Posted on July 22, 2017 at 02:47I find when I make a call to HAL_I2C_Slave_Receive_IT it returns HAL_OK but it never manages to call the callback function, my HAL_I2C_SlaveRxCpltCallback(I2C_HandleTypeDef *I2cHandle) implementation.Using a logic analyzer, I find that the device never acks the address and instead holds the clock line low till the device is reset.I find if I use the synchronous api, HAL_I2C_Slave_Receive it ACKs and get's data just fine. Also I am using the latest version of the STM32CubeMX + Keil ARM-MDK.Any ideas? Thanks

Posted on July 24, 2017 at 20:37Hello,The current version 2.8.0, and the pre-release version V2.9.0RC4 floating around in the forum, do not support the STM32F423 CPU. There is no map file for this CPU. Is there an updated pre-release of the program that you can share with the support for this CPU?Note: Even though we don't use the F413 CPU, it's in the same family as the F423, and support for this CPU is not present as well. Thanks

Posted on June 29, 2017 at 17:15The mantissa in USART_BRR is 12-bit i.e. its maximum value is 4095. That limits accordingly the minimum attainable baudrate for given APB frequency. The following values in example tables are thus invalid and those baudrates (1200/2400Baud, quite common in various environments) can't be achieved at those particular APB-clock setups.Found out the hard way - on a 16-sampling USART1 at the maximum APB2 the USART supposed to work at 1200 Baud was working at almost 19200 Baud, as the mantisa of baudrate divider was 0x117 instead of the required 0x1117.Instead of those lengthy and quite useless tables, those limits should be highlighted in the UM, and formulas to calculate the limits and the errors should be given; and then a more detailed explanation should go to a well-crafted AN, which can then house the extensive tables, too, and even more. Posted on July 25, 2017 at 18:04Hi all,I am try to use STM32F407VG discovery kit to read 5 encoder. I use TIM_HandleTypeDef and TIM_Encoder_InitTypeDef lib to read one encoder successfully. When I use the same code to read two encoders, I found that it doesn't work. Do anyone know that can I use this lib to read multiple encoder? Do anyone have any example code. Thank you.

Posted on July 26, 2017 at 05:23Hi all,I'm working on a STM32F7 discovery board. UDP sending data at high rates, as well as debug messages is working fine.I'm trying to get the UDP echo example workig, and I notice there is a HUGE delay (order of 10s of seconds) for the echo to return. So far what I have:Using ncat to send string to IP + port.LED1 toggles when an Ethernet message arrives ('Enter' on ncat). That works fine, as soon as I send the message out the LED1 toggles.LED2 toggles when the receive function (pointer to in udp_recv) sends out the echo message. Now, when I receive a message, the udp_recv function does not call immediately, and that is were the delay is (I think), between data arrival on the ethernet interface and passing it up to the application. If I wait (order ~ 10 seconds or more) the echo is returned. After 3 or 4 tries, the delay gets much longer. However, the data is inside the micro, because if I send two consecutive packets from ncat, the first packet gets e

Posted on January 24, 2017 at 13:54Hello,I'm working on an energy meter system using STPM33. I designed and assembled PCB. For testing I wanted to use STPM3x Evaluation Software. I can communicate with STPM, I can read and write registers. To see if it works properly I wanted to measure power and energy drawn by 100W resistive load (with phase angle close to 0 or cosp ~= 1) from ACmains (230V RMS, 50Hz). Below is a screen from evaluation software: Voltage RMS and power (both WB and FUND) calculation appear to be OK (230V and around 100W). However current RMS value is too small, approximately 2 times smaller than it should (430mA measured in with ampere meter in circuit). I'm using 10mOhm shunt resistor as current sensor. To verify that I took C1 RMS Data [16:0] from dsp_reg14 (entire register value is 00D319E7) and using Table 15 (STPM3x current voltage LSB values) from STPM3x datasheet and chapters 1.4.2.1 and 1.4.2.2 from UM2066 User Manual (Getting started with the STPM3x) and

Posted on July 21, 2017 at 01:50Hi All,I'm using the advanced timer TIM1 on STM32303VC to drive a 2 phase shifted full bridges separated by a transformer (Dual Active Bridge topology). This required use of 4 PWMs. CH1 and CH1N drive the primary bridge. CH3 and CH3N drive the secondary bridge. The question is I need to program independent dead times (for CH1-CH1N and CH3-CH3N). Is that possible? Because the LL APIs have only one dead time configuration value per Timer. If it's not possible what is the workaround? This is a make or break situation for my converter.Regards,Vivek#phase-shift #advanced-timers #timer-synchronization

Posted on July 25, 2017 at 01:56Thank you for your patronage. I'm Japanese student. Sorry for my poor English.I'm using STM32F334Nucleo.Nucleo's PA 3 terminal indicates about 3.3 V in ADC in a situation where nothing is connected. On the other hand, the PA0 terminal shows about 0V in the AD conversion in a situation where nothing is connected. Why do these two differ?

Posted on July 21, 2017 at 12:02i have stm32l152c- discovery board. i connected the +5v pin to the ground pin and now it seems work on very low power mode and ld1 not lit up and ld2 , ld3 and ld4 lit up very weak. pc not recognize the board. what can i do?

Posted on July 22, 2017 at 00:59I have been using an STM32F030C6 and configuring it with STM32CubeMX and have had success running the chip using the 8MHz HSI and an external 16MHz crystal. I would like to run at 48MHz but I have not had any luck enabling the PLL, at any multiplier. If I enable the PLL in CubeMX, select any multiplier, and upload the unmodified generated code I can only get as far as ''__HAL_RCC_PLL_ENABLE();'' in the debugger (using Atollic TrueStudio free version) before the target stops responding. I get the same result using an internal or external clock source. I have attached a screenshot of my CubeMX clock settings below along with the generated project.Using CubeMX 4.22.0 and STM32F0 1.8.0 firmware package. Are there some other settings that I'm missing somewhere or chip limitations that I am not aware of? #cubemx #stm32f030 #pll

Posted on July 23, 2017 at 03:18Hey All,I'm a bit at my wits end here trying to debug a pesky issue I'm having with a very basic interrupt mode UART transmit. The issue is that when I call HAL_UART_Transmit_IT(), it causes the whole chip to lock up. I've spent literally the entire day running through example code from the STM32CubeMX, looking at tutorials online, stepping through annotated assembly code line by line, reading ST application notes, and haven't yet found the root cause. If someone wouldn't mind taking a quick look at what I have it'd be much appreciated. I could really use a fresh set of eyes.I'm running on a NUCLEO-F767ZI board with the latest ST-Link debugger/programmer firmware./* Just assume these GPIO objects work as intended. They have been well vetted in other projects of mine. */GPIOClass testPin(GPIOA, PIN_15, HIGH_SPD, NO_ALTERNATE);GPIOClass txPin(GPIOE, PIN_8, ULTRA_SPD, GPIO_AF8_UART7);GPIOClass rxPin(GPIOE, PIN_7, ULTRA_SPD, GPIO_AF8_UART7);UART_HandleTypeD

Posted on July 12, 2017 at 00:35Is there a version of the Standard Peripheral Library that works with the STM32F7 series of processors, specifically the STM32F767?  I know that Cube is the new direction, but we have a substantial code base developed on a version of the SPL for the STM32F103.  We need to develop another product based on the STM32F767, and would like to leverage as much of our existing code as possible.#stm32f7 #standard-peripheral-library

Posted on July 17, 2017 at 12:37HeyI'm using stm32f103c8 and I want to use all of the GPIOB .it work good expect pin 3 and 4.Those pin use for sys_njtrst and sys_jtdo-tracswo but i just use SW and i don't need these pins for programming  and want to use for other purpose but its not work.can i do that?is it possible to use for input or output purpose?

Posted on July 21, 2017 at 15:25HiI am currently trying to communicated to a pc via a tcp socket.I am using LwIP and FreeRTOS on my discoveryF4 board. My problem is thta the code hangs on an assert when I try to use functions for socket creation/management but what is weird is that the assert on which the code is hung changes depending on where I call these functions. If I create a seperate thread for my tcp socket the code hangs when trying to execute the socket() function (which is used to create the socket)But if I try the same code but place it in a function and call that function from the defaul thread the code executes socket() with no problem but then hangs on an assert while trying to execute the connect() function.I have seen a similar problem on this forum on this post :https://community.st.com/0D50X00009XkXXLSA3 .The fix that is being suggested cannot work in my case since I only have ethernet enable as peripheral. Could it be that I'm running out of stack/heap ? Posted on July 20, 2017 at 22:52Hello everyone,I recently got myself a little nucleo compatible http://www.waveshare.com/w/upload/3/3a/Accessory-Shield-Schematic.pdf that comes with at I2C Temperature sensor http://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/LM75B.pdf. After carefully reading the datasheet I felt confident that I could get a working code quick enough. As a first test I decided to try to do a read of the temperature sensor using the pointer. I found some example online that I modified for my needs that look something like that : I2C_HandleTypeDef hi2c1;volatile uint8_t buffer[5];volatile uint16_t rawTemp;int16_t Temp;void TempMeasurement(void){ buffer[0] = 0x00; //Pointer to the Temp. Register HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1,0x48<<1,buffer,1,100); //Send pointer for Temperature Register HAL_Delay(10); HAL_I2C_Master_Receive(&hi2c1,0x48<<1,buffer,2,100); //Buffer[0] : MSB //Buffer[1] : LSB printf('Buffer After %d\r\n',buffer[0]); rawTemp = buffer[0]<&

Posted on July 20, 2017 at 14:28Hi allI have a function using the STM32CryptographicV3.0.0 to do AES-CMAC encryption / decryption on a STM32F446. This works fine.I have a function using the CRC peripheral of the STM32F446 to check the integrity of the flash. This works fine.My problem is when doing both at the same time or sequentially, the call of encryption / decryption of the lib seems to use the crc and mess with my flash CRC calculation. (CRC_DR is set to 0 after the call)In the pdf CD00208802.pdf User manual STM32 Cryptographic Library, i found out the note : 'Note: 3. CRC peripheral is used ', so i guess it's pretty normal to have this behaviour. Is there a way to do them at the same time ? or am i forced to do a pure crc software implementation for the check of my flash ?

Posted on July 19, 2017 at 23:10I have a circuit that requires the receiver to be disabled when transmitting and the transmitter disabled while receiving. I seem to be having trouble re-enabling the receiver after transmitting a packet of data. I do not get any UART interrupts on the next receive event. I have trapped it with the debugger and the UART register shows the receiver is enabled, the receive interrupt is enabled, and the uart is enabled. The only thing I do not see is the REACK flag set. If I try to sit in a loop until REACK is set, I end up in a infinite loop.I can receive a packet, switch to transmit and send a packet, but I am unable to successfully switch back into a valid receive mode. This is all part of a exchange of data without any gaps between packets and I am not going to sleep between packets. Processor: STM32L011Module: LPUART1void enable_uart_transmitter(void){     LPUART1->CR1 |= ( USART_CR1_TXEIE | USART_CR1_TE );}void disable_uar

Posted on July 19, 2017 at 15:38Hello All,I am trying to put my MCU into stand by mode and then wake him up with RTC alarm. I am pretty sure that this part is working for me. My problem is that when the MCU wakes up it doesn't continue to execute the code from the line bellow  HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() , it seems like it's starting to execute the code from the start of the main function and then it doesn't execute all the code, it's just executes few lines and seems like it's getting stuck in a loop.Any ideas on what am i doing wrong ?Thanks !!#stm32f4-rtc #stm32f4 #stm32f4-wakeup

Posted on July 19, 2017 at 14:34Hi there, I'm trying to receive data over SPI using the Nucleo-F746ZG. I'm using Cube MX and AC6 Workbench. Unfortunately, there are no SPI examples for this board that use the drivers generated by Cube MX (That I can find at least..)I have SPI1 enabled as a full duplex (Have also tried half duplex).NSS is set to hardware input.I have my pins configured like this:     /**SPI1 GPIO Configuration        PA4     ------> SPI1_NSS    PA5     ------> SPI1_SCK    PA6     ------> SPI1_MISO    PA7     ------> SPI1_MOSI     */I then used a logic analyser to ensure that all pins are connected properly and receiving data as they should. I have triple checked my SPI data/clock config and it's definitely correct.I have enabled SPI global interrupt in both the SPI config and NVIC config in
