I watched a cool oscilloscope application running in the ST25DV-DISCOVERY motherboard (see link below). As I have one of this available with me, I'd like to try it out. Could you share with us the project code so we can have fun with it?Thanks.

Communications appears fine; I get the following from BlueNRG-1 ST-LINK Utility (version 2.0.0.0):ST-LINK SN : 067......ST-LINK Firmware version: V2J33M25Conncetd via SWD.SWD Frequency = 100 KHz.Connection mode : Connect with Pre-Reset.Debug in Low Power mode enabled.Unknown device ID!Am able to use VL53L1X_ Gui app successfully on same NUCLEO board.

Hi guys,I want to write data to the flash memory of the Stm8s003f3p6 processor. I can read / write to this processor's eeprom. But I can read the flash memory, but I can't write it. I write my codes with "IAR Embedded Workbench for STM8". I check the address I wrote in Debug mode, but I see that no data is written. I guess there's no way I haven't tried. Here are the codes I wrote:FLASH_PUKR = 0x56; FLASH_PUKR = 0xAE; while (!(FLASH_IAPSR & (1 << FLASH_IAPSR_PUL))){}   FLASH_CR2 = 1 << FLASH_CR2_PRG; FLASH_NCR2 = (uint8_t) ~(1 << FLASH_NCR2_NPRG); pct = *(uint32_t *)(0x8000); (*(uint8_t*)(0x9000)) = 0x21; MSA_Delay(20);

Hello everyone, I use the STM32MP157A-DK1 on my project but I have a problem1- In the CubeMX, when you want to use a GPIO in output or input, why can not we select the context (cortex A7 or cortex M4)?2- When you set a GPIO as an output or input to CubeMX and generate code for SW4STM32, the GPIO you defined is not automatically configured in main.c, can I know why? please3- In SW4ST32 (main.c), when you manually set a GPIO and try to flash LEDs that you connect to the PG3 for example, no signal arrives on the PORT, did I make a mistake?BEST REGARDS

I am having this problem with this product, as I could not compile the provided firmware successfully once I enable the UART printf. I am using the keil project. once I uncomment the UART printf . I got the following error:error Due to flash size constraints on STEVAL-SMARTAG1, SMARTAG_ENABLE_DEBUG and SMARTAG_ENABLE_PRINTF features are not availableAccording to the documentation this problem occurs only with open STM32 IDE . Is there something I am missing. I would really appreciate your help.best regards

I'm using STM32F429 and trying to use HAL library to communicate to SPI slave via DMA channel. I'd like to ask how is resolved problem with for example sending data to SPI via DMA? Is there any kind of synchronization between SPI and DMA to disallow overwritting SPI DATA register by DMA when SPI is sending previous SPI DATA register? In other words - how DMA knows how fast it should move data from source buffer to SPI DATA register to not overwrite its contents?Is there any synchronization protocol which tells DMA to stop transmitting to SPI DATA register because SPI is currently busy with transmitting previous SPI DATA register?

Hi guys,I'm using the magnetometer of LSm303agr, but I have some doubts about how to interpret the data. Let me explain below:I know that LSm303agr returns magnetometer coordinates in two bytes (MSB, LSB) each one. Is it correct this conversion to get the coordinates as int16?Thank you in advance.int16_t X_MAG, Y_MAG, Z_MAG;   X_MAG = (int16_t)(i2c_ByteRead(0x3D, 0x69) << 8) | i2c_ByteRead(0x3D, 0x68);   Y_MAG = (int16_t)(i2c_ByteRead(0x3D, 0x6B) << 8) | i2c_ByteRead(0x3D, 0x6A);   Z_MAG = (int16_t)(i2c_ByteRead(0x3D, 0x6D) << 8) | i2c_ByteRead(0x3D, 0x6C);

Posted on October 03, 2017 at 08:58I'm trying to connect new ISOL version debugger to a device I have been debugging with the old ST-LINK. I do not have 20-pin JTAG on my device (small battery operated STM32L100) and I try to get only 3V3, GND, SWDIO and SWCLK connected. My problem is that the ten pin cable provided with the debugger fits to ST-LINK only one way and the User manual UM1075has a table 4.2 Connection with STM32 applications which suggests the pins would be 1, 20, 7 and 9 in the same order. Then again Figure 10. JTAG debugging flat ribbon layout shows that I should but the connector on the row where it doesn't fit because of the polarity pin. Which information do I trust now (and why would the 10 pin connector be fitted on the row that has only VCC and GND on it?) Anyone have a picture of the actual ST-LINK with the 4 wires connected?#st-link-isol-pinout

Hello everyone,After finally managing to upload my own firmware to ST25RU3993-EVAL through ST25RU3993 Reader Suite > Help > Update Firmware, I can't connect it anymore to the software when I press "Connect reader". The D15 led is always on and I read in the datasheet it corresponded to boot0 state. When I press "Connect reader" within the software the D15 led blinks turns off, blinks once and goes back on. Since I don't have any access to the board anymore (ST-Links never worked, even with the drivers), I'd like to "factory reset" it or anything that would allow me to communicate with my board again. I've already tried some button combinations (hold Boot and press Reset and vice-versa) but I get nothing except led blinking; it goes back to the state described before anyway.Thanks for reading,Kyllian LALLET

Hello there, I have a custom board with STM32G071CB for USB Type C PD Source, dual port, RTOS, configured with CubeMX 5.3.0, after writing code on usbpd_dpm_user.c and start debugging, I suspected there are 2+1 strange behavior so I hope somebody can give me some insights why are these happening:in the code USBPD_SettingsTypeDef.CAD_DefaultResistor is set to 0x00u, from datasheet I am expecting UCPDx.CR.ANASUBMODE should be 1 but what I got from the debugger is 3.with UCPDx.CR.ANASUBMODE set to 3, UCPDx.SR.TYPEC_VSTATE_CC2 is always 1, even though the type-c connector is n.c.! modified UCPDx.CR.ANASUBMODE to 1 fixed everything (i.e. correct behavior for UCPDx cable detection).in USBPD_DPM_GetDataInfo I programmed like this:switch (DataId) { /* Case Port Source PDO Data information */ case USBPD_CORE_DATATYPE_SRC_PDO : *(uint32_t*)(Ptr) = 0x14019032; *Size = 4; break; }I expected this will send a 5V, 500mA fixed source pdo to my usb-pd packet sniffer, that should be611332900114 , b

I'm just getting back into this after taking a 2 year break. I vaguely remember you could scaffold new projects from the command line rather than using the Designer application. I couldn't find any docs on this, is it still possible to do or am I completely mistaken?

Hello all,I am using the h743i eval board and trying to store a large array on the sdram.The problem I am running into is no matter what address I write to, when I read back a value I receive the last value written. I think this may be an issue with alignment? I am not sure.My initialization functions are:static void MX_FMC_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN FMC_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END FMC_Init 0 */   FMC_SDRAM_TimingTypeDef SdramTiming = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN FMC_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END FMC_Init 1 */   /** Perform the SDRAM1 memory initialization sequence */ hsdram1.Instance = FMC_SDRAM_DEVICE; /* hsdram1.Init */ hsdram1.Init.SDBank = FMC_SDRAM_BANK1; hsdram1.Init.ColumnBitsNumber = FMC_SDRAM_COLUMN_BITS_NUM_8; hsdram1.Init.RowBitsNumber = FMC_SDRAM_ROW_BITS_NUM_12; hsdram1.Init.MemoryDataWidth = FMC_SDRAM_MEM_BUS_WIDTH_32; hsdram1.Init.InternalBankNumber = FMC_SDRAM_INTERN_BANKS_NUM_4; hsdram1.Init.CASLatency = FMC_SDRAM_CAS_L

Hi,When I add variables to watch during debugging, the watch window does not display the actual value of the variable. I know the variables have the correct value because the program flow based on the value of the variable is correct. The watch just seems static and never updates variable changes.I have tried 2 different computers, 2 different Nucle0-H743ZI boards, Optimization set to 0, added "volatile" when declaring variables, updated the debug drivers.Changing variable type and changing the scope of the variable has no effect.The only time the watch window is correct is if I assign a value to the variable during declaration, the watch window displays the correct declaration value. But that value never changes even when the variable changes.

Hi guys,I use an STM32L072CZY6TR_LoraWAn and the IDE Keil Uvision 5 and i want to use the "Debug (printf) viewer" to visualize data. I'm a new user of Keil and i search someone who can explain to me what is the code that i need to implement to realize that.The code should realize the same function that Printf() on Visual studio for example. I try a lot of think that i see on the internet but i don't obtain good results.Thanks for helping me.Tim

My design is based on the STM32F767, which does not have the DSI interface. From what I can tell, it seems as though TouchGFX is DSI only. Is there a way to get TouchGFX running on a 24bit parallel display using the LTDC peripheral?

Hello, everybody.I am developing one small application, using STM32L011F4 MCU. As I realised from datasheet, there are two ways to boot from flash memory:1)Connect PB9-BOOT0 pin to ground;2)Set nBOOT_SEL bit and use nBOOT0 bit instead of BOOT0 pin. Also, datasheet says that nBOOT_SEL bit available only for Category 1 devices. Again, according to datasheet, STM32L011F4 is category 1 device:The problem is that I can not program nBOOT_SEL bit using ST-LINK UTILITY, it is shown in gray color and I can not check/uncheck it.What could be the problem?

I want to add CDC function. I use the STM32F103RB NUCLEO to add this function. But when I running my application, and insert USB to PC, no COM port shown in PC. I generate the code from cube and I don't know where is the problem. I test WIN10 and WIN7 PC, both are no any port. I have install the related driver in win7

We are planning to use the SCLT3-8BQ7, but do not want to connect any LEDs to LDi outputs of the chip. The datasheet does not mention how to connect these pins in this case.Can you please tell us if we should leave these pins floating?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

I have the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 expansion board connected to the NUCLEO-F401RE, successfully running the demo polling code from X-CUBE-NFC3. I would like to modify the code to allow the two boards to communicate using UART alone (no SPI pins necessary). The X-CUBE-NFC3 user guide suggests that this is possible at the end of the document when it says: " [The X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1] capable of interfacing with the external STM32 microcontroller on STM32 Nucleo board using SPI/UART transport layer. By default it will run using SPI interface. The user can choose to compile with one of the two interfaces by selecting the right target under Projects properties." https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/user_manual/group0/da/8c/85/ce/ed/4d/43/98/DM00282095/files/DM00282095.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00282095.pdfI'm using the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE, and can't find anything like Projects -> properties that would allow me to change the default interface. Could anyone o

Hi, I trying to compile the OpenAMP_TTY_echo example, but I get these a lot of errors, attach a file.

My version of STM32CubeIDE is Version: 1.0.2 Build: 3566_20190716-0927 (UTC)The STLinkUpgrade app is 3.2.11. It says that the last firmware version is V2J31M21. However the latest version of ST-LINK/V2-1 firmware (V2J34M25))? One can use the standalone program STM32 ST-LINK Utility 4.5 to perform the firmware upgrade on my devices and ignore the upgrade feature in STMCubeIDE for now.

Hello everybody,I'm new to USB development then excuse me if my questions are trivial.I have a board with the attached electric scheme (only USB section shown).The application I want to realize must do, with the provided HW, the following:Read/Write data from/to a USB keySend/receive data to/from a PC with a hyperterminal-like appReading here and there over the web I learnt that the former needs my MCU to be configured as a USB HOST MSC, and the latter as a USB DEVICE CDC. First question: as I need to connect to a PC for serial logging, my configuration cannot be USB HOST CDC, but USB DEVICE CDC, correct?Second question(s): suppose my HW cannot be modified at the moment. Is it possible to switch between HOST MSC / DEVICE CDC just by software routines? If yes, not being able to sense VBUS might be a problem? Should I power off my VBUS every time I switch from HOST to DEVICE ?Please consider that the machine mounting this board must expose a type-A USB connector for user operations with

Hi,expert.I am a beginner who started using STM32WB.I am trying to download the wireless stack using STM32_ProgrammerCLI.exe and command prompt while reading UM2550.I understand that there are seven types of wireless stacks:・stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_fw.bin・stm32wb5x_BLE_HCILayer_fw.bin・stm32wb5x_Thread_FTD_fw.bin・stm32wb5x_Thread_MTD_fw.bin・stm32wb5x_BLE_Thread_fw.bin・stm32wb5x_Mac_802_15_4_fw.bin・stm32wb5x_rfmonitor_phy802_15_4_fw.binFor example, if I want to do BLE, should I just download "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_fw.bin"?Or do I need to download all of these?Thank you for your attention.

HELLO ALL! i want to do point to point (P2P) data exchange between the NFC and a smart phone,Im new to NFC, require 64Kbyte EEPROM and mcu can write it, how to choose the chip

Hi,I am testing an application, and currently is working properly with HSI configured to 16MHz.Now I want to enable the HSE.I am using a NUCLEO-8S208RB. I have soldered an external crystal on X2, and i have configured the board with 12pF capacitors and 0 ohms resistor.The crystal has a resonance frequency of 24 MHz. Configuring the firmware in order to output the clock frequency from pin 57 of STM8S (CLK_CCO), everything seems working (i can see the 24MHz synusoid with the oscilloscope).Unfortunately the microcontroller is not working, because the application doesn't run.I have configured the HSE clock in this way:CLK_SYSCLKConfig(CLK_PRESCALER_CPUDIV1);CLK_SYSCLKConfig(CLK_PRESCALER_HSIDIV1);  /* Output Fcpu on CLK_CCO pin */CLK_CCOConfig(CLK_OUTPUT_CPU);/*Enable external oscillator*/CLK_ClockSwitchConfig(CLK_SWITCHMODE_AUTO, CLK_SOURCE_HSE, DISABLE, CLK_CURRENTCLOCKSTATE_DISABLE);CLK_HSECmd(ENABLE); //I have some doubts about this...is it really needed?Do you see anything w
