I migrated to a new self-created PCB with a STM32F746IE. I noticed that if I flash anything, the program works immediately after flashing, but not after power off/on. As a simple example, I created a program with two blinking LEDs. They blink after flashing, but remain dark after power cycling.In both CubeMX and TrueSTUDIO, I selected STM32F746IE as device. I configured to use the TCM interface with ART controller and command prefetch. The flash for TCM interface is located at 0x0020 0000. Looking at the HEX file, I see that the target address is indeed 0x0020 0000.For reference, here is my linker file: [removed]I also cannot debug. Flashing works, the breakpoint at main() is created, but never reached. This is my debug script: [removed]The power supply provides stable 3.3V and 1.2A. I disabled HSE and LSE and enabled HSI/LSI to rule out clock problems.So what could cause the flash (and the debug) problems? Obviously, the layout or the soldering could be bad. But I solder SMD regularly

When I2C "Speed mode" changes in CubeMX/IDE from Standard to Fast, it seems that only the Init.Timing value changes in generated code.This value goes into TIMINGR register of the I2C .Am I missing anything or this value defines the "speed mode" entirely? That's, the "speed mode" exists only in the Cube's GUI?The chip is STM32H743/753Thanks,Pavel A

The LPTIM erratum "MCU may remain stuck in LPTIM interrupt when clearing event flag" (to be found in errata of STM32 having LPTIM, which got updated since cca the end of 2018 -- ST please update *all* errata timely!) contains this description:This limitation occurs when the LPTIM is configured in interrupt mode (at least one interrupt is enabled) and the software clears any flag by writing the LPTIM_ICR bit in the LPTIM_ISR register.There is no LPTIM_ICR bit. LPTIM_ICR is the register in by writing individual bits, interrupts flags in the LPTIM_ISR register can be cleared.ST, please correct this. Please provide a complete description, upon which the user can decide how exactly to implement the workaround, not relying on any "library" implementation. This is not the only case of messy description in errata. Errata are an important part of the documentation. ST, please review all errata for comprehensibility of the description.JW

Hello guys,I am trying to implement a custom bootloader based on stm32f103rb.I would like to jump in a flash address page e.g 0x8004000When i am calling the app_reset_handler(), debugger break at address 0xfffffffe with no debug information.I appreciate if someone could guide me to resolve this issue.Let me attach the code:void jump_application(void){ void (*app_reset_handler)(void); volatile uint32_t addr = 0x8004000; HAL_RCC_DeInit(); SysTick->CTRL = 0; SysTick->LOAD = 0; SysTick->VAL = 0; __disable_irq(); SCB->VTOR = (FLASH_BASE | 0x4000); app_reset_handler = (void*)(*(__IO uint32_t *)(addr + 4)); __set_MSP(*(uint32_t *)addr); app_reset_handler();}

STM32CubeIDE version: 1.5.1, Build: 9029_20201210_1234 (UTC)STM32CubeMX version: 6.1.1

After updating to STM32CubeIDE 1.2.1 I cannot open anymore .ioc file in STM32CubeMX device configuration tool. When I double click on existing .ioc in the project text editor opens instead of STM32CubeMX.

Hi,I suddenly get this kind of interrupt in a code that was previously working perfectly. The instruction that makes this interrupt arise is *dst=*ptr. You can check below the function:void readHistoryFile(unsigned short * dst){ unsigned short * ptr = HF_P_ADDR; //Pointer to Flash position (starts at 0x0807F800) for(int i=0; i<N_HF_EL;i++){ *dst = *ptr; ptr++; //Increment Flash pointer by 2 bytes dst++; //Increment destination pointer } }The initial dst address is 0x2001ff30.I can copy some Bytes but, whenever I try to write into the address 0x2001ff50, I get the said interrupt. Also, have in mind that this problem showed up suddenly, without any change to the firmware.Is there any good way to debug this mysterious behavior?Thanks in advance

Hello,Is it possible to use uart with dma, so that on idle we also get informed, so that we can read the rx data ?I found no example in hal cube for using UART with DMA in such "real life" scenario, only in simple full buffer fill - which is not practical.I use stm32h7.Thanks,ranran

Developing with B-L072Z-LRWAN1 LoRa®Discovery kit with sensor board and GNSS Teseo.I added an OLED ssd1306 and connected it on IC2 PB8 PB9. I can send commands but when I send data I very often get a display hang. How should I handle PB8 PB9? Should this be terminated? Is it a jumper to set on any of the 3 boards?

I want to use a SIP with ST32MP153 and it uses PC13 to PMIC wakeup, PC1 is used for MDC so I'm left with only PI8 so can't use active tamper.I sit possible to use Ethernet without MDC so I can use PC1 for active tamper with PI8?

Hi,I've developed a UI with touchGFX where I'm using a swipe container and to finish my application I think I need a way to know the page I was in the Swipe container. The steps I do are.:1) in page x of the swipe container i press a button to go to another screen2) when I'm in the other screen I press a button on a keyboard to come back to the previous screen and I need to come back exactly to the page of the Swipe container I was before.I've read some discussion on the community about that but If I've understood well, the only way is to add manually a custom container. But I'm at the end of the UI so I would prefer to not follow this way. Is this the only way? So far I've tried to add this function to SwipeContainer.cpp but I got errrors:uint8_t SwipeContainer::getSelectedPage(){  return currentPage;}and to SwipeContainer.hpp (in the public part)uint8_t getSelectedPage();In the screen where the swipe container is used: uint8_t Screen01View::SaveCurrentPage(){ currentPage=Sw

Hey all! I'm working on a project with the STM32L151C8T6. However, my STM32CubeMX generated project (For STM32CubeIDE) launches straight into a hardfault. Any idea what could cause this or what I could debug to get this to work? I've already generated a new empty MX project that doesn't have anything configured - same problem. Thanks!

Hello,I'm using ST25R95 in my project. I'm sending pulse signal in order to transit from powerUP mode, and after it the Idle command in order to enter hibernate mode.Idle command: {0x07, 0x0E, 0x08, 0x04, 0x00, 0x04, 0x00, 0x18, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00};I'm using custom PCB and current consumption after I send Idle command drops from 1.69mA to 1.14mA. The rest of circuit on the PCB consumes 0.14mA, which means there is about 1mA current somewhere in the NFC circuit. In the DB2382 Rev 5 document, I have found reference design for the ST25R95, and SSI_0 is connected over 3.3kOhms to VCC, and SSI_1 over 3.3kOhms to GND. That is the only difference from mine design, because I have connected those 2 pins directly to VCC and GND respectively (SSI_0 to VCC, and SSI_1 to GND). Could this be an issue and is that reason for this 1mA power consumption, or do I need to do something else besides sending the Idle command?Best regards and thank you in advance,Dragan

Hi，STM32H743 Cortex M7 core with double precision FPU, it process 32bit float data(single precision) in my project, I wonder if it affects efficiency and performance of FPU, In my performance testing program, it's no different from Cortex M4 FUP.Thanks!

I'm using the STM32F072RB MCU and I am trying to increase the SPI baud rate. The HSI48 Clock is 48MHz and the minimum SPI clock prescaler is 2 which comes out to be 24Mbit/s. However, it gives me an error stating that the baud rate is more than 18MBit/s. Why is this and is there anyway to change it?

A STM32F746 on a custom board powered by the step-down regulator TPS62082 by TI doesn't start in about 90% of cases.I flashed (which always works fine) a simple test program, which flashes two LEDs alternately:int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init();   while (1) { LED1; // LED1 on, GPIOx->BSRR = ...; LED20; // LED2 off, GPIOx->BSRR = ...; HAL_Delay(1000); LED10; // LED1 off LED2; // LED2 on HAL_Delay(1000); } }The STM32 runs at 200 MHz, using HSI and LSI. In about 10% of cases after power on, the LEDs light up. The other 90%, both LEDs remain dark. If the LEDs remain dark, a manual reset by pulling NRST low always starts the STM32.The first idea was that there is a power issue, but I set the Brown Out Reset level in the option bytes to around 3V. Looking at Vin (3) and Vout (1) of the regulator, voltage seems to be fine. (2) is the output of a GPIO output which was initialized to HIGH in MX_GPIO_Init() -- but it remains LOW, which means t

Hi ST communityI want to do register level coding and make device drivers and do peripheral coding for STM32 MCU ( i have STM32F103 and STM32wb55) using STM32cubeIDE.Now the thing is I am not able to figure out how to create a project in STM32cubeIDE which has only peripheral register header files(STMf103.c and stmf103.h) for making device drivers from scratch.Don't want to use STM32cube Mx as it automatically generates all Low-level codes On the net, most of the resources for doing register level coding is done by using Kiel and STM32 Cube MX.But I don't want to use Keil and neither CubeMX for generating my codes.

Hello,I would like to send the value of a parameter from screen1View.cpp to Model.cpp. Is there any way to do this?I work with TouchGFX 4.14 and STM32429-EvalThanks!
