Hello all,I am having an issue with single-click detection. I am getting false click detections at certain threshold values. I found this out yesterday when I had an MCU register lots of clicks repeatedly, but the device was not being shaken. To test, I set up the LIS2DH as follows (using I2C):Reset chip (write CTRL_REG5 with 0x80)Read WHOAMI until it returns 0x33 to make sure it's upDisable ODR and enable all 3 axes (write CTRL_REG1 with 0x07)Write CTRL_REG2 with 0x00 (just to be sure)Send Click to INT1 pin (write CTRL_REG3 with 0x80)Set BDU so I can read values, +/-2g, normal mode (write CTRL_REG4 with 0x80)Set up temperature (write TEMP_CFG_REG with 0xC0)Run Self test (Sets ODR to max, sets SELF_TEST_0, sets back to normal, test passes)  Enable click interrupts on all 3 axes (write CLICK_CFG_REG with 0b010101)write CTRL_REG5 to 0x0Set ODR to 10Hz (write CTRL_REG1,4 accordingly)Set click threshold to 80 Set click timeout to 127 (I leave it here always)Now LIS2DH is set up at 10Hz

Hello,Is it possible to use the m24sr module without NDEF?I would like to accept from a smartphone the selection of a custom application and subsequently other commands. It's possible to do it?

I have used stm32cubeMX and atollic truestudio in this case. I'm attaching my project folder which contains the ioc file and the code files. I would be highly obliged if anyone can tell me the mistakes in either the cubeMX settings or the code or both.BRMANASKANT MISHRA

I'm using an STM32F411RET6 MCU to make a keyboard. Attached is the full schematic. Using CubeMX to generate the USB code. I'm a hobby-ist and I apologize in advance if there's a very basic issue that I've overlooked. The problem is it works sometimes but most times it doesn't. I get the error in Windows "USB Device has malfunctioned". Hi, Im searching way to avarage two unsigned 32 integers. Is there any hardware help in doing this with stm?

Hi! I changed usb hid.c file not in user code. After I change something in cubemx and regenerate code this file is also changed to its oryginal form. Is there a way to tell cubemx not to change this specyfic file?

Posted on July 03, 2018 at 18:53I have strange problem on my hand which I can't figure out if it is a Windows driver or USB stack issue. I have an embedded STM32F732 using USB FS CDC for communication. The MCU is self powered with VBus sensing. When I connect it to a Windows 10 or MacOS machine, I can open a terminal program and communicate with the MCU just fine. When I attempt to do the same with a Windows 7 or 8.1 machine, the COM port does not open. For instance Putty says 'Unable to open connection to COM6. Unable to configure serial port.'For Windows 7 & 8.1, the device manager has the MCU listed as STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port. Both machines have the latest v1.5 VCP drivers from STM installed. The interesting thing I discovered is that if I plug the usb cable into the Mac or Win10 machine first and then plug it into the Win7 or 8.1 machine, I can connect to it! And it will still works after I do a soft reset. It will stop working if I do a hard reset and cut power.Th

HI all,I cannot set sensor to power down mode. When i send command 0x03 to register CTRL_REG3, Current consumption is 100uA, i use stm8l151g6 (turn off hardware LIS3MDL current consumption is 1uA).

I'm new here but have already gotten lots of good advice, so I'll press my luck and ask another question. Can't believe it hasn't come up before, but search doesn't find anything.Simplest possible timer example. Start counting down from ARR value, busy loop wait for finish. No interrupts, no capture/compare, no output ... nothing. The code is right out of AN4776 "General-purpose timer cookbook. It works, except that the first time it's called the delay is always zero. The following code is for TIM6 on an STM32F767ZI Nucleo-144 board, but I've had the same problem forever, including an STM32L476 Discovery, and bare 32F103xx and 32L0x1 chips (and with many different timers).I really want to use one-pulse mode, but it doesn't matter -- the problem happens with or without it. Also see commented-out lines in the code. Explicitly setting CNT to zero, setting the SR register UIF flag, setting the PSC prescaler every time instead of just once at program initialization -- nothing helps. It's not

Hi, I am using STM32F779NI for development. My requirements are:On PD15, i.e Timer 4 channel 4, I want to generate a PWM output. On PB7, i.e Timer 4 channel 2, I want to use it as an Input capture functionality. Is it possible to configure the Timer for both this functionalities on different channels of same Timer?

The latest version (5.4.0) of CubeMX (and who knows... maybe every version before) generates DMA initialization code out of order, and it's kind of hard to diagnose until you single step through all the HAL code.I am using an STM32H743 and setting up circular DMA for the SAI port. The code generated in main.c looks like this: /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_SAI1_Init(); MX_SAI2_Init(); MX_I2C2_Init(); MX_SPI2_Init(); MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(); MX_I2S1_Init(); MX_SDMMC2_SD_Init(); MX_DMA_Init();The DMA for the SAI ports gets configured in MX_SAI1_Init() and MX_SAI2_Init(). Unfortunately, since MX_DMA_Init() is called AFTER the MX_SAIx_Init(), none of the SAI DMA settings get configured right, and it just doesn't work, and you spend a day or two debugging the CubeMX code. Ugh. So, the solution is to go to Project Manager->Advanced Settings, and disable the init calls by clicking 'NOT Generate Function Call' for all the init functions, and create your

Hello.I'm working on a project using a STM32L475VG with a TFT screen (240 x 400) and we would like to use TouchGFX as graphical tool. The website tells me the STM32L4 MCUs are supposed to be compatible with TouchGFX, but STM32CubeMX does not propose me the "GRAPHICS" part in the modules list (not even appears disabled).Even for the STM32L496G-DISCOVERY, presented as reference, STM32CubeMX does not provide me any graphical option. What does mean this contradiction ? Does the error come from STM website or from STMCubeMX ?Is STM32L475VG really compatible with TouchGFX and, if so, how can I use it in my project without using STM32CubeMX ?Thanks in advance.Best regards,Nicolas

I'm running USB CDC in HS with STM32F405.Receiving data from PC is very good. But, sending data to PC has problem sometimes. To send data, I'm using CDC_Transmit_HS ( *Buf, Len )There is no error in the function at all. But, data is not sent to PC.To see if there is any error in CDC_Transmit_HS ( ), I checkedthe hierarchical calls in CDC_Transmit_HS ().But, even when the data is not sent, there is no error inside at all. - Is there any known issue or possible problem that I had made ? - Is there any relationship between USB CDC IN functions and OUT functions ? - EX: when OUT is disabled (by not sending USBD_CDC_ReceivePacket), IN with CDC_Transmit_HS doesn't work. * Windows10 home* Driver for USB CDC (from device manager) : System32/Drivers/usbser.sys MS 10.0.18362.1 2006-06-21============================================================================Added #1.The problem occurs when MCU sends 512 x n bytes to the host. After an internet searching for few hours, I found articles that z

Hi,I am trying to communicate RN4020 with my STM32L100 disco board however I could not manage to do it. I can send commands and get AOK and Reboot responses when I try it with an Arduino. I did monitor that Disco can communicate correctly with Arduino. I measured the RX TX signals with an oscilloscope and everything looks fine. I tried with 9600 BR and 115200 BR. I just get no response from RN4020 rarely I get ERR response from the Bluetooth module. i also tried the hardware flow option still nothing. Does anyone had a similar issue? I am using Cubemx IDE. I try to operate very basic I2S DMA function in STM32H750 chip. This is a very simple function which successfully works on STM32F4 and F7 chips.I have read the previous comments about I2S problems on H7 chip, and knowthere are some problems with I2S in previous releases of HAL library, but with the release of v.1.50. this library was rewritten. Right know, polling mode and interrupt mode are successfully working. For DMA problems on H7, the linker script is re-edited. I2C and SPI DMA functions are working successfully, but I2S function starts without any errors, finishes 1 cycle successfully, then halts. It does not work in neither normal nor circular mode. In debug mode, HAL_I2S_TxHalfCpltCallback is called after one cycle, then it halts. No error callbacks are called. Below tryouts were not successful either;placing dma buffer on RAM_D2using cache maintenance functions (SCB_CleanDCache)using I2S2 or I2S3Solving this problem is very crucial for my project.
