Hello ST Community,I'm working on an application using the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller that implements a Sliding Mode Observer (SMO) and Park/Clarke transformations. I'm facing significant performance challenges due to the computational overhead of the floating-point trigonometric functions  atan2f.My system requires a 50us loop execution time, but the SMO alone is taking approximately 20us, largely due to these trigonometric functions. I need to optimize this to meet my timing requirements. Here's a breakdown of my current implementation:MCU: STM32F103C8T6Application: SMO and Park/Clarke transformationsProblem: Excessive execution time of  and atan2f within a 50us loop.Current Performance: SMO takes ~20us.Compiler: stm32cubeideOptimization Flags: O2Clock Frequency: 20khzPlease tell me solution

Hi everyone,I’m planning to buy an STM32 development board to start learning FreeRTOS. I have experience with bare-metal firmware development, primarily on TI C2000 DSPs and PIC32 MCUs, but I have no prior experience with STM32.My goal is to first learn RTOS concepts and then move on to interfacing with peripherals like I2C, SPI, and CAN.Right now, I’m considering the STM32L4 Discovery Kit IoT Node (B-L475E-IOT01A) because it has onboard sensors and and looks to have a wide FreeRTOS support.Would this be a good choice for a beginner with no prior STM32 experience, or is there another STM32 board that would be better suited for learning FreeRTOS?Any recommendations or insights from experienced STM32 developers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I am using the STM32F723 with custom, self-powered PCB interfaced to a host using USB HS. Everything worked fine with with CubeMX 6.12, but after upgrading to more recent versions, I noticed that the following functions are no longer generated within HAL_PCD_MspInit() (file usbd_conf.c):     __HAL_RCC_USB_OTG_HS_CLK_ENABLE();__HAL_RCC_USB_OTG_HS_ULPI_CLK_ENABLE(); and also the corresponding clock-disabling functions in HAL_PCD_MspDeInit(). If I manually re-insert these calls, everything works again.Anyone knows the reason why these functions are not generated, and if I am missing any USB_HS setting in more recent CubeMX versions that should be taking care of this issue? Thanks!

Hi,Setup:https://github.com/Open-CMSIS-Pack/STM32U5xx_DFP/blob/main/CMSIS/Debug/STM32U535_545_575_585_59x_5Ax.dbgconfCompiler: ARM Keil MDKv5 version 5.41When using Embedded Trace (Sync Trace with 4-bit) and the Debug Description file (.dbgconf Configuration File) from the STM32U5A5 DFP v3.0.0 pack is enabled, the processor enter debug mode, but no trace data is send from processor. The SWD debugger works correctly and it is possible to step through the code, breakpoints, etc.Once in debug mode, a breakpoint is placed on the code, and the GPIOE_MODER register is read back as 0xFFFFFFFF, which indicates that the .dbgconf file is somehow incorrect. The Log Sequence shows that the .dbgconf file is read and executed but the trace signals are not enabled. If the GPIO_MODER register is changed manually (selecting the alternate function mode for PE2, PE3, PE4, PE5 and PE6), the Trace signals are enabled (seen on the oscilloscope) and the Trace data is read correctly in uVision.Do you have an u

Hello Everyone,We are interfacing HDMI Connectors with a microprocessor such as AM625 or AM62P or RK3568 for use in Industrial HMI Controller environment. We would be using HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 data transfer rates. We plan to use a HDMI companion chip such as the HDMI2C4-5F2. We would like to use some filters between the ESD diode and the microprocessor for better immunity from noisy industrial environment.Circuit would typically be Connect ----> ESD Diodes ----> Filters ----> Microprocessor HDMI pins. ( ESD Diodes and Filters shall be typically placed close to the connectors ). For the TDMS pairs, we would use a common mode filter such as ECM4-2450A17M10.However, we wish to know, what kind of filters are required for SCL, SDA, HPD, Enable and VCC pins. Can you please recommend us some part numbers. Regards,Gaurav Joshi

Hello dear friends, this is my first post and I need your help with an issue I have. I designed some devices based on STM32C031C6. I use an I2C command to jump to bootloader and I upload the new firmware via I2C also from a microcomputer using the stm32flash software. The problem comes when I switch to RDP L1. Then, stm32flash can't upload the new firmware. As far I understood, before the upload a mass erase should be done, which is not possible. I can change the RDP level from stm32flash using -k and -j parameters, but this is possible only when I enter bootloader using the jumper configuration. If I enter bootloader from the software via the I2C command, -k and -j parameters result on a NACK from the device.- How can I complete the upload process via I2C, while my devices are secured with RDP L1?- Is the issue software related?- Do I need to switch RDP levels, before the upload? If yes, is a power circle also required? Here is the code I use for the bootloader jump:void JumpToBoot

Hello,I'm working with the new STM32N6570-DK series. But I can't generate the code with MDK ARM.Thanks,Pierrick Dupont

hi! Please provide the zero bias(accelerometer) at 25℃ of ASM330LHHTR, thanks!

I enabled CAN in the device tree using STM32CubeMX and followed the instructions in the provided documentation to generate the .dtb file. Afterward, I copied the generated .dtb file to the /boot directory. In the terminal, I ran the following commands: sync reboot After rebooting, I checked the dmesg log and found the following output when filtering for CAN-related messages: dmesg | grep can [ 0.451665] can: controller area network core [ 0.451819] can: raw protocol [ 0.451832] can: broadcast manager protocol [ 0.451847] can: netlink gateway - max_hops=1 However, when I checked the available network interfaces can0 isn't avaliable root@stm32mp1-e1-99-00:~# ls /sys/class/net end0 lo usb0 wlan0 I have attached the dts file for reference

Hi everyone,I’m currently working on an I2C communication setup using the Nucleo-H753ZI DK but the cubeMx document is for the STM32H743BIT (the MCU for my custom board) and aiming to run it in Fast Mode (400 kHz). However, when configuring the I2C clock speed to 400 kHz, the CLK signal becomes unstable, as shown in the attached image. To ensure the setup is functioning correctly, I ran tests with I2C configured at 100 kHz, and the communication works perfectly in that case. I’ve also included an image of the system clock configuration in case there’s something that could be optimized.  Does anyone know what might be causing the instability in the CLK signal, preventing proper communication at 400 kHz? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi everyone,Recently started working on STM32C011J4M3 micro. I'm trying to set PF2-NRST pin as a GPIO. but when I configure it from cube MX as GPIO PIN always reamins in High state that is a 3.28v and i'm unable to toggle the pin or perform any other operation. int main(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */// SET_BIT(FLASH->OPTR,FLASH_OPTR_NRST_MODE_1);WRITE_REG(FLASH->OPTR,0x2UL << 027U); // Even tried stting nrst mode2./* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */MX_GPIO_Init();/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* USER CODE END 2 */ /* Infinite loop *//* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */while (1)

Hello,I am new to the STM32 development environment and real-time programming. I have the STM32H573I-DK development board and have followed the workshop provided by ST, available on the wiki:https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/Security:How_to_start_with_STM32CubeMX_Secure_Manager_on_STM32H57I am using STM32Cube_H5_V1.4.0. However, the default RTC clock configuration does not work. During RTC initialization, I am forced to configure it with the LSE source, otherwise, the program gets stuck when executing the SystemClock_Config() function. After this modification, the program eventually works, and timestamps are correctly displayed on the serial terminal. However, I need to integrate FreeRTOS into the non-secure part of my application. When I add the X-CUBE-FREERTOS package (version 1.3.0), generate, and compile the project, I encounter the following errors:  Secure_manager/Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/portable/GCC/ARM_CM33/non_secure/port.c:1047: undefin

Hi Everyone          I confuse about uint8_t or uint16_t on stm32cubeide. When going to debug mode the Live Expressions (tab bar) when I change format to decimal value it shows negative value if the value more than 127 for uint8_t and 32767 for uint16_t. It should be store value 0 to 255 or 0 to 65535 without sign. Is it correct?Hex format     Dec formatBest regardwatchaphong

Hello Community, I have an observation from my attempt to daisy chain multiple AEK-POW-BMS63EN devices.  I have made a battery pack which has two 14-cell Battery modules in series. One module is supposed to be connected to one AEK-POW-BMS63EN and send data over ISOSPI lines back to the AEK-ISOSPI-SPI Translator and then to the master, which is AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1.  I validated the individual slaves first, and they were working. However, when I connected the ISOH line of my first slave with the ISOL line of the second slave, it created a short circuit, and the slave IC burnt. I want to know what the correct configuration is for connecting the ISOSPI lines for a daisy chain.  I have attached my configuration in the attached photo.  Thank you Regards, Vipul

Hi, We are designing a low power design using STM32U5A9NJH6Q. As it is low power we aim for lowest possible consumption. We are not using USB on the device; hence we would like to omit any consumption from the VDDUSB and would have connected it to VSS if there where not stated this in the DS: "• VDDUSB = 3.0 V to 3.6 VVDDUSB is the external independent power supply for USB transceivers. VDDUSBvoltage level is independent from the VDD voltage and must be connected to VDD orVSS pin (preferably to VDD) when the USB is not used."Now our VDD is 1.8V and although it states 3-3.6V then we do assume that this range is only needed if the USB interface shall be operational, as it has been the case with other STM32s.The tricky point is the "preferably to VDD".So the question is what is consumption if connected to our 1.8V and what is the impact if connecting to VSS?

Hello,I am working with a STM32WB09KE mcu on a custom pcb. I am trying to write a softwareloop that measures something every x min and afterwards goes into deepstop mode. I was following some online documentation, but it seems like the wb09-series is not represented alot. Currently I have configured the RTC to generate an alarm at every 5 minutes (at 12:05:00, 12:10:00, etc exact). This interrupt is confirmed to be working. Now I am writing a function to enter deepstop mode in the main loop based on some examples online. Currently I have this:void Enter_DeepStopMode(void) { __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_WU_FLAG_ALL); HAL_SuspendTick(); __HAL_RCC_LSI_ENABLE(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); HAL_ResumeTick(); SystemClock_Config(); } The problem is that the compiler (using STM32CubeIDE) does not find this function and argument 'HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);'I'm not sure if the wb09 can use this function. I have looked through the examples in the wb0

Hello,i use STM32WB05KZ for the bluetooth. With software can use to programme or to do some BLE test ?thanks

Hello, I couldn't find any examples with RFAL to use capacitive sensing and the usage of AAT. I'm using a single ended matched antenna. I tried using rfalAdjustRegulators(), it always gives a value of 3000. I also wanted capacitive sensing: the chip should wakeup and start polling only when a capacitance change is detected on the capacitive pads, otherwise it should be in low power mode (if possible). I've included the code I'm using. The function stateCB is being called frequently. I don't believe it's being triggered by capacitive sensing. rfalAnalogConfigInitialize(); PERFORM_WITH_LOG(err, rfalNfcInitialize()); PERFORM_WITH_LOG(err, st25r3911SetAntennaMode(true, false)); rfalWakeUpConfig wakeupConf = {.period = RFAL_WUM_PERIOD_100MS, .irqTout = false, .refWU = { .enabled = true, .refDelay = RFAL_WUM_PERIOD_100MS, }, .indAmp = {

STM32C031G4I am trying to adjust the RTC time in an EXTI interrupt routine (its a button press, it should e.g. add an hour). The RTC is setup using HAL, it succesfully inits with the preset values. After Initialization everything works, the RTC is counting and I can read the time, the initial HAL_RTC_SetTime works. When the button is pressed, the current time is read, modified and then set. However i cannot re-enter the initialization mode to change the RTC time registers with HAL_RTC_SetTime. RTC_EnterInitMode fails with HAL_TIMEOUT.  I verified that the RTCAPBEN is set. I did a full SFR register dump diff comparing the initial state and the state when its called from the EXTI interrupt. I could not  find a problematic difference. These are the functions that I call to change or read the time:HAL_StatusTypeDef SetTime(RTC_TimeTypeDef *sTime,uint32_t Format) { if (HAL_RTC_SetTime(lrtc, sTime, Format) == HAL_OK) return HAL_OK; return HAL_ERROR; } HAL_StatusTypeDef

Dears, I have issues with setting RTC shift register.I have setup RTC with AsynchPrediv = 127 & SynchPrediv = 255 and is working normally.I tried to periodically setting RTC->SHIFTR with value 100 each 5 secs. Then wait for the shift operation to complete and immediately I read SS back using register RTC->SSR register. But RTC->SSR provide "random values" in PREDIV_S range (0 - 255). I expect that it should be lower than 100 but close (not higher)Where could be problem ?Thanks in advanceRadimExample code:  int main(void) { unsigned this_ssr, tick, tr, dr; reset_backup_domain(); ... /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); ... // Turn on shadow registers to speed up RTC operations HAL_RTCEx_EnableBypassShadow(&hrtc); ... while(1) { __HAL_RTC_WRITEPROTECTION_DISABLE(&hrtc); HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); RTC->SHIFTR = 100; // test value // Wait for the shift operation

the objective of this particular project was to transmit data frames from stm32h750dbk(discovery kit) to stm32g491re(nucleo)it is debugging and creating live expression for both of the data types in receiving and transmit end of board i have not connected any transceiver between them because it has inbuilt fdcan ports i am attaching both the codes for g4 and h7 the picture of hardware and the live expression result when debugged separately

Hello, I am working on C + Assembly and encountering an issue.I am working on a simple program on an STM32F3 (Cortex-M4) that calls an assembly function (assembly_main) from main() in a loop. However, assembly_main()executes only once and does not return back to main() as expected. The only way to make it work continuously is by forcing an unconditional branch, which is not what I want.I suspect the issue is related to stack pointer (SP) corruption or an incorrect return address being stored while executing main(), which prevents assembly_main() from properly returning.QuestionsI assume the system starts execution from Reset_Handler, jumps to main(), and then calls assembly_main()? Is this the correct flow? However, something goes wrong when trying to return from assembly_main(). Why does bx lr fail to return back to main()?It seems that LR (Link Register) is not holding a valid return address. Is my stack pointer (SP) being overwritten?Any insights or debugging pointers would be gr
