Hi, I am trying to use a Nucleo-H745ZIQ to implement the USB CDC HOST functionality over the USB OTG FS port. I succeeded to do it and make it work if the device connected to my board is another STM32 board which is configured as an usb device, and the communication works alright. The problem comes when I try to do the same with a modem. The modem has 1 configuration, and 4 interfaces. I increased the USBH_MAX_NUM_INTERFACES to match that and forced it to choose the CDC class from the device which is the Third interface and his CDC data class interface the fourth. The problem is that it cannot get past the HOST_CLASS_REQUEST state on the state machine because I'm getting this result: CDC: Device Get Line Coding configuration failed. Does somebody knows which could be the problem? The sections of code I've changed so far if anyone is interested to check:Inside usbh_core.c:Changed ltf_desc[0] for [2] because the interface I want to use is the third, cause its CDC.if (phost->pCl

I'm not satisfied with the limited alignment options of the text field in the standard button with label object. My text field is left aligned, but I want an offset without using spaces. I copied the cpp file and added a horizontal offset to the text rendering part in draw(). This works (tested in simulator). This is the code I changed:  case TEXT_ROTATE_0: offset = (this->getHeight() - height) / 2; // Prefer round down labelRect = Rect(0+10, offset, this->getWidth(), height); // added 10 pixels horizontal offset break;  However the preview of the button in the editor doesn't change. Only when I run the simulator does it update. How is TouchGFX preview generated? Can it be changed?

Hi!when I run the HAL example code LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS I get HAL_ETH_ErrorCallback() called on every packet, but the program seems to work fine.its this bit that gets called (so something hapenning with DMA)if((HAL_ETH_GetDMAError(heth) & ETH_DMACSR_RBU) == ETH_DMACSR_RBU){    osSemaphoreRelease(RxPktSemaphore);}I've read as much as is humanly possible on this and other forums to see if this is normal or what the issue could be, but I have found nothing.I've played around with using different LwIP & Ethernet buffer sizes etc, and different memory sections/protection options etc, but it wont go away, yet the program still runs fine. Can anyone explain what is going on please.the code I'm using is inSTM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.2\Projects\NUCLEO-H723ZG\Applications\LwIP\LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOSthanks all,Mark

I am trying to implement MODBUS-TCP on a TouchGFX generated project. I have successfully enabled Ethernet by following this tutorial on this forum: How to create a project for STM32H7 with Ethernet and LwIP stack working and can ping my board. In the tutorial mentioned above CMSIS_V1 is used, but for the MODBUS library which I want to use CMSIS_V2 is required ( Modbus-STM32-HAL-FreeRTOS ).Now if I simply change CMSIS to V2, i get the error: make: *** No rule to make target '.../Ethernet_Test_TGFX/Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/CMSIS_RTOS/cmsis_os.c', needed by 'Middlewares/FreeRTOS/cmsis_os.o'. Stop. Is this caused by dependencies not being updated properly or how can I solve this? I already tried Refresh+Clean..ioc file is attached. Thanks!

Hello everyone.I'm currently working with ToF sensor VL53L5CX. I wanted to use it in collaboration with a digital camera. But I can see the laser from ToF if the target has a high reflection level. I know that I can simply use the IR filter, but I wanted to synchronize camera acquisition and ToF ranging on/off in a software part. Also, I'm using stop_ranging and start_ranging for autocalibration of temperature drift. I have approximately 200 ms delay before I get the first data from ToF. Is there any possibility to increase this part? In examples of API there only usage in the way, that ranging starts -> loop -> stop ranging. Is it possible to use it with switching _on/switching_off  without delay? Parameters used:Frequency 30hz, 4x4 resolution, continuous mode, xtalk calibration.Thank you!

I inherited an old STM32 project (STM32F373) that uses FreeRTOS and the old Standard Peripheral Library (apparently v1.0.0, dated Sept 20, 2012). Among other things, the project uses USART1 with interrupts to receive LIN messages, and also has a task that runs every 10ms to check the status of input signals (buttons) and writes 3 words to the last flash page if one of them is pressed. In the scenario where there is a lot of traffic on the LIN bus (essentially no time gaps between messages) and the button is pressed, the code repeatedly calls the USART1 ISR and nothing else can run.I have not been able to determine why the ISR keeps getting called; I have handlers in it for each of the interrupts I have enabled, and examining the USART1 registers in debug mode did not reveal anything. That led me to consider other problems, which led to the flash operation, and I discovered the Standard Peripheral Library flash functions have blocking delays in them; if I comment out the flash operations

Hi,I am trying to trigger a cache ECC error. I referenced AN5342 and this post but Ive had no luck. Hello, does STM32H562 have the system rom bootloader?I cannot find it AN2606, however its datasheet does mention the system bootloader.Thank you

Hello,I am trying to get zigbee traces running on STM32WB5MMG running on Sparkfuns development boards. For my current project I am using this hardware:SprakFun MicroMod Main Board - Single - https://www.sparkfun.com/products/20748SparkFun MicroMod STM32WB5MMG Processor - https://www.sparkfun.com/products/21438Standalone UART Connection works fine, only the traces dont work in combination with the Zigbee Stack enabled. To illustrate the problem I created two fresh projects:STM32WB5MMG_UART_TEST:This one is a project for testing the UART on the custom hardware (serial connector located next to the "function zero" connector), I enabled interrupts and dma for rx/tx which works perfectly fine putting out a simple counter.STM32WB5MMG_ZIGBEE_WITH_TRACES_TEST:This one is a fresh project for testing the Zigbee Stack together with traces (based on the same configuration as STM32WB5MMG_UART_TEST). I expect the Zigbee Traces to be received on the serial interface just like the counter in the other

Hello,For some reason, I'm not able to enable LWIP on CubeMX 6.11.1, it looks grayed out. I have enabled ETH in RMII mode and CPU DCache. However, if I enable both Cortex M7 and M4, then I'm able to enable LWIP. Is this the expected behavior?

Hello allI know there have been plenty of posts about TouchGFX not providing the full set of display rotation options usually found in other GUI systems such as emWin (0, 90, 180, 270 degrees). But I wanted to ask ST / TouchGFX if there any plans to add this functionality in the future? As an embedded engineer we often have to provide solutions for problems, and being presented with a display that had to be mounted upside down or rotated 90 degrees is not un common, usually enclosure or PCB connector constraints demand the display is orientated so the FPC connector tail is in a pre-set position. In the real world we are not creating firmware for DISCO or NUCLEO development boards. As a long time user of emWin, being able to rotate the display image was assumed. Its an essential feature, just like displaying a text string.I know there is a ugly 'solution' offered that involves swapping all the pixels in the frame buffer, but as suggested this is 'expensive' in terms of bandwidth and

I'm aiming to use the OEMiRoT sample project as a concept for secure updating of a large single-slot application in STM32U083 (need application size at least 160kB for migration from STM32L071). For that I need to give the bootloader a driver for external SPI flash where the encrypted updates can reside that the application downloads. The How_to_start_with_OEMiRoT_on_STM32U0 manual doesn't address the concept of debugging OEMiRoT at all. The provisioning procedure works, using RDP level 0 (even with modified code, as I can see an error printout that I added in the bootloader init).Starting a debugging session after this provisioning results in the debugger not being able to erase the sectors, on the other hand after erasing the chip beforehand (using ob_flash_programming.bat upto the erase part) it succeeds and I can debug, but immediately run into the protection mechanisms generating errors. Is there any manual how to debug this project and which defines to disable/modify to

Hello,I was wondering if it is possible to use the FreeRTOS Middleware which is used on the STM32H7 and STM32F4 and which can be found at the following links ‘https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7/tree/master/Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source’ and ‘https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF4/tree/master/Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source’ in the case of the STM32U5G9VJTxQ. Or if on the other hand, in the case of this chip this Middleware is not valid and it is necessary to proceed in a different way. Thanks!

We have a more than 10 years old STM32F100 project which was built by AC6, I try to use TruStudio and STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1 to import , and build it, but all fails on Error "Program "make" not found in path". How to fix it?

Looking for a recommendation for generating a discrete number of pulses from PWM, for the example below i setup timer 1 to generate PWM and timer 2 with input capture interrupt to count the pulses, I did this with both rising and falling edge and both resulted with slight errors. I attempted to create a 3-pulse burst, but as can be seen it doesn't quite work. Any suggestions on how I can implement this better?  After 3 pulses on the interrupt, I stop PWM on channel 1. Rising Edge mode Tim2 interrupt mode, 3 full pulses generated plus a 4th partial.  Rising Edge mode Tim2 interrupt mode, only 2 full pulses generated.

How can i solve this ? My board is a nucleo lnucleo-l476rg (genuine i think) but i cant do anything bc my cubeprogrammer dont works

I'm able to connect to my STM32F373 board over a USB virtual port com successfully.  I'm also able to set BOOT0 high via a jumper and boot into the bootloader.  The Linux  'dmesg' command shows: [3552008.377434] usb 3-2: new full-speed USB device number 101 using xhci_hcd [3552008.526223] usb 3-2: New USB device found, idVendor=0483, idProduct=df11, bcdDevice=22.00 [3552008.526227] usb 3-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 [3552008.526229] usb 3-2: Product: STM32 BOOTLOADER [3552008.526230] usb 3-2: Manufacturer: STMicroelectronics [3552008.526231] usb 3-2: SerialNumber: 2077345D2039  However when I run the STM32CubeProgrammer, it does not connect to the STM32F373 or even show it listed in the USB Port dropdown box.  It shows 'No DFU detected'.I have set the boot jumper on my board and it does seem to be detected as 'STM32 BOOTLOADER' via the 'lsusb' command.Am I able to use the USB DEVICE in CubeMX as a virtual port com, and t

Hello!! I'm trying to use both CAN peripherals in an STM32F446RET6R on a custom PCB, but something is not going well enough. I've done the basic configuration using the STMCubeIDE platform (I'll add the code later, but first I want to know if someone has had similar issues with this microcontroller). The problem is that if I only configure one peripheral, CAN1 (the Master), everything works okay—no error bits in SFRs, no BUSOFFs or anything like that, everything is transmitted and received well. But when I configure CAN2 (SLAVE), CAN1 continues working perfectly, but CAN2 starts sending frames with CRC errors and corrupted data (I'm using CANoe to read the messages). The TEC bit starts incrementing until the node gets stopped. The flags raised when the transmission stops are TEC, EPVF, and EWGF. I also want to add that if I configure everything without a reception interrupt in CAN2, the transmission and reception in CAN1 and transmission in CAN2 work fine without any flags raised. If a

Hello, so I am completely new to working with STM boards in general. I just got a brand new stm32f446re board, and I tried to upload some code to it through Linux. And I do mean brand new, I haven't uploaded or downloaded any code to it before this attempt. However, when I attempted to do so, I got an error message:"WARN common.c: unknown chip id! 0x421"So, I looked around for a bit and tried a simple command: st-info --probe to see some internal stuff on it. But I was told this:"No such file or directory version:V2J33S25 serial: 066DFF534871754867255336 flash: 0 (pagesize: 0) sram: 0 chipid: 0x421"   After spending roughly about two weeks trying to find stuff online, I couldn't figure out anything on what to do. So, I am very much open to suggestions if anybody knows anything about this error.Thank you very much in advance for any help.

Hello all  I'm trying to write to the flash memory on an STM32F746 discovery board.  This is the code so far, just a test to write a single word..   #define FLASH_USER_START_ADDR 0x080c0000 int Flash_Write(void) { HAL_StatusTypeDef status; uint32_t address = FLASH_USER_START_ADDR; // Start address for writing // 1. Hello.I'm having trouble transfer the UserApp to SBSFU. Here's the description of the issue. Any help is appreciated!I prepared the NUCLEO-H753ZI board by disabling all the security and fully erase the board (by setting RDP level 1->0 ).I'm using the 1-Image example code, All security feature were disabled by #define SECBOOT_DISABLE_SECURITY_IPS in app_sfu.h. I loaded SBSFU.elf onto the board and transferred the UserApp.sfb via YMODEM. At first attempt the user application transferred without issue. At later attempts, the transfer stuck at first couple of packets until it failed. This also happened to a second board.Using the debugger, it seems to be failing at SE_CRYPTO_ReadKey_Pub() inside the SE_CRYPTO_Authenticate_Metadata() function. I have no clue for the reason. I tried a different approach by loading the final image "SBSFU_UserApp.bin" directly to the board and the program went into a infinite reset loop. From the debug, it failed at the same place.Becaus
