Hello! I'm new to the Cube IDE and i want to work with the Chinese board DevEbox with STM32H743VIT6 on it. Before i worked with Arduino Framework where i tested the sd card, ethernet and other basic functions. I wonder, if it and how it possible to use the same DevEbox in Cube IDE as IOC file for example. Should i configure it all by myself or maybe someone has already made and shared it? I would be grateful for any solution.STM32H7 Series

Hello, ST experts For some reason, PA12 of STM32U595VGT6 is set to GPIO at start up. But I can not find how to set PA12 to USB_DP again in any alternate function of AF1 to AF15. BRYang

Hi, I am experimenting with the STM32U5G9J-DK2 discovery kit and want to use one of the basic timers to regularly trigger a memory-to-peripheral DMA request to write different values into the GPIOD ODR register. I set up TIM7 to trigger about every 1s and connected it to GPDMA channel 5 which is set up as memory-to-peripheral transfer on TIM_DMA_ID_UPDATE. I start the DMA to write values of an array (~RED_LED_Pin, ~GREEN_LED_Pin) into the ODR register of GPIOD to alternate those two LEDs on the discovery board every second. When I disable circular mode in the GPDMA channel, it works exactly once. (First the red LED lights up and then after 1s the red LED turns off and the green LED turns on and stays on) But as I want this to repeat itself, I tried to enable circular DMA mode. In that case however, both LEDs stay dark. Nothing is ever written into the ODR register.   Maybe someone has an idea what the cause of the problem could be. Thank you in advance!   These are the releva

Hi,R3_2_TurnOnLowSides is shorted motor 3 phases to ground, so when my ebike is downhill will motor power will transfer to DC BUS so call regenerative braking ?Danny

We for testing CEC client device require emulate master. In normal device code we set hcec.Init.OwnAddress = CEC_OWN_ADDRESS_x but for TV master how is right choice?  hcec.Init.OwnAddress = CEC_OWN_ADDRESS_NONE; or hcec.Init.OwnAddress = CEC_OWN_ADDRESS_0; exist some example?

Hi I am using CAN in STM32F303RDT6.I am using HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage for CAN transmission. This function will send the data and return HAL_OK if the sending mailbox is free. However, although HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage returns HAL_OK, no message may actually be output on the CAN bus.I am using CANoe to monitor a CAN bus. My application has a queue that stores outgoing messages that I create. The application writes outgoing data to the queue at any time. The data retrieved from the queue is input to HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage. When HAL_OK is returned, it is assumed that the data has been sent and the next queue data is retrieved. However, even though HAL_OK is returned, there are times when it is not output to the CAN bus. This is a problem. Please tell me any countermeasures. Help Me.....

Background, We have projects where the SYS timebase is set to a peripheral timer. Currently, this no longer works with the new cubeMX version. In STM32CubeIDE 1.17, migrating projects to the updated CubeMX version (6.12.0 -> 6.13.0) modifies the FreeRTOSConfig.h file in Core/Inc. Specifically, the following changes occur:Old lines (140–143):/* IMPORTANT: This define is commented when used with STM32Cube firmware, when the timebase source is SysTick, to prevent overwriting SysTick_Handler defined within STM32Cube HAL */#define xPortSysTickHandler SysTick_HandlerNew lines (144–146):/* IMPORTANT: After 10.3.1 update, Systick_Handler comes from NVIC (if SYS timebase = systick), otherwise from cmsis_os2.c */#define USE_CUSTOM_SYSTICK_HANDLER_IMPLEMENTATION 0The old configuration ensured that FreeRTOS used its SysTick implementation from port.c. Specifically, xPortSysTickHandler in port.c was renamed to SysTick_Handler, matching the function name in the startup file's interrupt vector. With

Hey together,I discovered a super strange a critical behaviour of the STM32H750 chip. Maybe you can help me to prove this issue. We have a firmware which is split into 2 parts (bootloader, application). Both BL and APP are using the UARTs to communicate internally. We created a new APP which changes some clock mux settings for the UART for testing. Important is the change from PCLK2 to PLLQ2, in the last APP we used in both PCLK2. But now when we jump from the APP to the BL with NRST, we stuck from time to time at the "HAL_UART_Init()" in the line 371return (UART_CheckIdleState(huart));The UART is wating for the TEACK flag after enabling the TE flag of the UART. This polling is important as the TE flag is set by the CPU while the TEACK flag is set by the UART peripheral which is clocked by the clock mux. Here is a link to the description: EFTON - STM32 gotchas - Gotcha 141But when you stuck here, you can do whatever you want, pull NRST down as long as you want, or even r

HelloWe are using the Nucleo-f439zi (STM32F439ZITbu microcontroller) https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/dm00031020-stm32f405-415-stm32f407-417-stm32f427-437-and-stm32f429-439-advanced-arm-based-32-bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdfWe have set up the Nucleo in device mode for USB_OTG_FS, we are able to receive setup packets through the FIFO and read them but when we try to reply to the Device Descriptor request, even though it seems like everything is correct (size to send out packet is 0x12, pointer to the 0x50001000 FIFO address and simplest device descriptor matrix, even though XFRC bit in DIEPINT0 gets set to signal the transfer complete. The order of events is :The device gets physically connected to the hostHost sends setup packetThe device reads the FIFO and stores the setup packet.when setup phase is done (DOEPINT_STUP interrupt triggered) the device reads the setup packet and checks to see if it is a Device Descriptor Request (DDR), which it is.If it is a DDR

Hi there!i start to work with Dallas Ibutton and for my project i use STM32G031K8 nucleo. Because i need to read only one ibutton i use the UART peripheral and no ic dedicate for 1Wire. My problem is when i try to  use the rx callback function for know when i receive all data (and i start wit  receive one bit at the time) never shoot, If i put a simple delay of 1ms everythingh wor very well i can see all my data on my logic analyzer .Question because the nucleo use the second uart2 for debug is possible that give me the problem ? and if yes how can i resolve ?Thank you soo much Sergio

We are trying to do SPI communication in the GPIO interrupt handler. We are not sure about the following two points. Can someone please give me an answer?1, If another GPIO interrupt occurs while the GPIO interrupt handler is running (with the same priority), does it wait for the GPIO interrupt handler running first to complete before running the later GPIO interrupt handler?Or is the later GPIO interrupt ignored?2,We would like to disable GPIO interrupts during SPI communication in order to perform SPI communication in the GPIO interrupt handler. How should we write the program?

We are developing a software application that uses GPIO interrupts. We want to set interrupts on the same pins (PE8, PG8), but only one of them can be set to external interrupt mode in the ioc.Is it not possible to set external interrupt mode for two different ports on the same pin?

I am trying to prototype ethernet on the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 eval board. When enabling ethernet through CubeMx using the same configuration I've used on the NUCLEO-H563ZI, the ethernet driver fails initialization. Is there an alternative Ethernet driver that is recommended or a better eval board I should use?

I plan on using 3 stepper motors to get xyz movement. currently I'm looking at L9110S to control the motors. Will the raspberry pi work with 3 of them? I have a b+

Hi,The requirement is to port MQTT of NetX Duo to STM32f412 ,without the need to use the TCP/IP and TLS addons in NetX Duo.  Since we have DIGI XBee's modem and we will use its  TLS socket for communications. I have the secure-socket-like interface ready, e.g. createSocket, connect, send, recv, etc...I'm looking at the middleware at stm32-mw-netx.  At the beginning, I expected by providing my own BSD addon, I could run the azure-iot. But it turns out that the BSD addon in that repository is not used by MQTT. Can you suggest how I can integrate my sockets to the azure-iot/MQTT addon? Best regards,Hongwei

Title: How to enable C++17 (std::variant) in TouchGFX Simulator?Hello everyone,I'm working on a TouchGFX project in STM32CubeIDE and trying to use C++17 features in the simulator, specifically `std::variant`. However, when I compile the simulator code, I get the following error:In file included from gui/include/gui/model/Model.hpp:5:0, from generated/gui_generated/include/gui_generated/common/FrontendApplicationBase.hpp:8, from gui/include/gui/common/FrontendApplication.hpp:4, from generated/gui_generated/include/gui_generated/containers/ItemContainerLevel3Base.hpp:7, from gui/include/gui/containers/ItemContainerLevel3.hpp:4, from gui/src/containers/ItemContainerLevel3.cpp:1: gui/include/gui/common/CommonDefinitions.hpp:257:26: error: 'variant' in namespace 'std' does not name a template type using DataVariant = std::variant<int, float, double, std::string, ConfigData>; ^~~~~~~It seems that the TouchGFX simulator environment is not compiling with `-std=c++17`. I've tried editing

Hello All,I am using USART peripheral to transfer a block of bytes. I am trying to do it using DMA. Because I want all bytes of USART frame should be dispatched without any gaps between them and my system has few interrupts that could bring gaps between the byte if I transfer using polling mode.So I have configured the DMA channel for this. But my problem is that DMA Transfer complete Callback is not getting invoked by HAL Driver. I am using Normal DMA mode and NOT the circular mode.void HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart)when I debugged the code I found that the HAL driver file stm32f0xx_hal_uart.c file line no 3533static void UART_DMATransmitCplt(DMA_HandleTypeDef *hdma)is only invoking the HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback() when the DMA type is Circular (see the screenshot below) so is it a bug? Because HAL documentation doesn't state that the callback will be called only for CIRCULAR mode and NOT normal more. Nor does this code is making any sense. When I removed the "el

I was recently testing the FOD reping behavior and noticed that when FOD is detected and FOD reping is enabled, the TX retry delay is fairly short (a few seconds). Are there any settings to increase this time delay? If a foreign object keeps getting detected, does the TX eventually increase the reping delay time? It seems that with this short of a delay the foreign object could still heat up as the charger still transfers power every few seconds.

In MX, at first, I changed the sample rate to 8 bits to double the baudrate. The code was successfully generated, compiled and downloaded. The communication still exists, but the baudrate is still the same as before, with a bit duration of 1.08us.Then, on MX view, I reverted the sample rate back to 16 bits and introduced manually the new baudrate 1843200. The same as before happened, with the baudrate not being updated.I tried to update directly the values on the MX_USART2_UART_Init function and the same happened, the baudrate is still 921600bps.As I suspected this could be a rate compatibility problem, I decided to lower the baudrate to 115200bps, both on MX view and directly on the code. Again, the real baudrate remained at 921600 bps.On my test setup, I have two MCUs STM32H745IIK6 connected together through their UART2 (no flow control and no baudrate auto-detect). One of the MCUs sends a byte constantly over and over and the other receives it and sends it back. Obviously, the chang

Hi I am having some issues where my MCU ( stm32f030C8T6 ) seems to get stuck in a while loop when using I2C1 and a AS5600 IC.I will paste the code below but give some more detail on the issue here.In the function named "void I2C1_Write_DMA(uint8_t slave_address, uint8_t *data, uint16_t size)" AND "void I2C1_Read_DMA(uint8_t slave_address, uint8_t *data, uint16_t size)" the line "while (!dma_transfer_complete);" makes the MCU get stuck in an Endless loop. When I use the BusPirate to sniff on the transaction I see that it gives the following (" [0x6C+ ")(Which ended on ACK) before getting stuck on in the loop. You can compile and run this code if you happen to have this board laying around. #include <stdint.h> #include "stm32f030x8.h" #if !defined(__SOFT_FP__) && defined(__ARM_FP) #warning "FPU is not initialized, but the project is compiling for an FPU. Please initialize the FPU before use." #endif // Function Prototypes void Clock_Setup(void); void DMA_Init(voi

I'm trying to debug the board based on STM32L4P5RG in low power mode using the SEGGER tools (J-Link, RTT viewer, SystemView)The device enters the low power mode periodically using the callHAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);I also enable the the low power mode debug by caling HAL_DBGMCU_EnableDBGStopMode()So far I see that the debug tools misbehave. For example the RTT viewer capture of printouts corrupts upon first entry to the STOP mode and does not come back. When looking at the SEGGER forum I found that in order for debug tools to operate, the debug module shall be able to access the RAM (that probably fails in my case). They recommend to confirm with the uCU vendor if the RAM access in low power mode is possible (bus clock on??) for the specific device. Can you please comment on this?

Hi all.  I have used the ListLayout Example as the basis of latest iteration of my TouchGFX project.  Having already built a mockup gui from this example which worked as expected,  I'm a little perplexed to find I'm having issues with this one.Everything seemed to be going well until I started to add list element arrays into mainView.cpp: mainView::mainView(): mainViewBase(), awgElementClickedCallback(this, &mainView::awg_elementUpdateItem), coilElementClickedCallback(this, &mainView::coil_elementUpdateItem), layersElementClickedCallback(this, &mainView::layers_elementUpdateItem), spinElementClickedCallback(this, &mainView::spin_elementUpdateItem), stepElementClickedCallback(this, &mainView::step_elementUpdateItem), tplElementClickedCallback(this, &mainView::tpl_elementUpdateItem), wireElementClickedCallback(this, &mainView::wire_elementUpdateItem) { // ... } void mainView::setupScreen() { mainViewBase::setupScreen(); // awg

I am testing Lora-E5 mini with FreeRTOS from LoRaWan-E5-Node-qian example in STM32CubeIde . All works fine except the clock (MSI) is only 4 MHz.  This causes that e.g. osDelay(100) takes 4 s.I have been trying to change MSI to HSE 32 MHz, but no luck. Does someone know, how to change the clock. There is an ioc file, but use of STM32Cube will ruin the project.

Hello,I have posted some questions for this configuration - NUCLSEO-G071RB + X-NUCLEO-GFX01M02($AZ2). Now some sample projects are partially working.Created a new project with two page screen switching by ToughGFX Designer 4.21.1 with STM32G071RB NUCLEO AZ2 configuration. (1). It can compiled and downloaded into the board and show 1st page graphic, but the touch panel does not work, cannot switch the screen by press the button on the screen. (2). if any changes in STM32CubeMX - STM32G071RB_NUCLEO_AZ2.ioc and re-generated the code, it will cause compiling issue with this new code. 2.Tested X-CUBE-DISPLAY - en.X-CUBE-DISPLAY.3.0.0.zip. Selected GFX01M2_HelloWorld from X-NUCLEO-GFX01M2 and NUCLEO-G071RB. Compiled fine, but the project code hang at BSP_LCD_Init(). It could be caused by LCD type as I am using AZ2. but after re-configuration in STM32CubeMX. the project has compiling issues.Questions,Do you have any sample project work fine with NUCLEO-G071RB + X-NUCLEO-GFX01M2 ($AZ2)?For
