Hello,I’m trying to create a simple program to test BLE functionality of my board. The board does not have HSE but it has LSE. I'm not sure if that is a problem. I'm using PlatformIO for the programming, configurations and building/flashing. When I upload the program to board it goes to infinite loop on if (!BLE.begin()) { while (1); } more specific on __WEAK void shci_cmd_resp_wait(uint32_t timeout) { for (unsigned long start = millis(); (millis() - start) < timeout;) { if (CmdRspStatusFlag == SHCI_TL_CMD_RESP_RELEASE) // <---- looping here { break; } } return; } This could be result of multiple reasons. Some things I have tested are:1. Use STM32CubeProgrammer to flash stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin to address 0x080EC000 stm32wb5x_BLE_HCILayer_fw.bin to address 0x080E0000and set application code target address to 0x08000000as per release notesCubeProgrammer is able to read FUS infos and also start wireless stack2. I just read this document : https://www.st.com/content/dam/specialevents-assets/dc22/pdf/room-3-1-stdevcon22-session-nfc-for-wireless-charging.pdfIn page 13, there are two daughter boards, one based on ST25R3916 (NFC reader) and the other based on ST25DV-I2C (NFC dynamic tag). Both use STM32L476 as motherboard. In the following pages, they demonstrated an 286mw power transfer with the small antenna on boards. Which is a nice result. My question: does ST sell the two daughter boards and provide code and hardware design files as an official reference design? Or there are other kit for evaluating this solution? We are looking for a reference design based on STM32R3916/ST25DV-I2C. Also we are planning to use this solution in our medical device project.

i want to read every 10 seconds a few samples from a adc channel and let the dma bring the data to my variables.i have that working with 1 sample. the timer trigger the adc. adc trigger the dma channel and my HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback get called and the adc channel value is in the data variables. i can do this also with 2 channels. good.now i want read 2 or 4 samples from the adc channel. i can setup the timing there with the adc setup. thats ok.i want trigger the sampling every 10sek then read fast 2 or 4 samples. exact timing not relevant just fast.  but if i setup this  for 2 samples, the completion callback is now only called every 20 seks.  .. i think the adc does not trigger the dma 2x for the 2 samples , but only 1x and so the dma need 2 timer triggers until I have my 2 samples complete and so it takes 20secs instead of the 10sek.  please show a init of the adc so i can get 2 or 4 samples per timer trigger.i need help with setup combination: //hadc2.

Hi,first time using TouchGFX and I have been going through various tutorials but cannot find one that shows how to use TouchGFX Designer with a partial TouchGFX project set of files (first screenshot) generated by CubeMX (.touchgfx.part file extension and not a .touchgfx file). But instead of generating the 800 x 800 resolution, it generates a 32 x 32 pixel screen in the .touchgfx.part file (and opens a 32 x 32 pinxel canvas/screen also when that file is opened in TouchGFX Designer). I don't want to edit it manually just in case there are other settings in the files generated in the other folders that might be affected by this manual change. This is the CubeMX generated file:  { "Application": { "Name": "Display V1", "TouchGfxPath": "../Middlewares/ST/touchgfx", "AvailableColorDepths": [ 16 ], "AvailableLCDs": { "16": "LCD16bpp" }, "AvailableResolutions": [ { "Width": 32, "Height": 32 } ], "PostGenerateTargetCommand": "touchgfx update_project", "Fami

Hi,looking at the screenshot below of CubeMX in the LTDC, the total Width and total Height are non-editable (i.e. auto calculated) but they are one pixel less? For example, for the attached display datasheet:- Horizontal Sync Width (Editable) = 8 pixels- Horizontal Back Porch (Editable) = 7 pixels- Active width (Editable) = 800 pixels- Horizontal Front Porch (Editable) = 6 pixelsSo the total is 821 pixels instead of 820. But CubeMX displays 820 and it is not editable.Did I miss something? Do I need to change some other setting?Thank you :)

Hello, I am unable to connect to STM32L562-DK via STM32CubeProgrammer , and when I do I get this error message13:12:59 : Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_NOT_HALTED)Could someone please help me rectify this issue, Thanks

Guys, I need help with ADC on STM32F407ZGTx. I have a project where I read 2 channels, ADC3_IN4 and ADC3_IN15. Since I need a function that has pin ADC3_IN15, I changed it to ADC3_IN8.The problem is that I don't know what it is about STM32F407ZGTx, at least mine, that makes a difference in the reading. On IN15, I had ranges from 54 to 920 in the final read value (this is the correct range). However, on IN8, reading the same voltage levels, it is reading from 64 to 706. In addition to giving me incorrect ranges (for example, in the middle of the reading, it should give me 313, but it is giving me 460, which is the value that I read with IN15 and which is correct). Are there any differences in the inputs? I've looked in several places, the STM32F407ZGTx manual, AN's, etc., and nothing, no one says anything. I tried DMA, nothing either. If I go back to IN15, the reading becomes constant and correct again.Attached is an image of the configuration on the STM32CUBEIDE.PS: I checked the val

Is it possible to write our own firmware for STA8135GA IC? I want to get the raw measurements from the baseband IC in STA8135GA and implement my own navigation algorithm and load the firmware to the IC. Is this possible?

Hi everyone, I'm currently working with the GNSS1A1 expansion-board based on Teseo-LIV3F module for a project. I have read that SBAS can be enabled on this module but I'm struggling to achieve it. I have tested to send some commands found in the doc, but first of all, I didn't get messages from the module like $PSTMSETPAROK, and secondly, the GPGGA message only shows the fix "1" (I think 2 is what I need).Maybe I didn't understand something about GPGGA messages or how to send the command, here's the line of code I used: if (GNSS1A1_GNSS_Init(GNSS1A1_TESEO_LIV3F) != BSP_ERROR_NONE) {Error_Handler();} if (GNSS_PARSER_Init(&parsed_GNSSData) != GNSS_PARSER_OK) {Error_Handler();} GNSS1A1_GNSS_Msg_t nmea_message;//char *cmmd = "$PSTMSBASONOFF*57\r\n";char *cmmd = "$PSTMSETPAR,1135,15*19\r\n";nmea_message.buf = cmmd;nmea_message.len = (uint16_t)(strlen(cmmd));if (GNSS1A1_GNSS_Send(GNSS1A1_TESEO_LIV3F, &nmea_message) != BSP_ERROR_NONE){Error_Hand

Hello,I am working with the STM32L432KCU6 microcontroller and noticed that it includes a 32.768 kHz crystal. I would like to confirm whether there is a separate crystal for high-speed operation or if an external high-speed crystal needs to be added. Could someone clarify this for me? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!Nikunj

Hello,I am working on a project where a device is updated using dfu-util and utilizes the DFU driver from the STM32Cube(Programmer) drivers subdirectory. I would like to distribute these drivers to my customers and need to know, for the FOSS Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), what license is used for these files. I understand that stm32bootloader.inf and cat are licensed by STM under the SLA0048 license. Is that correct? However, what license is used for files such as WdfCoInstaller01009.dll and winusbcoinstaller2.dll? Where can I find the license information for these files? Are those property of Microsoft or STM?Is this the appropriate place to ask this question, or would there be a better forum for it?Thank you and regards,Ben

I just bought this board and actually i have no idea what type it is. In the box there was product card for Nucleo-32 and that is definitely no Nucleo-32. Somebody know what exactly this is? Please Help!

Hello, everyone!I've been searching for an answer to this question for a long time, but so far without success.I have an STM32F410 and would like to use a timer to trigger ADC readings. However, TRGO does not appear as an option for the ADC trigger source. What am I missing?

Hello, For some time the CubeIDE ioc editor looks like this: How can I fix it? BR, Roman!

Hi, I am setting up a p2p Client and p2p Server example using 2x B-WB1M-WPAN1 boards. There is no example I can find for the B-WB1M-WPAN1 so I have taken the Nucleo example and modified to suit the B-WB1M-WPAN1. I cannot connect the p2p Server to the p2p Client. Here is where I am at:- P2P Server is operational and available on the ST BLE Toolbox phone app. - P2P Server advertising settings as below- P2P Client is running and a button press will initiate a scan as below.  Questions:1. Does the p2p_Client application apply a device filter to the scan procedure, and if so what is being filtered and where can I modify this filter to find my device? Could this be my issue?2. In future I would like to only connect to devices with a specific ID, where could I set this ID and is there an automatic re-connect capability if the ID is fixed? Thank you for any help.

Hi,Im currently working on a project with an STM32L452 that uses a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) as the Low-Speed External (LSE) clock source. The TCXO is responsible for clocking the RTC. To fully calibrate the TCXO, I have designed the hardware in such a way that I can fine-tune the input capacitance of the oscillation signal line using a trimmer capacitor. In order to adjust the trimmer capacitor properly, I need to measure the period duration of the signal. My plan is to use a frequency counter for this measurement. Specifically, I would like to connect the frequency counter to pin PB2, which can be configured as RTC_OUT. Unfortunately, I cannot use the default PC13 pin for this purpose due to other design constraints.According to the reference manual, enabling the RTC_OUT function on PB2 should simply require setting two bits: the COE bit in the RTC->CR register and the RTC_OUT_RMP bit in the RTC->OR register.Despite following these steps, Im not seeing an

Hi,Anybody from ST or Users done any development or research on the "new" relay node on the STM32WL.Will the stack be updated or will we have to do this on our own?RegardsStefan

On the STEL12H24, but am not sure about the calculation for Rbleed:I am designing a 12V system.RBLEED [kΩ] = VIN / 20 – Rb (min)Rb would be about 95Ω (from Figure 14 in the datasheet)That would make Rbleed 12/(20-95) = -160Ω (negative makes no sense)But according to Table 2, Rbleed is minimum of 560?Can you clarify this please?

Hi, I'm working on an OTA BLE bootloader for the STM32WB5MM module.I created from scratch with STM32CubeMX the same code as the OTA example for NUCLEO-WB55.I'm on BLE stack 1.21So far so good, I can update with the smartphone app.The problem I'm having is that at the end, after receiving the BLE reset in the OTA, the microcontroller reboots correctly in the customer firmware, but remains stuck at CPU2 initialization, when hci_reset() is called in the Ble_Hci_Gap_Gatt_Init() function. The power supply must be removed for CPU2 to work. After this action, the customer firmware is working properly.A reset via the RESET pin does not improve the situation.I found several similar messages about this:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/issue-in-ble-stack-advertisement-after-jumping-with-bootloader/m-p/63165https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/stm32wb-cpu1-stuck-waiting-cpu2-at-init/td-p/80505https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/stm32wb5mmg-cpu2-stuck-in-non-dis

Hello, If I put my new machine conf and device tree in meta-st-stm32mp-addons I can compile device tree and my image without any error. But if I use my own layer meta-my-layer (in meta-st), machine config is used but I have this message : | make[2]: *** No rule to make target 'arch/arm/boot/dts/st/stm32mp153c-linux-platform-mx.dtb'. Stop. I read the forum and documentation but, I don't find a way to have a working project. Could you explain me how to create my own layer to be outside meta-st-stm32mp-addons  (to use my own git) and compile my new machine with associated device tree ?Thank you so much for your help

Hi, I am using UART3 and UART4 interrupts together in STM32G070RBT6TR processor and facing issues.I have inserted my service routines as below. /* USER CODE BEGIN USART3_4_IRQn 0 */ if((USART4->ISR & USART_ISR_TC_Msk) == USART_ISR_TC_Msk){ } if((USART3->ISR & USART_ISR_TC_Msk) == USART_ISR_TC_Msk){ } /* USER CODE END USART3_4_IRQn 0 */ It is possible that, both interrupts can occur any time. It may happen that, one interrupt (USART4) occur while other (USART3) is being served. At the end of service routine both interrupts are getting cleared (with below functions created by CubeMX) and may miss the one which occur later.HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&huart3);HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&huart4);Can you provide me some pointer how to handle this situation? Thanks in advance. Hi everyone, I am currently trying to get a lsm6dsox to interface with a Nordic nRF52833 board using i2c communication. I am looking to read accelerometer/gyro values. I am able to write to the sensor but I am unable to read from the sensor without receiving a NMAK.  I am using the STEVAL-MKI217V1 adapter board to connect to my nRF52833. I have connected the VDD/VDDIO pins to VCC, my SCL/SDA pins to the pins I configured for i2c communication, I have connected CS to VDD, GND pins to GND, and SDO to ground.  This is my result from the Logic analyzer   This is my source code: Main.c: /* * Copyright (c) 2020 Yestin Sun * * SPDX-License-Identifier: Apache-2.0 */ #include <stdio.h> #include <zephyr/kernel.h> #include <zephyr/device.h> #include <zephyr/drivers/sensor.h> static inline float out_ev(struct sensor_value *val) { return (val->val1 + (float)val->val2 / 1000000); } static void fetch_and_display(const struct device *dev) { st

Hi,I've a board, now a nucleo-u575zi-q but i'm waiting for a custum boad based on same MCU. I need this serie for the low power functionalities. In next phase of project , in this board i need an ethernet port where run web and tcp server. I found some good examples about these features but are all based on different series of MCU. There are examples based on STM32F and H series, both have a specific set of pins to manage the ethernet connection defined as ETH block.  They use Azure or Freertos with or without Lwip in conjunction with Lan8742 component as physical interface. My question is: can i use the same eth components, hw and sw, also with STM32U5 series? The functionalities used in eth micro block can be replicated, are only gpio pins to configure?, in U series ? In this way i can start from examples already present or i need to change MCU to have eth port on board? Thanks

Hello everyone,I’m looking for recommendations on setting up an NFC system that meets the following requirements. I’m aiming to keep the project as cost-effective as possible, and I would like to utilize both NFC readers and chips. I’d appreciate any insights on suitable NFC reader types (e.g., NFC Type 4) as well as potential components or modules from STM32.NFC Reader Requirements:Anticollision System: The NFC reader must support anticollision to handle multiple tags being present in the field at once. This is essential for our use case, where multiple tags may need to be read simultaneously.Inductive Change Detection: I’m interested in whether the reader can detect inductive changes (though I suspect this might be challenging since only one antenna or line is connected to the reader at a time, especially with multiplexing). To work around this, I’m considering the possibility of periodically switching between antennas and continuously scanning.Mobile Compatibility: The NFC reader sh

Hello, I am implementing I2C slave device with STM32G431. Using DMA with HAL library, it works well as expected in normal situation. It normally get ready to receive runningHAL_I2C_Slave_Receive_DMA(&hi2c1, (uint8_t *)aRxBuffer, rx_length)and handles request atvoid HAL_I2C_SlaveRxCpltCallback(I2C_HandleTypeDef *I2cHandle)If response is requested, response is set ready to send byHAL_I2C_Slave_Transmit_DMA(&hi2c1, (uint8_t *)aTxBuffer, tx_length) And in error cases, reset I2C by HAL_I2C_Init(&hi2c1), and ready to receive again by HAL_I2C_Slave_Receive_DMA. But I can't handle if the master want to read unexpectedly. Without previous command asking to prepare data to respond, the master (another STM32 board) starts read sequence,> HAL_I2C_Master_Receive(&hi2c1, 0xA1, aRxBuffer, 1, 1000);Both SDA & SCL go low after I2C address is sent from master and ACK, until the slave powered off. I guess that the slave is in clock stretching.
