPC58 DISP Board for RTR request data frame from a battery pack. I have set the RTR value as 1, but didn't receive any reponse data frame from the battery. I have tested with CAN analyser, reponse data frame is coming(working fine). When I looked into the code, I didn't see any RTR register loading with the value. So, if anyone worked on RTR frame request. Kindly guide me.Transmit data frame with RTR as 1.

I have successfully got data going to Azure IoT hub, but now need to connect it to Azure IoT Central instead. I've not managed to get it to connect successfully though... This is the device settings, which are in the azure_iot config.h file, but I've been messing with it for a couple of days and can't tell if the problem is with some IoTCentral setting, or something in the firmware config... Anyone else had success with this board?  Most of the examples are for the other U5 board which I don't have.

Are there any STM32F413ZH breakout boards?

Hello,I had a use case to add dynamic bitmaps in a project I joined, and I followed the documentation to make them work.https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/touchgfx-engine-features/dynamic-bitmaps Surprisingly, I realized that the addresses of dynamic bitmaps are not as I would expect them. The code I added that called Bitmap::setCache seems to be ignored.I dug into project internals and found that there is a call to registerBitmapDatabase during initialization, with cache parameter supplied, but there is not a lot about that function in the docs. Does this explain why my `setCache` was ignored?

Can variable values be stored in some fixed addresses of internal flash and retrieved from them after reset? is there any example for same.
