I used Cude IDE version 1.18.1. successfully then upgraded and wrote the second project (timer). I'm using Nucelo-64 STM32 F411RE with clock rate 84Mhz.  My new project is to use the TIM4 with the settings: PSC: 8399, CP: 10000 to toggle the LED per second. The LED doesn't turn on/off whatsoever. (My prior project - to use the user button - doesn't work either!)My files: lib.hpp:  #ifndef INC_LIB_HPP_ #define INC_LIB_HPP #if __cplusplus extern "C" { #endif void run(); void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t); void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *); #if __cplusplus } #endif #endiflib.cpp:#include "main.h" #include "lib.hpp" #include <stdio.h> auto pressed = 0u; auto flag = false; void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { if(GPIO_Pin == B1_Pin) flag = true; else flag = false; } void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GPIO_Port,LED_Pin); } void run() { while (1) { if(flag){ pres

I am working with a custom board I designed using this display(LINK) They provide init codes on the product page that I have integrated into my project but they do not provide any any porch, timing or polarity information.  I first setup LTDC and the DSI host and was able to display a solid color on the display by generating a frame buffer in code and setting each pixel.  I then moved on to integrating touchGFX and was also able to get that working fairly easily but the display is mirrored on the x-axis as shown here:The display is using a ST7701s controller, I found the MADCTL register in the datasheet that I believe should be able to mirror the display but I am not getting the expected output. Here is how I am writing to this register HAL_DSI_ShortWrite(&hdsi, 0, DSI_DCS_SHORT_PKT_WRITE_P1, 0x36, 0x10); And this is the output after doing so I have verified the ability to write to this register by setting the "BGR" bit to a 1 and the display

I’m using NUCLEO STM32H753ZI.I use ST ID: STM32cudeIDEI have HardFault_Handler when call vTaskStart_Scheduler() using FreeRTOS Could you please let me know how to resolve this issue? Hi,i am currently trying to implement OTA Update capabilities in my own custom board based on a WB55CGU6.So i flashed the BLE_Ota app to its desired sectors. The bootloader is starting and spawning the BLE Update Service correctly.Now i take my custom app binary and flash it. After flash -> The new firmware starts properly and is running smoothly.Now i implemented sth like this:If a user button on my board is pressed (boot to OTA) it should boot to the OTA Loader.I have done this with the following code snippet:*(uint32_t*)SRAM1_BASE = CFG_REBOOT_ON_BLE_OTA_APP; NVIC_SystemReset();Now the device was doing a reboot, but it does not spawn my BLE OTA Update Service anymore...I checked the SRAM1 address 0x2000000 and there is a 01. After hard debugging this stuff somehow with blinking an LED on the board (from the OTA Firmware) i figured out that it seems to get stuck at the point where it waits for the SHCI / HCI command (wireless fw ready). This event never seem to happen :( so

Hi all!On an STM32 project I'm working on, I want my USB port (USB C in that case) to work either in Host Mode or in Device Mode, depending on a menu change from the user. For added context, this is for a MIDI project in which the MC will either use USB Host or USB Device as a means of communication.It appears the mode is determined by the state of Pin PA13 (SYS_JTMS_SWDIO), but I would rather do everything in software, as the USB connection will be the same (the implementation will differ between the two).Also, when I set the USB mode to OTH/Dual_Role_Device, all of the USB files are being deleted. Should I just save the files used in Host_Only and in Device_Only in another folder, or is there a cleaner way to have both implementations at the same time? If I need to code everything from scratch, I would love to have some pointers on where to begin.Thanks in advance!

I’m working on a design where I need to communicate with two SPI devices that operate at different logic levels:1) A sensor running at 1.8v logic (need SPI + 2 other lines, all at 1.8v) 2) Everything else on my board, preferably running at 3.3v, I will need CAN, UART, and another SPI. I’m trying to avoid level shifters if possible (and avoid sourcing 1.8 V CAN/UART transceivers). Ideally, I’d like to use an STM32 that has split power domains, both with SPI peripherals. So far, I’ve found that the STM32L496QI supports SPI on both the main VDD rail and the VDDIO2 rail (which can be independently run at 1.8 V), which fits the bill. The only issue is that it’s a 100-pin part, which is way more than I need for this design.What I’m looking for:STM32 with VDDIO2 or similarSPI on both 1.8V and 3.3V-capable banksPreferably 64 pins or lessThanks, Sameer

I'm looking for some guidance on using DMA with SPI. I have the M4 core on an STM32H755 set up as a master in full duplex mode, and as long as I invoke the SPI transfer using interrupts, the program runs fine. When I try to migrate to DMA, however, I note that the program is successful on the first pass only, triggering the callback, etc., but on the second time through, I always get an error, apparently because the transmit is still busy (?) I have used SPI and DMA often before without incident, but I don't know what else to check in this case. Any insights are appreciated. See the screen shots of where the code is finally failing. Line 2508 is in the HAL SPI driver C file, the point at which the driver attempts to start the DMA with IT, and the second shot shows the result of this call in the HAL DMA file, line 695. Thanks

Hi,I have STM32H757I-EVAL board which has MB1166 Rev A LCD daughter board. I tried to find which display controller is used with this LCD display. I had gone through the MB1166 schematics which shows 2 options  1. KM-040TMP-02 2. FRD397B2509I got confused which one to consider.And I found different in example code which is OTM8009A. Which display driver used exactly in this board? Thanks,Satheesh

hi, cube ide updated with latest version  1.19.0 have bug as below picture . By default quad spi is disabled and i could able to select quad spi in older version cube mx by using old project and continue with old cube mx version not migrate .

Hello Everyone,I’m using sensorless FOC to control a BLDC motor with 3-shunt current sensing for closed-loop control. At startup, the motor slightly moves backward before starting to rotate in the correct (forward) direction. I understand this is likely due to the lack of initial rotor position information. There are no position or speed sensors involved—everything is handled via FOC and current feedback.I verified that 6-step control on the same hardware supports Initial Position Detection (IPD), although I haven’t tested it yet. That said, I am not switching to 6-step control. I want to stay with FOC and retain the 3-shunt topology for current sensing in closed-loop mode.My questions:Is there a way to prevent this backward motion using FOC only?If IPD is the only viable solution, how can I integrate IPD into the FOC framework, using my current hardware setup (STM32F401RE + 3-shunt topology)?Can I reuse the 6-step IPD logic just for startup, and then transition into FOC with 3-sh

Hi,what i need to do, if i want to build the Debug app of BLE_Ota Demo application (FW 1.23.0)If i import the BLE_Ota app there is only "Release".If i now click on Debug as STM32 Application, the fw is uploaded but then in the Breakpoint i just get the following:In this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRzZOa3jmuM&t=389sthere seems to be a "Debug" config for this project - But i can not see this in my IDE.

Dear sir/Mam While analyzing the reset handler code within the bl2.elf binary from Arm Trusted Firmware, we observed that the label S3_15_C2_C1_1 is being referenced in the cortex_a35_reset_func. We would like to request your clarification on the following points:Could you please confirm whether S3_15_C2_C1_1 refers to a system register?If so, is S3_15_C2_C1_1  the official name of the register?Additionally, we would appreciate your guidance on where this register is documented and how it can be accessed (e.g., using MSR/MRS instructions or through a specific architectural feature of the Cortex-A35). Thanks & RegardsAkshitha Pattem

Hi @stm32 I have a STM32U5G9 chip connected to a NOR_FLASH Memory MX25UM51245G using OctoSPI. I created an External Loader for the setup, but unable to read/write using the stm32 programmer. The custom driver I developed for the particular flash is proved to work with the same hardware setup, so i can confirm that the bridging between the working driver and the STM2Programmer is somewhat missing. Steps I Followed to create the Loader are:1) Created a CubeMx project for stm32U5 with OctoSPI enabled in my case.2) Manually copied the loader files from the link https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader/tree/contrib/Loader_Files and also integrated my custom driver for the particular NOR_FLASH. The driver is tested and verified separately,So it works.3) In the build configurations, pasted the command cmd.exe /C copy /Y "${BuildArtifactFileBaseName}.elf" "..\${BuildArtifactFileBaseName}.stldr" to create stldr. After further debug

Hello.I would like to know the maximum Tj value of L78.I think the junction temperature of silicon semiconductors is generally 150°C, but the data sheet states that the operating junction temperature range is 0 to 125°C for L78 and 0 to 150°C for L79.The solid line in Figure 31 of the data sheet seems to go up to 150°C,but is the starting point for thermal design 125°C?Thank you in advance.

Hello Team，I found both STTH20003TV1 and STTH20003TV are available on the market.Unfortunately, I cannot find STTH20003TV1 in ST datasheet.STTH20003 - 300 V, 200 A Ultrafast Diode - STMicroelectronicsCould you provide the difference between STTH20003TV1 and STTH20003TV?What's the meaning of suffix '1' in the part number?Many thanks!Robert

hello everybody:    l'm currently debugging the FOC motor with MC Workbench. Now I have generate the code with the open loop configuration. According to the user mannual, I can use the APIs in the code as follows:------------------------------------Firmware Usage via APIsStep 1 : Choose Open Loop mode using MCI_SetOpenLoopVoltageMode(&Mci[motorID]) or MCI_SetOpenLoopCurrentMode(&Mci[motorID]) functions (MCI_SetOpenLoopCurrent and MCI_SetOpenLoopVoltage should be considered as deprecated there will be removed in the future).Step 2 (Open Loop Voltage Mode only) : Set Voltage reference via OL_UpdateVoltage(&OpenLoop_ParamsMx,((Voltage_Reference * 32767) / 100)) function.Step 2 bis (Open Loop Current Mode only) : Set Current reference via MCI_SetCurrentReferences(&Mci[motorID], Iqd) function. Mind that Iqd is a qd_t struct that needs to be given Id and Iq as parameters. Id is Flux Reference, whereas Iq is usually 0.Step 3 :

Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask. I'm currently working on interfacing an SD Card with a nucleo f767. I used the DS-Bits in CR2 to set the data frame to 8 Bit (what also should be the reset value). Despite that, MOSI always sends the whole data register, which is 16 Bits. So if I use the function below to send 0xFF, the hardware will send 0x00FF. Does anybody know this issue? uint8_t spi_txrx(uint8_t b) {  while (!(SPI3->SR & SPI_SR_TXE));  SPI3->DR = b;  while (!(SPI3->SR & SPI_SR_RXNE));  return SPI3->DR;}

Hello,We are using 128MHz clock in our board. Can any of the buffer in this 54AC164245 devices be used as a clock buffer for this clock? We will directly feed 128MHz crystal clock oscillator output to one of the input pin and the output clock coming out of it will be used as an input clock for the processor.Does 54AC164245 support 128MHz?

Hello ST team,Thank you very much for your previous help with debugging TOF. We have now selected the TOFL1CX and TOFL1CB as our distance measurement sensors. However, we have encountered a problem: both TOF models have already been soldered onto the PCB, and we cannot tell which one is TOFL1CX and which one is TOFL1CB. We would like to distinguish the two TOFs by reading their IDs, but for some reason, the IDs read out are identical. Is there any way to distinguish between these two TOF models? Their appearance also seems identical.At the same time, I am a bit confused: are these two TOFs considered as high-end and low-end versions? According to the datasheet, the main difference is the measurement range, and TOFL1CX does not support multi-target detection (but I found that running TOFL1CB’s code on the TOFL1CX also works and provides multi-target output), whereas TOFL1CB officially supports multi-target.Thank you in advance for your reply.Below is the code segment I used to get the I
