hello i am making a custom STM32F405RGT6 board for A DUAL_BLDC_FOC VESC project that am making. i looked up how to programme the chip and it seems i needed to generate the code using STM32cubeMX  after instaling the X-CUBE-MCSDK embeded software package then opening it on STM32cubeIDE.  but i could't find it even after downloading the latest STM32F405RGT6 MCU PACKAGE and refreshing it multiple times; then i downloaded the X-CUBE-MCSDK6 and it seems the custom stm32F405RGT6 is not suported on the workbench; when i tried to import the (.zip) file it showed an error window. is the F405RGT6 motor control software no longer supported by the new version of the stm32cube? if so what version should i download to find it?

I would like to use the ACST series as an AC switch for a 90kHz AC capacitive load. Is this possible?

Hi All,I am writing a code to generate an PWM at output. I want to drive an H-bridge outside. All initializations I have done.I am using TIM1 (advanced timer) for this purpose. I am using STM32F Discovery Board (Microcontroller is STM32F407) and STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0  The issue I am facing is whenever I get an interrupt i tried to load value from the LUT but its not working and generate unexpected PWM at output but when I load any fix value then PWM is generated at the output.I am wondering why it is not generating the PWM from LUT.below is my code. kindly tell me what I am doing wrong volatile uint16_t sineIndex = 0; #define SINE_TABLE_SIZE 10 uint16_t sineTable[SINE_TABLE_SIZE] = {400, 657, 794, 746, 537, 263, 54, 6, 143, 400}; int main(){ HAL_Init(); System_Clock_Source(); UART2_Init(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_TIM1_Init(); // Here all the settings are done related to PWM timings MX_TIM2_Init(); SPWM_Start(); } void MX_GPIO_Init(void) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStr

Hi,I'm trying to import an ioc file for STM32MP257f-ev1. The original project was build on CubeMx 6.13 for MAC-OS using FW_MP2_V1.0.0 and I'm using CubeMx 6.13 under linux. When I open the .ioc file, It asked me if I want to migrate to FW_MP2_V1.1.0 or continue with the current version. If I choose to migrate everthing goes fine, but I continue with current package version CubeMX stack during the "Render UI" progress bar phase.Could someone help me?Marco. This is got the error log I got on terminal:Spoiler (Highlight to read)[FATAL] ProcessBarDialog:168 - ProcessBarDialog action 4java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "String.equals(Object)" because the return value of "com.st.microxplorer.mcu.IP.getParameterValue(String, String)" is nullat java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.report(FutureTask.java:122) ~[?:?]at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.get(FutureTask.java:191) ~[?:?]at javax.swing.SwingWorker.get(SwingWorker.java:612) ~[?:?]at com.st.m

Hello everybody, I would like to know when the VBUS voltage measurement is updated. I am using the functions to read the voltage:VBS_GetBusVoltage_dVBS_GetAvBusVoltage_VI am using the threads startMediumFrequencyTask, StartSafetyTask, and my own thread. At system startup, I want to load a buffer. But the measurements taken are incorrect or zero at the board startup. Is there any documentation on the acquisitions? MCSDK : 6.4.1Best regards.

Hi,Been a while :) Seeing some odd readings after the sensor has no real changes.  After some time when a change in the sensor distance happens it "seems" to take many readings to get good readings. Is there a sleep I don't know about? What is the recommended way to "wake up" the sensor if it has been dormant for some time......or am I imagining this? Thanks,Will

Hello everyone,I am fairly new to embedded so bear with me. I am trying to understand bare metal programming. So basically I managed to turn on the LED on soldiered on the board (PA5) but now am trying to create a delay using basic timer TIM6. My issue is that the LED is barely turning on for a very brief moment before turning off. I think my issue lies in how I am configuring the prescaler and auto-reload register. I looked up online and it says that the default clock speed is 16MHz, but I did not configure any clock source. Here is my code down below which I used the reference manual to write: GPIOA->ODR |= (1<<5); // Turning on LED // Initialize TIM6RCC->APB1ENR|=(1<<4);TIM6->CR1|=(1<<0);TIM6->PSC=16000-1;TIM6->ARR=1000-1;TIM6->CNT=0; while(!(TIM6->SR & (1<<0))){}TIM6->SR&=~(1<<0);TIM6->CR1&=~(1<<0); GPIOA->ODR &= ~(1<<5); //Turning off LED  Thank you.

I am going to rebuild STM32DDRFW-UTIL Firmware to do DDR Test on my custom hardware. I looked at this document: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32DDRFW-UTIL/blob/main/README.mdin section 1.2.3.3 Customization, it mentions about using STM32CubeMX to generate the DDR Templete (stm32mp2xx-ddr4-2x16Gbits-2x16bits-template.h). Unfortunately, I tried the device tree generation function from STM32CubeMx; there was no DDR templete was generated. Is there any instruction to generate the DDR templete?

When using the VL53L1CB for ranging, we want to achieve lower power consumption by reducing the measurement frame rate. I performed the following two experiments:A 50ms measurement budget (integration time) followed by a 50ms waiting period.A 50ms measurement budget followed by a 100ms waiting period.I observed that the power consumption in both scenarios is nearly identical, with no significant difference. Using a photodetector, we confirmed that the ToF sensor's light emission time aligns with the measurement budget; a 50ms integration time results in approximately 50ms of light emission, confirming my parameter settings are effective. The power consumption curve shows that the power level remains high even after the ToF sensor has finished emitting light. How can we reduce the power consumption during the waiting interval between measurements (without shutting down the sensor)? If shutting down the sensor after each measurement achieves lower power consumption, what is the reason for

Hello!I am using the VL53L4CD TOF Sensor as sold by Adafruit. I am running it with the circuit patched together as described in the example file VL53L4CD_Sat_HelloWorld.ino, also with the exact code (the only change being the port number). I am using an Arduino R4 WiFi. When I start the unit up, it runs normally for a bit (<1 min), and then stops.Starting... hi, i am trying to attach a Touch Sensor header file  with touchGFX STM32TouchController.cpp file but it's showing error .the Touch_Sensor.h & Touch_Sensor.c file are include project file and further included via path location ( Properties ->General -> path.).

I am successfully using all the SWV debugging functionality in STM32CubeIDE except for the ITM functionality, as described in UM1609 and in the advanced debugging videos on youtube from ST.I have both tried overriding the "_write " function in main.cpp or replacing "__IO_putchar" with "ITM_SendChar" in syscalls.c, but I don't see any output when using printf and ITM port 0 (described in video 4 and section 4.3.5 in UM1609).I have further tested sending output to ITM port 31, as described in video 5, but still cannot see any output. Some details and further questionsSWO is left unconnected - Do I need to connect the SWO to some other pin to make ITM work?I am running at 180 MHz clock speed - Is this too fast for ITM?Does it matter if I compile for cpp rather than c?Are there any benefits to updating an ITM port, like in video 5, rather than updating a global variable and observing the execution order by looking at a graph in a SWV Data Trace Timeline Graph or in CubeMonitor?Any further s

Hi all, I’m using an ST25R3916 with RFAL on an STM32 and I’m trying to talk to an NXP NTAG 5 Boost (ISO15693/NFC-V) using its custom commands: READ/WRITE SRAM (0xD2/0xD3) and READ/WRITE I²C (0xD5/0xD4). Plain ISO15693 commands work fine (e.g., ReadSingleBlock / WriteSingleBlock). For example, reading config block 0x37 returns:     REQ: flags 0x22, CMD 0x20, UID=<8 bytes>, DATA=0x37 RSP: 00 08 DB CF 00 Now I’d like to send the NXP customs via rfalNfcvPollerTransceiveReq(), but I’m not getting a response (often RFAL_ERR_TIMEOUT). What I’m calling now For customs I call rfalNfcvPollerTransceiveReq(cmd, flags, param, uid, payload, payloadLen, rx, rxLen, &rcvLen) like this: flags: RFAL_NFCV_REQ_FLAG_DEFAULT (0x02, high data rate, no option bit) param: 0x04 (NXP manufacturer code) uid: 8-byte UID (addressed mode) payload and length per the NTAG 5 Boost datasheet (see below) rx: buffer big enough + checking rcvLen Example (READ SRAM, command 0xD2:

Could you please suggest a PLC module that includes a signal scaling unit and an isolation circuit, equipped with a high-speed sampling ADC with up to 16-bit resolution? The module should also integrate a microcontroller featuring SPI, LAN (Ethernet), SD card storage, and an HDMI port.”

Hi everyone!  I designed the board shown in the attached picture. It’s built around an STM32H745 microcontroller, along with crystal oscillators, a DAC, an EEPROM, and an NE555 that generates a reset signal when a button is pressed long enough.  After assembling the board, I noticed that it draws an unusually high current (over 800 mA). The power supply goes into compliance and reduces the voltage, while the microcontroller itself becomes very hot to the touch. I noticed that the current rises with time to the compliance and over.To troubleshoot, I removed all external components (oscillators, DAC, EEPROM, transistors, and NE555), leaving only the microcontroller, but the excessive current consumption persists. I’ve checked carefully and I’m quite confident there are no shorts on the board.  When I connect via ST-Link using STM32CubeProgrammer, the tool successfully detects and identifies the MCU. However, within a few seconds, the connection drops because

Hello,I am designing a board with a STM32F446 connected to an IS42S16160H SDRAM through the FMC interface.Could you please provide ST’s official recommendations regarding the use of series resistors on FMC lines?Typical values (22–33 Ω)?Any ST guideline or application note available? Thanks,Rihem

The goal of my project is to turn on an LED on the recieving side through CAN. Both my reciever and transmitter have the transciever circuit. Both are Nucleo boards, TX: F303RE, RX: F446RE. The data i am sending through is 16-bit, but as long as my reciever is not in reset copnstantly (as in me holding the reset button when the program is running), the transmitted and recieved data is not correct, its far to short. The data is the same on TX and RX, but wrong. But when i hold reset on the reciever the data that comes through looks right.  I cant figure out what the problem is, i have measured the connections on the transcievers a million times, measured the RX, TX pin, CAN_H and L and always come back to the same issue.  I am programming the boards in Cube_IDE. The pictures below are of the boards and the signals i recieve. Please help. I dont see how this could be a hardware problem but maybe I missed something, i am still a begginer.    The reciever board is part

My configuration:[VERSION]: MCSDK 6.3.2[TOOL]: MC Workbench, ST MOTOR PilotI am using the HSO on a custom board with an STSPIN32G4 at 15 kHz.The basic algorithm here should be the reciprocal of the bus voltage,  using LPF filtering for result. So the code should be modified as follows. Please help me confirm whether my understanding is incorrect or if there is indeed an error here?

Hello everyone, the STM32F723IEK6 chip on my H755ZI-Q development board is damaged. If I replace it with a brand new MCU, how can I restore the program

Hi everyone, I am trying to reserve a block of RAM using a custom device tree overlay on my STM32MP157F-DK2 running Linux. Here's what I have done so far: This is my custom DTS overlay /dts-v1/; /plugin/; / { compatible = "st,stm32mp157f-dk2", "st,stm32mp157"; fragment@0 { target-path = "/reserved-memory"; __overlay__ { sensor_shm: sensor_shm@c8000000 { compatible = "shared-dma-pool"; reg = <0xc8000000 0x00040000>; /* 256KB */ no-map; status = "okay"; }; }; }; };   I compiled this to get custom-overlay.dtbo and placed it under /boot/overlays/. Then, I edited the /boot/mmc0_extlinux/stm32mp157f-dk2_extlinux.conf configuration file to include the overlay during boot by adding this line inside the appropriate boot label:   # Generic Distro Configuration file generated by OpenEmbedded menu title Select the boot mode MENU BACKGROUND /splash_portrait.bmp TIMEOUT 20 DEFAULT OpenSTLinux LABEL OpenSTLinux KERNEL /uImage FDTDIR / INITRD /st-image-resize-initrd

1.I have TouchGFX Designer 4.24.2 and STM32CubeMX running on Windows 11.  I downloaded the demos and examples via the file menu, also the latest TouchGFX Generator via CubeMX.  I am targetting a NUCLE0 STM32G071 with GFX01M2($AZ2) display, so I selected the demos for that board, and have tried several of them, giving each a project name and pressing Create.  In each case the progress bar goes to 88% then the program closes. If I restart TouchGFX Designer and try to open the project it has created in "TouchGFX Projects" folder, I get the error "Failed to open native freetype library".  If I manage to import the projects (individually) to STM32CubeIDE (1.17.0) they appear to be missing some header files and do not compile. The configured paths (in project properties) appear to be wrong.I also downloaded TouchGFX 4.22.0, thinking it may be a compatibility issue, but it did the same thing. 2.Is it feasible to run TouchGFX designer on Windows, then import the p
