Hello ST community,I was going through the application note for LIS2DS12 (https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00218428-lis2ds12-alwayson-3d-accelerometer-stmicroelectronics.pdf) which mentions in section 5.9.1 that STEP_COUNT_DELTA can be configured to generate interrupt if a step is detected in a certain time period. Does configuration of this register also apply to the step count value in STEP_COUNTER register?Regards,Anusha

At some communities, some people can use STM32H750 token for 2M kBytes. why? for ecample ARMFLAY's H7-TOOL production ,it's amount of code is much larger than 128 kBytes. could we do copy this ?

I'm using STM32CubeIDE, Settings ->Tool Settings->MCU Post build outputs-> Choose "Convert to binary file(-O binary)", I found that the generated bin file was not the right size. The elf and hex is correct. .elf: 5902KB.hex:2327KB.bin: 655390KBObviously the bin file size is wrong.

Hello, I'm using TouchGFX to create a Scroll Wheel. I created 2 Container and setNumber function as this guide (https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/ui-components/containers/scroll-wheel/), but I met so much "?" on my Scroll Wheel.Below is my function: (in CustomContainer - LEDMenuElement.cpp)void LEDMenuElement::setNumber(int16_t value) { Unicode::snprintf(led_idBuffer, LED_ID_SIZE, "%d", value); // Unicode::itoa(value, led_idBuffer, LED_ID_SIZE, 10); led_id.invalidate(); }And my code in Screen1View.cpp:void Screen1View::LedScrollWheelUpdateItem(LEDMenuElement& item, int16_t itemIndex) { item.setNumber(itemIndex); } void Screen1View::LedScrollWheelUpdateCenterItem(SelectedTemplate& item, int16_t itemIndex) { item.setNumber(itemIndex); }How I can fix this issue? Many Thanks

hi all,I need to use a SPI1 as slave and receive character by character via interrupt and not works.I have placed a break point to "void NMI_Handler(void)" and "void SPI1_IRQHandler(void)" but never fire into the functions.static void MX_SPI1_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 1 */ /* SPI1 parameter configuration*/ hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_SLAVE; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_HARD_INPUT; hspi1.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi1.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCPolynomial = 7; hspi1.Init.CRCLength = SPI_CRC_LENGTH_DATASIZE; hspi1.Init.NS

Dear all,I am having a problem with SDIO (SDMMC2) interface on STM32F769i Discovery. I use the DMA-based SDIO, CubeMX (v5.6.1) to generate the codes. Also freeRTOS enabled. After I called "BSP_SD_WriteBlocks_DMA(aTxBuffer, BLOCK_START_ADDR, NUM_OF_BLOCKS);", at some point, the HAL_SD_IRQHandler is triggered. and inside this handler, I got an error: HAL_SD_ERROR_DATA_CRC_FAIL. Then HAL_SD_ErrorCallback is triggered, instead of the HAL_SD_TxCpltCallback. Any clue what is the cause of this CRC error? My settings are following:  I added SD_initialize(0) in the FATFS_Init function. void MX_FATFS_Init(void) { /*## FatFS: Link the SD driver ###########################*/ retSD = FATFS_LinkDriver(&SD_Driver, SDPath);   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* additional user code for init */ SD_initialize(0); /* USER CODE END Init */ }/** * @brief Initializes a Drive * @param lun : not used * @retval DSTATUS: Operation status */ DSTATUS SD_initialize(BYTE lun) { St

Hello!I’m pretty new at STM32 and I have small hobby project with STM32F7 series.I used LL library.I communicate with external sensors through SPI. STM32 – master, external sensors – slaves. External sensors “data ready? pins allow me to initiate data transfer requests. Data packets pretty small and frequent: 7 bytes, 11 bytes (different sensors) and ~4kHz frequency.I used DMA for sending\receiving this data. It configured like this: LL_DMA_InitTypeDef init = {}; … init.PeriphOrM2MSrcDataSize = LL_DMA_PDATAALIGN_BYTE; init.MemoryOrM2MDstDataSize = LL_DMA_MDATAALIGN_BYTE; init.Mode = LL_DMA_MODE_NORMAL; init.FIFOMode = LL_DMA_FIFOMODE_ENABLE; init.FIFOThreshold = LL_DMA_FIFOTHRESHOLD_FULL; init.MemBurst = LL_DMA_MBURST_SINGLE; init.PeriphBurst = LL_DMA_PBURST_SINGLE; …I restarted DMA send\receive transfer after every “data ready? external sensors signal with fixed data length (7 and 11 bytes).I have some questions:Is it a good\bad idea to set DMA FIFO to enabled in this case

I want to attach the 14 pin STDC14 debug connector (CN5) found on STLInkV3 Mini to a PCB. However, I can't seen to find the exact model. Any idea what the exact part number of that connector (CN5) is?

Here is my environmentmacOS 10.13CubeIDE v1.4.2Nucleo-H745ZI boardExample project: FreeRTOS_AMP_Dual_RTOS - generated by IDE using the info center dialog to import the exampleExample builds and runs great, debugger works, this is all good.OK, now I want to enable the DAC. From grepping the sources in the project, it doesn't look like the HAL code that was built, presumably by CubeMX, has the DAC set up. (If you suspect I am wrong about this, tell me what I should grep for to disprove it).How do I ask the IDE to regenerate the HAL code with the DAC drivers present ?Or, was there some step I could have taken during project setup that would have let me do that customization then ?TLDR: how do I modify HAL for an example project after it is first built and working, to enable more hardware peripherals? There is a cute blue "MX" button at the upper right of the IDE window and it doesn't do anything.Observation - everything I read about CubeMX involves .ioc files. But there is no .ioc file in

So I fired up CUBEstarted ADC over DMA with circular mode and Half Word to memory then I added Continuous DMA requests and set TIM5 as trigger sourceI then set up timerADC is 12 bitsthen I started everything and this happenedhowever I do not understand why I have these big values when max value should be 4096???any ideas ?

How can I connect to a running target (without re-flashing and resetting) using STM32CubeIDE and STLink ?

Dear Community,I was trying to make composite USB2.0 device (FullSpeed) consisting of a UVC and HID component. Both the components I’ve tested before as a standalone device successfully. However after making a composite device accordingly to the HID-CDC example in the STM32F105/7xx, STM32F2xx and STM32F4xx USB On-The-Go Host and Device Library I found myself lost. Using a hardware USB analyzer (and some help from OSR community)  I found so far that after receiving the composite device descriptor by the PC host a class request (0x0A) failed with the USB analyzer message: ?The device was not able to process this request. At least one transaction contains a STALL token, which means that the device did not expect this request. “The payload of the failing class request is:0x21 0x0A 0x00 0x00 0x02 0x00 0x00 0x00 Accordingly to usb in a nutshell  (https://www.beyondlogic.org/usbnutshell/usb6.shtml) this means it is a class request for the device having the bRequest  value: 0x0

What is the recommended way to organize a project in STM32CubeIDE so that multiple teammates to share their work via git without thrashing the settings and paths that are user-specific?It seems like we need to eliminate all user-specific and absolute paths and only use relative paths. We'd prefer to use the "Add necessary library files as reference in the toolchain project configuration file" setting in "Code Generator Options" to minimize bloat. This works if we make a symlink to the STM32Cube/Repository/ in the same relative location for all of us. But then we get absolute paths in .cproject. Is there a way to have the IDE to use something like ${Firmware_Repo} for these paths? The "Copy only the necessary library files" setting spares us the git-incompatible paths, and we can dedup these across similar projects by extracting those to a common directory and linking to that, but those are a lot of hoops to jump through.Does anyone have tips to share on project structure for a nice git w

I want to uncomment #define SINGLE_FRAME_BUFFER_INTERNAL to use single frame buffer in internal SRAM and i dont want TouchGFX to generate codes about FMC. Where exactly BoardConfiguration.cpp generated.

Can you please share the maximum current supported by STPM32 Energy IC digital IO pin.

Is there any easy way to use superscript or subscript in TouchGFX, or need to do custom implementation for it?I need subscripts in particular, which can appear in arbitrary numbers in middle of text fields.Maybe I can convert unicode characters to their subscript equivalent character, between 0x2000-0x2084 range.I will post solution here if I figure this out.

Is it possible to start USB host on STM32WB55 MCU?

Hi at all,Sometime happens that usart2 irq freeze and HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback isn't called. From this moment I can send data (I use blocking instruction HAL_UART_Transmit), but don't receive any. When this happens, HAL_UART_ErrorCallback don't called too.In this situation, HAL_Receive_IT returns always HAL_BUSY.I tried to solve calling these instruction when the status is different from HAL_OK:  __HAL_UART_CLEAR_OREFLAG(huart);  __HAL_UART_CLEAR_NEFLAG(huart);  __HAL_UART_CLEAR_FEFLAG(huart);  __HAL_UART_DISABLE_IT(huart, UART_IT_ERR);  huart->ErrorCode = HAL_UART_ERROR_NONE;  Uart2Status = HAL_UART_Receive_IT(huart, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1);This solution seems to solve for some tries only.At the moment, when IRQ freeze, to solve the problem, I must to restart device. The problem is random. Can you help me?Thanks.

Hi,I just read an article mentioned that micro controller will limit (or do smthing) to lower down the frequency of crystal oscillator to match the multiply number of 9600 for UART, is that right? So if I'm using PLL to boost CPU frequency from 8M to 72M, then what is the exact frequency of CPU and UART and what is the maximum Baud rate? since i tried Baud rate 921,600 and transmitted by calling HAL_UART_Transmit, it doesn't transmit the data properly. Any help? Thanks a lot!

We use stsw-st25001 to write and read ST25-04 to config Wifi. But according to user's Manual , it don't have wifi NEDF data format. We want to analyse data format ,then to develop our production.Could you send me a datasheet that have APP(stsw-st25001)writing and reading data Format that explain frame header, fram tail ,data etc...... Tank you very much!

Hi,I want to update the boot chain (basic mode) for a "custom" device tree.Following the wiki page below, I understood how to update the boot chain (trusted mode) for a "custom" device tree.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_compile_the_device_tree_with_the_Developer_PackageOn the other hand, I don't know how to update the boot chain (basic mode) for a "custom" device tree.In basic mode, should I compile the device trees in the following steps?==U-boot==make stm32mp15_basic_defconfigmake DEVICE_TREE=<device tree> all==TF-A==make -f ../../sources/arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi/tf-a-stm32mp-2.0-r0/Makefile.sdk TFA_DEVICETREE=<device tree> TF_A_CONFIG=basic allIn this case, which files should I copy into the 'fsbl1', 'fsbl2' and 'ssbl' partition of the target?Best Regards.H. Masuda
