E.g. the FatFs_USBDisk sample does not have a *.ioc file.Maybe not all example projects use STM32CubeMX?(the issue sounds like https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/creating-stm32cubmx-ioc-project-for-older-stm32cube-firmware/ta-p/49664)How can I enable the view "Device Configuration Tool" for that example project?Or: what's the best way to see the Mikrocontroller resources used by that project?Reason for asking:I can't add support for serial console (including DMA) to FatFs_USBDisk from a reference project. There seems to be a clashing of using the resources.

I'm using an area of Flash in an STM32U5 to store some information that I need to retrieve connecting the board to the SWD port. Data is sent out using the ITM port. All is working as expected connecting the board using the STM32 Cube Programmer, allowing to save data to a file. The CPU can be run and halted.By setting RDP1 this is not possible anymore. Once the board is connected the CPU is locked and I found no way to run the firmware. I suspect this is the normal behaviour to protect access to the Flash, is this correct? I couldn't find specific information on the manuals. Or is there a sequence to have the firmware run when connected to the programmer?I also expect that there's no way to exclude an are of flash from being protected by RDP.

Hi all, when running the same piece of code (math operations with random access to RAM) on the CM4 of the STM32G474 we measure smaller execution times than on the CM4 core of the STM32H745.The STM32G474 is clocked at 168 MHz and uses the SRAM mapped at 0x20000000.The CM4 of the STM32H745 is clocked at 200 MHz (and its CM7 at 400 MHz) and uses AHB SRAM1 mapped at address 0x30000000. How is it possible that the slower clocked CM4 core of the STM32G474 is more performant? Any explanations? Thanks, Marco Accame, Ph.D.iCub Tech Facility, Istituto Italiano di TecnologiaCRIS, via S.Quirico 19D, 16163 Genoa Italye-mail: marco.accame@iit.it

Not sure why my previous post was marked as spam:Hello,I'm trying to do something relatively simple but can't figure out the issue. It might also be possible that there is no issue and my expectations are wrong about timer synchronization. I am using TIM1 as a master with trigger out event configured when the timer is enabled. Enabling timer1 should start TIM2 and TIM15 (both configured as slave with appropriate ITR0 triggers). Just for debugging and simplicity all the timers are using the same prescaler and the same period (ARR register value is the same). The timer do start when I enable timer1 as expected. But they are not synchronized. Below are registers dump for tim1, tim2 and tim15 just before setting TIM1.CR1  enable bit. Once I set the enable bit I get the logic analyzer capture shown.I mean it works in the sense that enabling TIM1 triggers TIM2 and TIM15 but why aren't they synchronized? Here is the code. I am using HAL for simplicity but I did try dir

Finally after a long struggle, I was able to get into the system memory by changing to CP2102 ttl wire. Now I have another problem. Any solution to fix this? The PCROP_PDP bit is unchecked also.

Hi there,  I am using multiple VL53L4CX sensors and the target is a person's hand within a 60cm range. I am wondering if there is a specific calibration method for a hand within a shorter range (60cm), to improve readings. Right now I am just using the default settings and using the STM32H755zi Any help is appreciated, thanks.  Isaac

Setup STM32WL55JC1 embedded on a custom PCB with other peripherals STM32CubeIDE Lora gateway - Multitech MTCDT3AC model with a built-in network server, join server, packet forwarder and gateway. STM32CubeWL f/w version 1.3.0 Application hangs because MBMUXIF_LoraSendCmd() command stuck on Sem_MbLoRaRespRcv sometimes I have an application built around LoRaWAN_End_Node_DualCoreFreeRTOS example provided in the firmware. My application on CM4 sends telemetry roughly every 4-5 minutes. It will run well for a few days and suddenly the MBMUXIF_LoraSendCmd() gets stuck waiting on Sem_MbLoRaRespRcv. Reading more on how dual-core system works I figured that if a response is not received through the IPCC channels, the semaphore is never released. This is a potential pitfall for me because my application requires telemetry to be sent continuously at the 4/5 minute rate. I cannot think of reasons why a Resp might not have been received by the CM4 core for any telemetry send Cmd. How to reproduce

Hello everyone, I want to measure the current consumption on a STM32WB5MMDK discovery board. I've found that I had to put an ammetre on the jumper JP1, and I programmed the RGB LED to be working. However, when I put the ammetre and I power my board, I found that the current is null, and I can't find why, even if I checked the schematics and the datasheets. I was supposed to have something around 100 mA normally.Does anyone know the reason of my problem ?   Thank you Nour

Hello all, I have not been able to get the DFSDM_AudioRecord example to work on STM32H735G-DK.I am using CubeFW v1.11.2 and Cube MX 6.11.1. Furthermore, I tried debugging and noticed that the DMA Callbacks for Half and Full complete are called. Then I checked the buffers to notice that the values in it were always, 32768. The example BSP, also does not playback any recorded audio (through MEMS loopback), but is able to play the stored audio. So, the Line-Out is working fine. It has to be the MEMS.  I wanted to confirm if the examples are configured correctly, or if something on my board is faulty. Can someone from ST or User Community please confirm that this example is working?

Hello community,I’m encountering a challenging issue with my STM32 setup that I’m hoping to get some insights on. When I mount my microcontroller onto another PCB and connect it via USB, the board overheats near the USB connection and the LD3 (power LED) does not light up. I only soldered the 3V3, 5V, and GND pins on this secondary board, where 3V3 and 5V are used to power peripherals. Here are the symptoms:When connected to a PC via USB, the area near the USB connection on the extension board becomes very hot.The power LED (LD3) on the microcontroller does not turn on.Removing the extension board and powering the microcontroller directly via PC resolves the issue, and everything functions normally. My initial guess is that there might be a power supply issue or a short circuit involving the 3V3 and 5V pins used to power peripherals, possibly causing insufficient power delivery or overheating due to improper load handling.Could anyone provide guidance on how to properly manage power dist

HelloI tried to implement I2S on the chip in question to send the data acquired by the on-board ADC (I tried both 8-bit and 12-bit) with DMA active on a curved buffer and half-word data size. The data should be read by an ESP32, connected to it on the ws, bclk and din lines configured as I2S Master that provides the clock and the ws and that should momentarily only print the received data on the serial monitor. However, despite having set the I2S channel of the STM32 to 8Khz 16 bit only right with Philips standard, equating it to that of the ESP32, I do not get the expected data, I can print only zeros or numbers that apparently are not synchronous data. I also tried to transmit static arrays with predefined values instead of the ADC to have a clear feedback on the receiving end but nothing. I wonder if the STM32G431KB core is the right board to do these tests or should I look at another model?     /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ***************************

In ST Edge AI Developer Cloud I generated the C library of a ST_LSM6DSO16IS_ispu_wand_dataset with platform selected as ISPU. I got many library files in which the major APIs are in the network.h and its c file. I need an API manual or documentation to apply this in tho my program or an example of implementation is enough.

I have 2 different projects, different folders, different *.ioc files (project1 and project2)But one of them is related to other one. When I open the project1, the project2 is opens automatically. After that when I closed the project1, the project2 can remain open (I can close manually). If I close the project2 while project1 is open, then project2 automatically opens itself again. What is the relation beween them I did not resolve it. I have many other proejcts on the "Project Explorer window", there is no problem with themI am using the latest versionVersion: 1.16.0Build: 21983_20240628_1741 (UTC)RegardsMurat

Hello,Are there any resources similar to AN3364, that describe the migration directly from F4 to F0?Thanks.

@Erwan SZYMANSKIHello, I am having trouble with another topic . I was learning how to modify my distribution packet . I started with learning how to change backlight of my daughter board (ım using stm32mp157f-dk2). As I was trying to learn I make a patch to change default-brightness-level = <10>; ; panel_backlight: panel-backlight { compatible = "gpio-backlight"; gpios = <&gpiod 13 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; default-on; default-brightness-level = <1>; status = "okay"; }; in the arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp157f-ev1.dts file  (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/linux/blob/v6.1-stm32mp/arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp157f-ev1.dts ). With that I learned how to do patch and recipes.bb and .bbappend files but ı didn't do them applicable for my target design cause I couldn't find the target node about light. How can ı found it?  I looked at all the dts files with my file name but couldn't see it.

Once the IDE is installed, is connection to the internet required while using it ? Thanks

Hi!I'm a new STM32 user.  I acquired a Nucleo-144 board today and noticed that there are no pins in CN11 & CN12.  Just curious why. Thanks in advance.

Hello,I am using the STM32WL55 with the BLUENRG-2N.i need to add the Firmware update OTA capability using the Bluetooth (BLUENRG-2N)the examples of FUOTA for STM32WL are based on LoraWAN protocol ... so it is not what i looking for.Do you have any examples or documentation (application note or ...) that can help me to make my application ?Thank you,Sincerely.

I am trying to change the system clock on my STM32F410RB using register programming. I have setup an SPI protocol to an external DAC IC which needs a minimum of 100ns (10MHz) clock period. The SPI allows for a maximum of 8MHz (fPCLK/2) at default clock settings.I cooked up a little code but it doesn't seem to work as expected. When I probe the SCK, all I get is a constant DC type plot or a noisy output. Here is the code: void set_new_system_clock(void) { RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<22); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<0); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<1); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<2); RCC->PLLCFGR |= (1U<<3); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<4); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<5); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<6); RCC->PLLCFGR |= (1U<<7); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<8); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<9); RCC->PLLCFGR |= (1U<<10); RCC->PLLCFGR |= (1U<<11); RCC->PLLCFGR &=~(1U<<12);

I want to ask about realise date of STM32MP257F-EV1?Today, I see a local shop sell this board with price 800$. I guess this is contraband board from China and the price too expensive with my expect.

i am using LoRa E5 dev board for programming my code , i am using STM32 stlink debugger with stm32 cube programmer , the board is not connecting my stm32 cube programmer , the serial number is showing 1 but when i am trying to connect it is not connecting and showing  UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode , it is mentioned in the manual like  Erase Factory AT Firmware section first, as if we need to erase the Factory AT Firmware before we program with SDK. After erasing the Factory AT Firmware it CANNOT be recovered.i dont know how to erase and code for the controller .the stm32 page photo is attached below. i need support , please help me.

I have to use the stm32H7b3i-Eval Onboard camera with USB HS capability, though I can get camera visuals directly to the Windows default camera app. I got a similar project on STM GitHub for board stm32h747i-disco on this linkThe details about the Eval board are on this link.can suggest some prepared code links or something like How to do it? How much time does it requires

I want to configure a stm32wb as BLE central and other as BLE peripheral such that they can exchange data. The combination of all this data also needs to be sent to a mobile phone. Can anyone suggest me a MOOC or may be a document that can  be used as a manual to perform this task.
