Hi,I'm trying to trig a DMA from the EXTI0 input. There is a good example in the STM32Cube package for the H7: Projects\STM32H743I-EVAL\Examples\DMA\DMAMUX_RequestGenBut this example uses the BDMA and I need to use the DMA1. I tried to make some modifications to the example but without success (see https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000Pnct0SAB/make-the-stm32h7-example-dmamuxrequestgen-work-with-dma1-instead-of-bdma).Reading the chapter "Block interconnect" I see that the source signal is called "exti_syscfg_exti0" when connected to dmamux2_gen20, but it is called " exti_exti0_it" when connected to dmamux1_gen6. I really don't understand what it means... For sure I use DMAMUX1 with the correct signal ID, but is there something else to change from the example using BDMA/DMAMUX2 ?Thank you.

Cube_IDE_1.4 and TouchGFX 4.16.Use the stm32f469i_Discovery Board to put the picture in the TouchGFX and upload it, and only the black screen appears.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12KXreXaLp0 that I have informed you hereI've seen and followed, but the result is the same.It is not easy to obtain data on stm32f469.Who can give me some advice? Please tell me how to upload a picture using TouchGFX on stm32f469.

I am designing a movement detector with the chip IIS328DQ (using INT1).For the IIS328DQ registers configuration, I use the driver https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/tree/master/iis328dq_STdCNOTE: User register configuration was included in original support request, but irrelevant here.I can observe a lot of latency (5...15 seconds) between the move and its detection. But it's not an issue for me.The problem is that sometimes a move isn't detected at all (no interrupt generation on the INT1 pin). My impression is that some movements are better detected than others.Any suggestions what might be wrong?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

Hi,The example DMAMUX_RequestGen works perfectly on my STM32H755 board and now I'm trying to modify it so it uses the DMA1 instead of the BDMA. I need that because at the end I would like to trigger a SPI5 RX.Unfortunately I cannot make it work, that means I don't see the output pin toggling when EXTI0 is changing. I have no error during the configuration. And no DMA error neither. Here is what I changed form the example:Use SRAM1 instead of SRAM4 for the DMA (SRC_Buffer_LED1_Toggle array)Use DMA1 instance instead of BDMAUse DMAMUX1 instead of DMAMUX2Enable DMA1 and SRAM1 clocksWhat did I forget? What shall I check? This is the source code:/*Buffer location and size should aligned to cache line size (32 bytes) */ /* Use SRAM4 for BDMA, or SRAM1 for DMA1 */ #if defined(__ICCARM__) #ifdef USE_BDMA #pragma location = 0x38000000 #else #pragma location = 0x30000000 #endif uint32_t SRC_Buffer_LED1_Toggle[2] = { 0, /*Value for LED 1 ON */ GPIO_PIN_10 /*Value for LED 1 OFF */ }; #endif

I am not using OTG (Only host USB's) in the PCB I connected OTG_VBUS to GND. Is this problematic? I saw that it should be left open but not sure if it is connected internally

Hello,Issue 1: assert_failed() triggeredI had observed an issue wherein the file stm32h7xx_hal_timebase_tim.c generated by STM32CubeMX for STM32H753BIT6 has HAL_InitTick() implementation different from what is provided on the GitHub repository of STM32CubeH7 (One may refer to file stm32h7xx_hal_timebase_tim_template.c to check a sample implementation).I am concerned that the STM32CubeMX generated code calls only below inside HAL_InitTick():/*Configure the TIM2 IRQ priority */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(TIM2_IRQn, TickPriority, 0);   /* Enable the TIM2 global Interrupt */ HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM2_IRQn);   /* Enable TIM2 clock */ __HAL_RCC_TIM2_CLK_ENABLE();(where TIM2 is the timer being used by FreeRTOS).I believe the code should be modified to:/*Configure the TIM2 IRQ priority */ if (TickPriority < (1UL << __NVIC_PRIO_BITS)) { HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(TIM2_IRQn, TickPriority ,0U);   /* Enable the TIM2 global Interrupt */ HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM2_IRQn); uwTickPrio

I am working on USB CDC ACM device. I want to communicate with High Speed device using full speed host(NUCLEO-F411RE). As I am new to USB protocol, but I know that device starts communication in FS mode and switch to HS mode only if host respond to J-K chirp signal. Device is enumerated and detected as full speed device.Descriptor is successfully received on host It is high speed device but detected as FS to my host. Bulk endpoint(IN and OUT) size of device is 512 Bytes. Device transmits data when I send specific character to device, I transmit that data from host and host receive ACK from device. After that I am waiting for data from device, but I don't get any data.I am suspecting that it might be due to Bulk Endpoint size. When I am communication between two STM32 NUCLEO-F411RE board one as HOST and other as DEVICE then data is transmitted and received successfully. When device is connected with PC(host) I am able to get reply from device.IDE used : STM32CubeIDE

Hi. I am trying to make a tester for a PCB and implemented ADC value display and Timer PWM output with no issues thanks to examples and youtube videos.Application has 2 screens, 1 with ADC measurements and 1 with Frequency Check. When trying to update textAreaWithOneWildcard on the 1st screen there are no issues, but doing same on 2nd screen causes system to fall into Memory Management Interrupt Handler (both screens use the similar logic, names of variables and methods are different). The debugger can not provide any Error details as the issue seems to be in the Drawable class. The definition of all textAreasWithOneWildcard is similar (position, buffer lengths are different obviously).// 1st screen display update function - works with no issues void MeasurementScreenView::analogUpdate(uint32_t value0, uint32_t value1, uint32_t value2, uint32_t value3) { memset(&measurementValue_5VBuffer, 0, MEASUREMENTVALUE_5V_SIZE); Unicode::snprintfFloat(measurementValue_5VBuffer, sizeof(measure

Hi Everyone,I am trying to run HRTIM Master unit with repetition interrupt and the repetition counter is 1. Now, when I am in interrupt I have to update compare and period registers and using LL to do so. But, within interrupt merely updating registers using LL_HRTIM_TIM_SetPeriod(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_TIMER_MASTER, PRD); LL_HRTIM_TIM_SetCompare1(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_TIMER_MASTER, (0.5)*PRD);takes around 2usec, which is a lot for my application. Any way to do it quicker?

Hello,We are working with a custom board using the STM32H753II that connects to a 480x320 ILI9486 LCD via the FMC (8080 interface). The display and its custom-written driver work fine when writing pixel data using the CPU. To improve performance, we want to use the DMA2D available in the MCU for most rendering tasks. The first thing I tried was using the DMA2D in Mem-to-Mem with Blending and fixed color BG mode (MODE 101) with the FG color format set to A4 for anti-aliased font rendering (size 12x16). OMAR was set to the same address used when writing manually. I expected this to work just fine. However, the displayed characters are extremely distorted and not recognizable unless you know what they should be.To further debug this issue, I created some test characters. One consists of a gradient from 0x0 to 0xB from left to right. The other consists of a 2px wide vertical line in the center. All characters were drawn in the order they are shown and right after one another using interrupts

Hi, I have custom HW with STM32L496RGTx. On board I have MicroSD card slot.I would like trying emmc from Hardkernel with microSD reader like this: I use CubeMX 6.1.1 with STM32L4 v1.16.0 package. If I set sdmmc1 to MMC 1bit in FATFS doesn`t offer SD card. Why? How to set up emmc+fatfs+freertos with STM32L496?Please helpThank you

Hi,Need a support for STM32WL5CC development on Software and Hardware schematic level.

hiI work with IAR application (Ver:8.4) for debugging and programming. Sometimes when I am in debug mode and I try to break and reset micro via iar tool bar, I encounter this message and I am not able to break and I have to reprogram. Could you please tell me whats the reason and how I can prevent this problem. Thanks in advance  #IAR

Hi all,An LED is connected as below.PA1 --- Resistor --- LED --- 3.3VBuild test.bin from source code shown below using STM32CubeIDE. while (1) {  /* USER CODE END WHILE */  /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */  HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_1);  HAL_Delay(200); }Create test.dfu from the test.bin.Connect a board to PC via USB, and "STM Device in DFU Mode" appears in Device Manager.Try to upgrade the test.dfu into the board using DfuSeDemo.A message "Your device was plugged in DFU mode. So it is impossible to make sure this file is correct for this device." pops up.Click "YES."A message "Upgrade successful !" is shown.Disconnect USB from the PC, connect BOOT0 to GND and re-connect USB to the PC.An LED blinks with an interval of 2sec. Which maybe a demo exe pre-installed. So, it seems to fail to install my program.Could anybody tell me solution?Thank you.

HI,So I cannot seem to get the time base that I expect out of Timer 6. I have got timer working wiht the right freqnecy however I cannot seem to get timer 6 to work at the expected freqency. It seems to be running twice as fast to what I set it to.I am running a 16 MHz internal, in the diagram attached you should find the rest of the RCC settings. This is the code that goes with that diagram. I have checked it and it should all be good but maybe I missed something.RCC->CR |= RCC_CR_HSEON; //HSE on while((RCC->CR & RCC_CR_HSERDY) != RCC_CR_HSERDY); // Waiting for HSE to be ready RCC->CR &= ~RCC_CR_PLLON; // Disable PLL while((RCC->CR & RCC_CR_PLLRDY)== RCC_CR_PLLRDY); // Wait for pll to turn off RCC->CFGR = RCC_CFGR_PLLSRC_HSE_PREDIV | RCC_CFGR_PLLMUL9 | RCC_CFGR_HPRE_DIV1 | RCC_CFGR_PPRE1_DIV2 | RCC_CFGR_PLLXTPRE_HSE_PREDIV_DIV2;//PLLSCR = HSE/2 , PLLMUL = x9 (72Mhz),AHB prescaler not devided, APB1 Clock /2 = 36MHz (Max=36MHz) RCC->CR |= 0x01000000; //

Hi and happy new year,Migrating from STM32F103 to STM32F303, I mostly copy&paste my code from STM32103 to STM32F303, and only adjust what's necessary. However, I am having troubles with the TIM2 peripheral. Before starting the counter, the CNT register shows the correct reset value of 0x0000. My ARR register is set to 499. When I start the timer, I do not enter my ISR. When I halt the program, I see that the counter has incremented far beyond my ARR value (11052779 when I halted the program). The ISR was not entered between CNT=0 and CNT=11052779).When I let the program run for a while (couple of minutes), the counter keeps incrementing until an overflow occurs (counter value > 2^32), starting from 0 again. When this happens, I enter the ISR, service it and leave the ISR again. Then, my ISR gets entered every 500ms, as supposed. Can anyone tell me, why the counter misses the first ARR, needs to go all the way up to 2^32, overflows, and then matches the ARR regularly in the requir

I am trying to code SPI functionality to connect with an external 16-bit ADC. The STM32 only receives data from the ADC, so only a MISO and SCLK line, along with a Conversion/CS line is required. I am currently using the 32F072BDISCOVERY board to test my code. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the ADC yet, so to perform simple testing to see if my SPI code is working, I figured I could set the MISO line to ground to receive all 0s or to 3V to receive all 1s. However, no matter what I connect the MISO line to, I only receive 1s. To make things simple, I set the SPI peripheral data size on the STM32 to 8 bits. Here is my code. Super simple so I don't know what could be going wrong here. uint8_t spi_value[1];HAL_SPI_Receive(&hspi1, spi_value,1,1000);I am reading out the value over UART and checking it in the live variables section in the debugger. It always is 255, which is the equivalent of all 1s.

My chip is STM32F407

it seems that a write to AXI SRAM very shortly before a system reset (via AIRCR) gets lost. I wrote a very short block of code that simply reads a word from 0x24000000, increments it, writes it back, and resets the processor. I can see that the value is not changing. Using a debug tool, I can see that, if I manually modify the contents of memory, the register used for the increment changes accordingly. Also, if I use the debug tool to display that memory location after the code should have written it, it shows the new value. However, if I let the code write back the new value, then reset the processor, the memory reverts to its old value after the reset (as shown both by reading the memory directly or by displaying the register).I saw this note in the reference manual: “When a half word is written to an internal SRAM and a reset occurs, this half word is not really written to the SRAM after reset. This due to the ECC behavior.? However, this does not apply: I am doing full-word-size

I am using STM32H743BI controller. I need to use backup RAM as nonvolatile ram. So I use external 3V battery and LSE 32.768 crystal for RTC. RTC works well but I can not use backup RAM. I use code like below;PWR->CR1 |= PWR_CR1_DBP;while(((PWR->CR1 & PWR_CR1_DBP) == 0));I do not know is there anything I should do. I can not find any application not or source code about backup RAM.

Hi all,We use TextureMapper bilinear interpolation to rotate the image, but in RGB565 mode, dirty spots will appear on the border of the image. This problem will appear in version 4.15, but not in 4.12.3.Any suggestion to avoid the issue?

Hi, I have a STM32F407 board that is running as a full duplex slave. it receives data from a Raspberry Pi configured as a SPI master. Is there a way to receive data from the RPi in a non-blocking mode? One way I could think of was to set the CSN line as a falling interrupt and then call the receive function within the callback. Unfortunately, I've run out of interrupts (many many endstops!).I tried starting the SPI comm using interrupt mode but that does not seem to work. It transferred only the first two bytes (of the 42 bytes I wanted to transfer). I will try the DMA but I believe that too does a one time transfer and then stops(?)Any other ideas?

My repetition counter register TIM1_RCR value is set to 1, and I configured this to be center-aligned PWM mode.I am triggering TIM1_PORT/TIM1_PIN GPIO just to see the interrupt happening on the logic analyzer, and I expected to see this happens every twice when overflow/underflow happens (RCR is 1)However, as shown in the picture attached, this interrupt happens "twice in a row" IF above line 10 while loop is commented out? And when it is not commented out, it only appears once. So the question is why did this delay happen when trying to clear the status register TIM1_SR?Also, from this picture below, the red arrow shows that in the very beginning, when the first interrupt of Upda
