Problem: ADC reading a battery voltage jump by twice as much when the battery voltage goes from just under 3.55V to anything above (jump is about 1000 in raw adc reading at 12 bits). Background:We have a custom board with STM32G0B1CB on which we are trying to measure the battery voltage.VREF+ pin is tied to VDD which is fed by a DCDC at 3.5VThe battery can go from 2.75 to 4.5V and is fed to channel 1 (PA1) through a 100K : 100K resistor divider giving a max voltage on PA1 of 2.25V. The battery voltage is currently fed from voltage supply that is changed from 2.75V to 4.5V. As mentioned earlier, at around 3.55V the adc reading has a big jump of close to a 1000 raw value at 12 bit which is just baffling. I am trying to get a curve of adc raw value vs. battery voltage and this jump just breaks the pattern.  Here is the zephyr overlay file:&adc1 {    #address-cells = <1>;    #size-cells = <0>;    vref-mv = <3450>;  &nbs

Hi all, on stm32f746 disco, I'm using the Mbed ide but i have the stmcube installed as wellI've been writing a simple updater app that sits at 0x080e0000 with mixed success  switching to a previous project, the code downloads but on running the board appears to run the updater code instead. How can I fix this? I've added an mbed_app.json to both projects with             "target.mbed_app_start": "0x08000000"in it for the main app and 0x080e0000 in the updater I'm unable to get my main app running again I think the easiest way would be if I can just reset the device to factory?

Does ST have a good default MPU configuration for the STM32H573?  When I start a CubeMX project for the H7 series, it asks if I want to use a default configuration.  But for the H5 it does not.  While I can find forum posts regarding the need to disable iCache or use the MPU to work around hard faults, I have found no examples or suggestions for a default MPU setup for the H5.Also, the settings in CubeMx are different than on the H7 series.  The options are poorly documented and I'm not sure what they mean. Even the ARM documentation fails to explain what the options mean or do.  For example "MPU Device" options are all variations of MPU DEVICE nGnRnE, but the ARM documentation implies there should be a "Normal" option for here.  Also there is no "ALL ACCESS NOT PERMITTED" option for MPU Access Permissions.Anyway, I feel like ST should provide an example or summary for proper MPU setup for all on-chip memory/peripherals.  Where would I find it?I found

I want to send USB HID Reports as fast as the MCU or the USB protocol allows. In order to send an USB HID Report on an STM32F103 I'm doing something like: USBD_HID_SendReport(&hUsbDeviceFS, (u8*)&report,sizeof(report)); HAL_Delay(some_delay); or even: USBD_HID_SendReport(&hUsbDeviceFS, (u8*)&report,sizeof(report)); for(volatile int k=0; k<some_other_delay; ++k) asm volatile("nop"); but it's obviously dicey and suboptimal to "guess" at the correct sleep value (which in my case changes from situation to situation, and also depending on the size of the USB HID Report). What I really want is to do is something like: for(int i=0; i<N; ++i) USBD_HID_SendReport(&hUsbDeviceFS, (u8*)&report,sizeof(report)); and have it just work (which it currently doesn't). I tried modifying USBD_HID_SendReport() from the original:  uint8_t USBD_HID_SendReport(USBD_HandleTypeDef* pdev, uint8_t* report, uint16_t len){ USBD_HID

STM32F765II uses dual bank mode for firmware upgrade, setting nDBANK=0 and nDBOOT=0，BOOT_ADDR0=0x2000(0x08000000), use ST-LINK Utility。In bare core, my code running correctly. update the firmware in bank1 and bank2 all successfully. When add FreeRTOS 10.2.1 use CubeMX, my code failed in prvStartFirstTask function "svc 0" instruction. when I change the nDBOOT to 1, freertos can correctly run.I checked the SVC_Handler in startup_stm32f765xx.s and FreeRTOS's port.c , they are correct. In debug mode, svc 0 cause reset, but the breakpoint in SVC_Handler cann't reach.I was wondering if it was an issue with the interrupt vector table. Referring to the description in AN2606, in dual boot mode, there should be no need to consider the issue with the interrupt vector table. However, my problem looks like a problem with the interrupt. Has anyone encountered this problem before, thanks!

I'm searching for a simple API call such as found on Arduino :theValue = analogRead(port);does such a thing exist?  Hoping for pal_lld_analogReadpad( PORT_x, pinNumber );I find in adc_lld.h there is an array of functions which I am unsure why they exist or how to use them.Is there an example for reading a port configured as ThanksPaul

Hi.Please can someone tell me whether Part No: M24LR04E-RMN6T/2 (RFID Transponder) is able to communicate with MiFare Desfire ?Application will be a custom designed PCB to be used as part of Prepaid payment system   Thanks

Hello everyone,I'm currently working on a project that involves the STM32WL5MOC microcontroller, and I need to implement a firmware update mechanism for it. I have some experience with microcontrollers, but this is my first time handling a firmware update process.Could anyone provide guidance or share resources on how to implement a firmware update for the STM32WL5MOC? Specifically, I am looking for advice on the following:Bootloader Design: How should I design a bootloader that can manage the firmware update process? Any example code or tutorials would be very helpful.Update Methods: What are the common methods for performing firmware updates on this microcontroller? Should I consider using OTA (Over-The-Air) updates, or is a wired connection (e.g., USB or UART) more reliable?Memory Management: How should I handle memory allocation for the new firmware image while ensuring that the current firmware remains functional during the update process?Error Handling: What are the best practice

I cannot enter the bootloader with the BOOT0 pin in the STM32G0C1 while I can with the NUCLEO-G0B1RE.I already checked the option bytes, and tried with nBOOT_SEL = 0 and nBOOT_SEL = 1.In the Nucleo board, it seems this nBOOT_SEL has no effect at all, Nucleo always stays in bootloader if BOOT0 pin is HIGH after reset. In the STM32G0C1, the only way to enter bootloader is when the flash if fully erased. How can I force the bootloader at booting, using the external BOOT0 pin? Also nBOOT_SEL seems to configured to 1 as factory default.

Please help pointing to learning material on this.We can unserstnd that below library was written in proper engineering style so that it can be (a) ported to various STM chips. (b) can select use of POLL, Interrupt and DMA mode by "linking/select" the needed "function definition"1. New to these and we worked for some time and still did not got to understand HOW (a) and (b) is performed in practice.  If skipping the 'proper' way (tons of Macro, define and ifdef), we can read the sensor with two HAL calls.  But we need to learn the proper way :)2. Also, needing to get it right in "project" to link and work together with others code for inside and outside of the STM MCU. Our project is created  using RAW STM chip WITHOUT the Board Support Package, like Nucleo.  So, we need to deffine the hardware ourself (and still did not got it right)3. We are loss in multiple 'INIT' functions that 'need to be called in corect sequence". Some SOFTWARE setup data structure, i2c HANDLE

Good afternoon. I am configuring a NAND memory using FMC on the STM32H7. I am dealing with the following scenario: HCLK = 80 MHz (to match the example in AN4761) and a NAND memory SkyHigh Memory S34ML01G1 Following all the calculations specified in AN4761, I am encountering an error where the last byte fails on some pages. When a read is performed more than once, the byte is corrected, but there is this inconsistency. Where could the error be?

Hello,I'm developing an application based on the above mentioned NUCLEO board and need a CAN connection to control the board. I've done some embedded development, but this is my first time using an STM board, so please forgive my lack of experience.I've configured the CAN module in CubeMX to use a baudrate of 500kbit/s using value from a tutorial. The code uses the HAL library and using the debugger I can see the transmit function return with HAL_OK. But when i connect my oscilloscope to the TX line I only get a short LOW pulse of ~34µs and no actual data. I'm guessing it might be my lack of understanding the proper (clock) configuration but using different threads I'm now out of ideas. I've attached the CubeMX file below. Thanks for your help.

Hello, I have two stm32f411e-disco cards. I want to synchronize the clocks of these cards. In other words, I want the clock of one of them to run synchronously with the clock in the other stm. How can I follow a way. As an example, I can say the following application. For example, when I install parallel code on two stm32s, I want the separate leds on the two stm32s to flash synchronously.

Please help me to find equivalent to this IC AP239

Hello,I am new to STM32 and would appreciate your help in selecting a suitable MCU from the STM32 series for our project. We require the following features:- MCU with Wi-Fi, BLE, and GSM capabilities.- GSM integration via UART, with library support for point-to-point communication to transmit sensor data to the cloud via MQTT and facilitate OTA updates through HTTPS.- Wi-Fi capability for transmitting sensor data and conducting OTA updates via MQTT and HTTPS.- BLE functionality is used to configure Wi-Fi and MQTT parameters.- Support for various sensor interfaces: I2C, SPI, SDIO, UART, and ADC.We currently use an ESP32 but need to transition to the STM32 platform. Could you recommend an appropriate MCU from the STM32 series that meets these specifications?Additionally, I believe GSM PPP integration should be feasible with an MCU that has Ethernet support (through LWIP middleware). Is this correct? Will I also be able to perform OTA updates using the LWIP_HTTP functionality of that

hello, could you please tell me where the default jumper wires be placed on the board h743zi2. quick response is much appreciated as i am in a hurry with the deadline. pictures of the board are much needed while answering.

I was trying to reconfigure and customize the HMI given by HSDATALOG2 interface , i have been looking into utilities/HSDPython_SDK/examples ; utilities/HSDPython_SDK/st_dtdl_gui but i can't see how i can manage the controll over the widgets colours and texts . i' ve consulted the scripts written in python , JSON files but nothing changes while executing the main . is there a file that contains all the widgets , how may i make my own changements.       @SimonePradolini @Federica Bossi

Hi, I have been trying to follow the provided documentation for getting started with the Smartag1, but I am having trouble building it without errors. I have attached the files I have been trying to follow. I have been importing the project using this path: "...\STM32CubeFunctionPack_SMARTAG1_V3.2.0\Projects\STM32L031K6-SmarTag1\Examples\SmarTag1" which gives me invalid project path errors for the #includes in the main.c file. This is my project explorer:I have tried to edit the project paths such that the missing files are found but I then received the following: Could someone please explain what I have done incorrectly?

good morning, I began today on a nucleo 144 and so discovered the double core.so I wanted to make each core work independently, and used a led blinking code. unfortunately, it only works on core M7 and not on core M4. I do not know why, maybe I misunderstood the fact that we have 2 cores.

Hi, When I start MotorControl Workbench_6.3.0 and select the example project "Electronic speed control on the B-G431B-ESC1 kit" and do nothing else except generate the code, I get these error messages with attachment.Am I missing a software package on my computer?best regardsAaron

In my code, after setting an on-board LED, the timer is started like this. __HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER(&htim3, 0); while(HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3) != HAL_BUSY);In debugging mode, I saw that the CNT register was in fact incrementing, however in would always rollover and would never trigger this callback function:void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if(htim->Instance == TIM3) { while(HAL_TIM_Base_Stop_IT(htim) != HAL_BUSY); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GREEN_LED_GPIO_Port, GREEN_LED_Pin, RESET); } } I saw on another forum post that someone suggested to put that code in stm32l0xx.c in the function TIM3_IRQHandler(). However when I did that, I found that the function was called instantly after HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3). What is going on here? I opened a new project with the EXACT same settings for timer 3, and it worked perfectly. This project has become far too massive to move everything over to a new project without a lot of heada
