Hi,    I'm working on root cause a Hard Fault issue on STM32H563. The application is a regular ping and response. The system has TrustZone enabled. When the hard fault happens, according to pushed stack info from psp_ns, the call happens inside a memchr function with some invalid char string address called from print function. I tried to step through the print function and hard fault always happened before I really get close to where the problem was reported. If I inspect the psp_ns info when hard fault happens during stepping through the code, it still shows exactly the same info ( issue in memchr with the same invalid pointer). This got me think the hard fault actually happened on the secure region. I also notice there is a value in psp_s, which shows 0x30007F88. I don't know how to view the stack info. I am also not sure if there is some memory conflict happened in this area since ETH DMA uses SRAM3 to process the data. Any suggestion how I can check what happened on the s

I have 2 boards, basically identical except one has PHY KSZ8091RNA and the other has KSZ8091RND.Both use the STM32F429NIH6.The only difference I can find in the two PHYs is that I need to set to set the REFCLOCK bit in KSZ8091RNA's PHYC2 register.  With that bit both boards detect link properly. The KSZ8091RND board works, can transmit and receive Ethernet frames. The KSZ8091RNA board locks up when I try to flush the transmit FIFO by setting the FTF bit in the DMAOMR register. It is supposed to reset the transmit controller FIFO logic and be automatically cleared. It never gets cleared, and the MAC never receives or transmits any packets.I'm writing to the DMAOMR register and not writing again until that bit is cleared. With the KSZ8091RND the bit is cleared immediately.I verified that all registers are identical up until that point with the two PHYs, except for the REFCLOCK bit.The receive descriptors are set up and owned by hardware. What could be blocking the transmit FIFO Flush?

When creating a new project for the STM32WB1MMC the STM32CubeMX displays a dialog box with the warning:Please be aware target STM32WB1MMCx is ObsoleteWhat does this mean?Is it unsafe to use STM32CubeMX for this device? If it is unsafe then what should I do?My understanding is that the STM32WB1MMC is supported for 10-years.Thank you.

Hello,I'm trying to get USBX CDC Virtual COM Device configured on an STM32U535CET6.  I have downloaded and tried to play matchup with the projects out on GitHub for the U5 series but have had no success.  I'm currently stuck on: /* Now check for invalid queue ID. */ else if (queue_ptr -> tx_queue_id != TX_QUEUE_ID) { /* Queue pointer is invalid, return appropriate error code. */ status = TX_QUEUE_ERROR; } queue_ptr -> tx_queue_id is empty but I can't find where it's supposed to be initialized.  The project is barebones, I'm just trying to get CDC to work so I can write out to a terminal like Putty.  I have also gone through the H7 tutorial with no luck.  It has to be something I missed but can't find it.Going through the steps for the H7 that I found on YouTube, the U5 doesn't seem to have these methods:  HAL_PCDEx_SetRxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x80); HAL_PCDEx_SetTxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0, USBD_MAX_EP0_SIZE / 4); HA

We are using part number VL53L3CX on the X-NUCLEO-53L3A2 board, and one feature we were expecting, for example, is for the sensor to generate an interrupt via configurable GPIO in the following situations:it is inside or outside a measurement window, above a measurement.below a measurement.By default, this interrupt is generated every time a measurement is completed by the sensor. Is it possible to configure the sensor to generate interrupts only in the situations mentioned above? If so, can you help us with some examples? Is there a part number with these functions? Thanks

HI Forum,I am configuring my USART as a synchronous slave receive only, the cube software configures clock, receive and transmit GPIO and I cannot remove the transmit GPIO configuration in the GUI without it removing the entire peripheral.  Is their a way to configure this properly.  I can configure the USART with clock and receive manually and the and use the TX pin for some other GPIO in code without a problem. When receive or transmit only is selected from the data direction option the corresponding unused pin should become free.

Hello everyone,I'm configuring a STM32L0 core board to connect to a module using AT commandAll the commands work fine but when I get to a given command (AT+MSG="123456"\r\n), they work only the first time and the second time it only sends ATfor example this code would only work on the first iteration:    while(true){ char cmd[20]; sprintf(cmd, "AT+MSG=\"123456\"\r\n"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart4,cmd,strlen(cmd), 10000 ); HAL_Delay(2000); }    I have seen that in the third more an error appears in the UART_WaitOnFlagUntilTimeout function in the line 33.   HAL_StatusTypeDef UART_WaitOnFlagUntilTimeout(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint32_t Flag, FlagStatus Status, uint32_t Tickstart, uint32_t Timeout) { /* Wait until flag is set */ while ((__HAL_UART_GET_FLAG(huart, Flag) ? SET : RESET) == Status) { /* Check for the Timeout */ if (Timeout != HAL_MAX_DELAY) { if (((HAL_GetTick() - Tickstart) > Timeout) || (Timeout

We are using STM32F105VCT micro in our product from many years. In the recent hardwares, we have seen that input logic level is changing only with 200mv change. When the input voltage to any port pin is crossing 1.5 we are seeing as logic level 1, when input voltage reduces more than 1.3 volts we see it as logic level 0, only 200mv gap. This is causing smaller noise on the input pin causing edge detect triggers in the firmware. With our old batch of micros we see input logic level 1 at 1.7v and logic level 0 at 1.3v. So gap is 400mv As per the data sheet we should see gap 600mv approx between two logic levels Our VDD is 3.3 V (CMOS)As per this VIL max threshold should be 1.136VVH min threshold should be 1.833V There is a gap of 697mv theoretically. Can you please let us know what is the reason behind this, why in both cases it is not matching the data sheet?

When I try to add the STEVAL-SMARTAG2 as a device to the ST Asset Tracker app, nothing happens. It detects the NFC, yet no ID is registered. Must I activate the NFC before?Edit: I tried the steps (see below) in the manual to enable the UART by removing the "//", but I get no info/data in the Tera Term application after I press reset on the Smarttag2. What am I doing wrong?

I followed the user manual and loaded the examples as it is, however, I didn't get any sensor data return as expected, any possible reason or steps I may have missed? This is the user manual expected output  Where as this is my resultWould appreciate if anyone have prior experience can give me some direction.Thank you

Hello, I encountered such an error while working on my software and I cannot solve this error. Can you help me with this issue?

I am running the "Ux_Device_HID_CDC_ACM" example project on a NUCLEO-H563ZI board. The example runs without issues, i can attach and remove the usb cable and the mouse connection appears and disappear. The issue is that the USB-stack does not seem to detect that the usb-cable is removed. When I hit the button to move the mouse pointer when the cable is removed the mouse movements que up in the stack and when i attach the cable again the mouse pointer moves the queued movements. This also happen in VCP part of the example. Messages queue up and are transmitted when the cable is attached again. This is not ok. My real system needs to know when the cable is removed so that actions do not queue up in the stack. The actual cable disconnection is not the problem, i can think of several ways to detect this.  The question:How do I bring down the USB stack in a proper way so that messages are not queued up in the stack?

Hello, I generated a project for STM32U5A9J-DK with STM32CubeIDE (v1.16.0). It doesn’t include the OctalFlash test code. So, I used the test codes in chapter "Octo-SPI FLASH in Regular-command protocol example" of attached AN5050.The mounted OctalFlash is MX25UM51245G. With the program, the data output was shifted by one byte as below. After I use the HAL_OSPI_DELAY_BLOCK, the pass rate becomes higher but still fails. Hello, I am now try to do a BLDC motor driver with STM32G474. I used the tim1 to get the 3 channel PWM and PWMN to drive the 3 full bridge with 6 step solution. the problem is, I referred someone's code. the code is like below: // Bridge FETs for Motor Phase U if(BH1) { HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1); HAL_TIMEx_PWMN_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1); } else { HAL_TIM_PWM_Stop(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1); if(BL1) { TIM_SelectOCxM(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1, TIM_ForcedAction_Active); HAL_TIMEx_PWMN_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1); } else { HAL_TIMEx_PWMN_Stop(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1); } } when I compiled the code. the error is, no TIM_SelectOCxM() function. I think it is not a HAL lib function. so if I want to do the same thing as TIM_SelectOCxM(), how should I do with HAL lib?   please reply, thanks! @

Hi allI am working on a time based velocity estimate from an incremental encoder. Currently its set up so that one timer is running in encoder mode, which works perfectly, the timer counts up and down fine through the full resolution of the encoder. I wanted this timer to generate a trigger event upon every timer counter change, which could trigger another free running timer to latch its value upon the trigger, generating a timestamp for that encoder event. This timer then generates two dma requests that move both the encoder value and the timestamp into variables in the code that can then be used for the velocity estimate. To generate these triggers the only way i have found is to set the trigger event selection for the encoder timer to Compare Pulse (OC1), this works to some extent. Triggers are generated and values are being latched, but its only every 4' encoder count that generates a trigger, this effectively removes 3/4 of the encoder resolution which is not optimal. Dear All,I am evaluating the Nucleo Board H563ZI now.I notice a very curious pheonmeon. In CubeMX, I didn't configure any SWO or JTAG pins, they are all disabled. However, when I generate the project, I am still able to download the program into MCU by ST LINK on the board ( USB Type-C) and go into debug mode. Why is that? Disable all SWO/JTAG function Download and go into deubg mode  Successfully

I believe the following question has been posted in the wrong label by @Nagendrapeddina , hence I am posting here as it has not been answered:How to generate .s19 file using SPC5 studio? Is it possible to generate .S19 files in SPC5 Studio ?

Hi,We are planning to use ST part# ST25R3916B in one of our projects. The product is targeted for European market, and it might also be targeted to US and other global markets as well. Could you help us to know the various design aspects (Electrical and software) we need to take care from NFC certification point of view (considering the target counties) for the NFC design using ST25R3916B (NFC reader) and ST25DV04KC (Tag IC), if any please? In our application, the tag antenna will be placed on a metal surface along with the ferrite sheet. We would like to set antenna impedance to a value of around 15 ohms. Could you help us to know the preferred position of the smith chart’s inner loop and the 13.56MHz point for this application considering a reading distance of about 7 to 8cm please? Please let us know the optimum antenna impedance value, if 15 ohms is not OK.Thank you,Kiran

Hello. We are using PA3 pin as input with pin pull up enabled.Power consumption of the board is around 36 microamps when pin is not connected to ground. But when we connect PA3 to ground we have current increase to 74 microamps.I think that we have some current leakage from the pull up resistor to ground. How can we fix this?Thank you!

Hi!So I am doing a program that supports spanish as language, and in spanish we use the "tilde" which is just used sometimes to mark the accent of a word it looks like this: "Actualización", and when I put it in a wildcard it just shows the fallback character, even though I have put the ´áéíóú as wildcard characters.

Hello everyone,I am learning how to use the ST Edge AI Developer Cloud tool and, after downloading my model that I developed with TensorFlow and selecting the STM32 MCUs platform, I wanted to try the post-training quantization but I encountered the following error:Executing with: {'model': '/tmp/quantization-service/970d7e77-a0e3-4d23-a8ec-5e7e52d9a260/1dcnnrnn_01.h5', 'data': '/tmp/quantization-service/970d7e77-a0e3-4d23-a8ec-5e7e52d9a260/dataset4quantization.npz', 'input_type': tf.float32, 'output_type': tf.float32, 'optimization': <Optimize.DEFAULT: 'DEFAULT'>, 'output': '/tmp/quantization-service/970d7e77-a0e3-4d23-a8ec-5e7e52d9a260', 'disable_per_channel': False} Error when deserializing class 'InputLayer' using config={'batch_shape': [None, 9999, 1], 'dtype': 'float32', 'sparse': False, 'name': 'input_layer_4'}. Dear Sir,When I configure the clock for the STM32H5, I found that the CPU Clock doesn't match the actual result of the dividers. For example, in the figure showing my current configuration, considering the red path, my clock source is from HSI (64/2 MHz), then it goes through a divider (/2), a multiplier (x31), and another divider (/2). The SYSCLK should be 248MHz, not 250MHz. Is 250MHz just an approximation? Could this cause any discrepancies, such as in the Timer counting? When designing my system, should I use the actual value of 248MHz instead of 250MHz?

Hi, I am using STM32G0B1 MCU for my project. Is it true each STM32 IC has its own unique ID. For STM32G4 product has the UID facility. Is it 96-bit ID for all the stm32 families or is it different. Which manual has to be referred for this?If yes can I use that for serial number for the product.Which memory location is it stored? Can read that from IC and send it through UART? Can anyone suggest. Thanks

I want to implement air gesture recognition using accelerometer and gyroscope data. With different movements you should be able to make settings on the handheld device. Movements to be recognized are, for example, tipping twice or moving up and down twice. My findings so far:The first attempt was made with LSM6DSO and it's Finite State Machine (FSM) by using Unico tool. Basically it works, but the reliability is too low. The second attempt was made with LSM6DSOX and it's Machine Learning Core (MLC) by using Unico tool. Reliability is too low in this case as well. The third attempt was made with Qeexo AutoML using the SensorTile Box MCU for processing the sensor data. Similar to this description. https://community.st.com/t5/mems-and-sensors/how-to-detect-hand-air-gestures-with-the-sensortile-box-and/ta-p/49547The result was relatively good. However, just one tipping triggers the double tipping event. My biggest problem is, that I don't want to

I HAVE USED THE ST LOADER  YOU HAVE SUGGESTED FOR MY LAST PROBLEM AND NOW ALSO IT REPEATES TEH SAME PROBLEM THERE IS PROBLEM WHILE OPENING THE STM32_PROGRAMMER_CLI.EXE. SUGGEST ME A SOLUTION FOR THIS OR AN ALTERNATIVE. THIS IS THE DEBUGGER CONFIGURATION AND THE STLOADER I HAVE SELECTED.
