Hello, I'm using the demoboard B-U585-I-IOT02A with ThreadX. My internal clock is 160 MHz and I currently use it for ThreadX. I'm doing some tasks periodically every one threadX second but it seems that my HSI has a small inaccuracy of 0.3%. But since I want to be more precise than that, I wanted to use the threadX timer with the LSE which is much more precise. I would know if it is possible to do this? I tried basing the SysTick on the LSE and several other manipulations but I keep getting the 0.3% inaccuracy.Thank you in advance,

Hello peopleI am an electrical engineering student and now I am doing my internship in a company. I am supposed to program STM32F4 (C) and I have read a bit about the HAL function (in the Reference Manual). I want to learn more about all the functions of the processor. Can you please recommend me where I can learn more and detailed about it? Is there any tutorial for it or any book?Best regardsMosaab

Hey guys,I try to connect a NUCLEO-F429ZI board with STM32CubeIDE.I have first installed the latest version of the IDE on an Windows 10 machine with the ST-LINK USB drivers that are required. When I know try to run or debug a simple example project the ST-LINK firmware verification opens instantly with the message:No ST-LINK detected! Please connect ST-LINK and restart the debug session. When I run the same project with exact the same settings on another Windows 10 machine, everything works fine and the onboard debugger conntects without any problem. So the hardware and jumper setup is correct. And I used the same USB cable.I've already read the other tasks about this problem, so here comes what differs in my case:With the ST-LINK Utility software I can connect the target device and flash binaries without any problem. I have checked the Windows device manager, too: The ST-LINK debug probe instantly appears when I plug in the cable and runs with the dedicated ST driver as required. I hav

Hi! I develop access system using NFC(14443-A) tags on Windows(.NET) platform + USB ST25R3911B-DISCO. I need simple API to read/write my data to the tag (like person name or ID, nothing secure). What API(and library) I have to use? I'm lost in all possible libs. :( I successfully run (and understood) demo 'Demo_dll_main.cs', but I need write sample too (no any secure things, just plain data). Thanks!

I am trying to create a custom board that boots from SDcard if an SDcard is plugged in, however, if the SDcard is not plugged in I would like the board to boot from the NAND. I want to do this programmable without the boot switch. Is this possible? Is there a sample project somewhere or some documentation?

HiWe observe sudden changes and flickering especially at low level luminosity.attached oscilloscope capture_1 is taken at one of green LED channels. During the dimming cycle, the ghost pattern causes momentary flashes in LED brightness.again oscilloscope capture_2.PNG and oscilloscope capture_3.PNG are taken at one of green channels. In this case LOW side resistor of output driver value decreased; and noticed a noise at ON state. There is also a flicker in this case and we suppose the cause is the noise seen in oscilloscope capture_3.PNG. The flickering and flashing mostly seen at low luminosity values.Do you have and suggestion on fixing these?our design is:LED7708 : 10 channels active, and 8 LEDs on each channel. There are 4 LED7708s on the same board.LED PN : osram LRTB GVTGthanks,Baris

Hi, I'm trying to port my code that uses the FMC to interface a LCD display. The provided configuration works on the STM32L476, but when I port it to the STM32U585 the image is offseted to the right on the display.Main clock (and FMC clock so) are configured to the same frequency.Can you help me finding what is the source of the problem ?L4 code: FMC_Handle.Instance = FMC_NORSRAM_DEVICE; FMC_Handle.Extended = FMC_NORSRAM_EXTENDED_DEVICE; // FMC_Handle.Init FMC_Handle.Init.NSBank = FMC_NORSRAM_BANK1; FMC_Handle.Init.DataAddressMux = FMC_DATA_ADDRESS_MUX_DISABLE; FMC_Handle.Init.MemoryType = FMC_MEMORY_TYPE_SRAM; FMC_Handle.Init.MemoryDataWidth = FMC_NORSRAM_MEM_BUS_WIDTH_8; FMC_Handle.Init.BurstAccessMode = FMC_BURST_ACCESS_MODE_DISABLE; FMC_Handle.Init.WaitSignalPolarity = FMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_POLARITY_LOW; FMC_Handle.Init.WaitSignalActive = FMC_WAIT_TIMING_BEFORE_WS; FMC_Handle.Init.WriteOperation = FMC_WRITE_OPERATION_ENABLE; FMC_Handle.Init.WaitSignal = FMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_DISABLE

Can anyone suggest ,pls, what should be the sequence of the registers configuration for ST25R3911 as a 14443-A reader , and the mechanism for sending and receiving APDU commands. Taking into account that there is no possibility to use the library (not a STM controller is used in the project) I am trying to analyze the dialogue between the ST25 and the controller on the ST25R3911B-DISCO board using log.analyzer (file in attachment) . For example, the user manual for PN7150(NXP) have clear instructions in which register and what value should be written in order to send APDU. If something similar exists for ST - I'lll be glad for any hint .

Hi,I tried using video widget from 4.18 version designer. But when i tried to run simulation its just opening for a moment and closes itself immediately . First I created a project with simulator instead of specific board.added a video widget and selected video file of .avi extension. Are there any steps I skipped or there any specific requirements for video resolution and framerate.#TouchGFXGenerator

I am using slider widget in my project with custom images for base and fill. When I change the base image programmatically, the slider is coming up with filled image as base image. Here is line of code:pwrSaveTimeSlider.setBitmaps(touchgfx::Bitmap(BITMAP_ADV_SETTINGS_SLIDER_BASE_DARK_ID), touchgfx::Bitmap(BITMAP_ADV_SETTINGS_SLIDER_BASE_FILLED_ID), touchgfx::Bitmap(BITMAP_SLIDER_ID));pwrSaveTimeSlider.invalidate();Here is how it comes with after executing above lines of code. As soon as I click down on slider indicator (before even move/drag it) the blue image disappears and the intended base image appears. The blue image is used as filled image which means with slider indicator to far left, the blue image should not show up at all.Is this a known bug with slider widget? BTW, I am using TouchGFX 4.18.1. But I have seen this happening in 4.16.1 as well.

I am working on a project using a few STUSB4710 and some STM32F0 family microcontrollers. I am looking for details about the registers of the STUSB4710. In the datasheet I can find only the I2C register map and the details of the PDO registers but nothing about the others registers. Could you please send me any documentation about I2C registers to help software team to develop the firmware around the STUSB4710.  NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

Hi All, I tested the motor driver STSPIN840. I'm able to limit the current through the motor. But i dont see the Fault Pin going down to zero if the driver limits the current. If i do a short circuit on the output the Fault Pin goes down to Zero. What can i expact for signals on the fault pin if the SNSA is higher than Vref but lower than the overcurrent value of 3A?BR Philipe

Playing with STM32F746 disco, CMSIS-only, directly with registers, in C. CubeIDE 1.8.0, Win10. Gives a good intuitive understanding of how things work. For now, I'm practicing cascading the Timers in various ways (successfully). The thing I failed to understand is "Output Compare Fast Enable".My test project works the following way:1) Timer1 is in one pulse mode. As soon as it has counter enabled, it outputs TRGO. So starting Timer1 also starts Timer3.2) Timer3 is a slave of Timer1 and is a trigger mode slave (counter enables) immediately as Timer1 has counter enabled. Timer3 is in PWM2 mode (counts up, output low while CNT<Compare1), output Channel 1 to PB43) When Timer3 CNT=Compare1, Timer3 makes TRGO and triggers (counter-enables) Timer5 in PWM2 mode, output Channel 4 to PI0Everything works perfectly exactly as I want, I have no problem with any of that. What I don't understand is the definition of the Output Compare Fast Enable. I simply want to try out this function to understan

Hi,I want to detect NFC tag. For that I have a P-NUCLEO-WB55 + X NUCLEO NFC06A1.I have downloaded the zip file (en.X-CUBE-NFC6_v1.1.0) from ST with examples but they are for boards that aren't mine.I tried to:Generate a code for wb55 with CubeMXAdd files (header and source) from the zip fileBut I ended up with somes errors like "/Core/Inc/platform.h:149:55: warning: implicit declaration of function '_Error_Handler'; did you mean 'Error_Handler'?"or "'BUS_SPI1_NSS_GPIO_PORT' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'NUCLEO_SPIx_SCK_GPIO_PORT'?"So my question is what is the right way to create a project with X CUBE NFC6 ?EDIT:Thanks to Brian TIDAL, I have been able to create a project from scratch for WB55 + NFC06A1 shield.Process should be the same for others boards so you will find in attachement a zip containing a tutorial.

Hello STM32-Community,I've got a somewhat mundane problem today. Suddenly a piece of .h file decides to give a warning. I'm using STM32CubeMX and have also rebuilt the project multiple times and I still get this warning: Anyone knows how to fix this issue? I'm just afraid it might also be a warning which can be serious in the future.Kind regardscrackl1ng

Hello! My problem is that I don't see the components in the Additional Software menu.I did everything strictly according to the instructions specified of the official website. Components installed as shown.CubeMX reinstalled, the computer rebooted, but it did not help. Touching Refresh button also has no any effect.I use a STM32H747-DISCOWhat could be the problem?

Is it possible to get the Altium pcb and schematic files for the ST25R3916-disco or nucleo just like the ST25R3911B-disco?
