I've been testing the internal temperature sensor on STM32 Nucleo-L452RE.Therefore, I am using the internal Macors as well as a self-build function to calculate the temperature. Both yield the same value, thus the same constant negative offset of roughly -6°C.The offset appears over the whole temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. I have verified the temperature set in the climate chamber with several other sensors. I have checked everything I can think of. Maybe some of you can find the mistake I keep making in my code, which explains the strange behaviour.Thank you in advance!Best regards,Jan#include "main.h" #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h>   ADC_HandleTypeDef hadc1; UART_HandleTypeDef huart2;   void SystemClock_Config(void);   static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);   static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void);   static void MX_ADC1_Init(void);   #define TEMP_CAL2 110  #define TEMP_CAL1 30  #define TS_CAL1 ((uint16_t*) (0x1FFF75A8UL)) #d

HiI'm using the Random Number Generator in interrupt mode and am getting HAL_RNG_ERROR_SEED errors. I'm not getting clock errors. I use HAL to drive the rng.The errors are quite infrequent, I don't have stats but probably 1 in 100000.Are these errors to be expected or am I potentially doing something wrong?I am running the CPU at 280 MHz. The clock settings are implemented by HAL and I haven't changed these. The problem I have is that to clear the error you have to restart the rng which take up to 200 ms.The entropy of the numbers isn't critical in my app as I'm only using the rng to purterbate test data around a mean. So I am thinking that I could just let the rng run without resetting it.RegardsRob

I've followed all the steps from:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_Packagehttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/PC_prerequisiteshttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageCreating openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31 distribution installation, with bitbake st-image-weston, error rises:(..layers/meta-openembedded/meta-oe/dynamic-layers/meta-python/recipes-extended/mozjs/mozjs_60.9.0.bb:do_compile) failed with exit code '1'Tried:bitbake -b mozjs -D -f bitbake mozjs -c cleanall bitbake mozjs -c compilebut the same error occurs. Also tried these solutions from the forum, without any success (the error is the same):mozjs60.9.0.bb returens error while compile (st.com)mozjs_60.9.0.bb:do_compile failed with exit code '1 (st.com) This is my 3rd attempt with a fresh Virtual Machine (Ubuntu 20.04.2.0 LTS), i'm pretty sure I've followed all the steps. For the Virtual Machine I have the following specs:Cores: 6Ram: 4.5GBDisk Space: 300

I am using HAL_I2C_Slave_Receive_DMA() function and am putting flags in each of the Callbacks which I have redefined in my code from the weak ones in stm32g0xx_hal_i2c.c. I have also tried putting breakpoints in the callback functions to see if it foes there. There is no indication that it is.My HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA() function is working. And it is calling the HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) function. So I know interrupts are turned on. I did not have to enable anything in the interrupts the HAL took care of that. I went into stm32g0xx_hal_conf.c and modified the line #define USE_HAL_I2C_REGISTER_CALLBACKS  1uSo it used all the callbacks. Looking at the hi2c1 structure, there are valid addresses in each of the callback pointers. Right now I cannot verify whether they are using the default weak ones or mine. But according to the documentation if I define them they should override the weak ones. When I use the HAL_I2C_Mem_Write_DMA() in the master STM32G031K

The readme.txt file for BLE_HeartRate_ota contains the following:@note This application is not supported by CubeMx but has been copied from the project BLE_HeartRate generated by CubeMx with some modifications in order to be able to download it with the BLE_Ota application. The steps to be done to move from the BLE_HeartRate application to the BLE_HeartRate_ota application are : - Copy the full folder BLE_HeartRate - Replace the linker file stm32wb55xx_flash_cm4.icf by stm32wb55xx_flash_cm4_ota.icf ( this adds the placement of the two sections TAG_OTA_START and TAG_OTA_END ). - Remove the update of SCB->VTOR in the file system_stm32wbxx.c ( The VTOR is already set by the BLE_Ota application and shall not be changed to a different value) - set BLE_CFG_OTA_REBOOT_CHAR to 1 in ble_conf.hHowever, comparing the two source directories I see many more differences and find it difficult to identify and merge all of the required modifications. BLE_HeartRate_ota does not appear t

STM32H7B3I-DK - Discovery kit use NX3215SA-32.768KHZ-EXS00A-MU00525 Crystal. Crystal Load Capacitance is 6, 9, 12.5 pF but STM32H7B3I-DK - Discovery kit use 1.5pF. Why it use different load capacitance.

Good morning, I am thinking to drive a LCD backlight with ic STCS05 and to control it with enable and pwm signal from a cpu. Led driving voltage of leds matrix of my LCD is 16.5V with 140 mA typical current (see picture attached). Do I have to supply STCS05 and led with a regulated 16.5V power supply (Vin in attached picture)? Thanks in advance. Best Regards. Enrico

But RTC clock behinds real clock. While the product is running, the lag increases even more. But when the product is turned off, when it is turned on after 2 days, the rest continues as it was 2 days ago. In other words, I am experiencing the lagging event while the product is running. When the product is turned off, there is no lag.

While debugging an application on the M0+ core of a STM32WL55JC device, the debugger showed what appears the incorrect execution of an ARM machine instruction. The codesnippet at the beginning of the execution is shown in Image #1:(the original C code compiled is a trivial "switch" section, but this is irrelevant)Everything proceeds as expected until the instruction shown in Image #2. The execution of the "ldr   r3, [pc, #396] " instruction @0803845c, however, seems to yield an incorrect result (as shown in image #3):expected -> r3 = 0x80385ec (as also reported in the comment placed by the compiler)obtained -> r3 =  0x803a868From the memory dump (image #4), the opcode of the instruction appears to be correct according to ARMv6-M Architecture Reference Manual (DDI0419D_ARMv6-M_arm.pdf), section A6.7.27, p. Hi!STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0 won't start on a machine I and my colleagues are working on.Unfortunately, only the following error dialog window pops up:It's quite hard to debug the issue without even having a log file.Starting stm32cubeidec.exe from command line yields the following output:H:\>C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.8.0\STM32CubeIDE\stm32cubeidec.exe java.lang.IllegalStateException: Error initializing storage for Equinox container. at org.eclipse.osgi.internal.framework.EquinoxContainer.<init>(EquinoxContainer.java:110) at org.eclipse.osgi.launch.Equinox.<init>(Equinox.java:53) at org.eclipse.osgi.launch.Equinox.<init>(Equinox.java:46) at org.eclipse.core.runtime.adaptor.EclipseStarter.startup(EclipseStarter.java:315) at org.eclipse.core.runtime.adaptor.EclipseStarter.run(EclipseStarter.java:251) at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.j

Good day,On a brand new SMT32WB5MMG MCU, I have found that the One-Time Programmable area is not empty. See the image. The OTP area starts at 0x1FFF7000. There is also some data right before the OTP area - what is that doing there as well? For context, I'm using the STM32WB5MMG in a custom application (i.e. not a NUCLEO board). I have seen the same issue (and the exact same data) on two different boards.I did not encounter this issue when using an STM32WB55RGV6 previously.Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi there,on the EVSPIN32G4 are the STM32G431 MCU and the STM32F103CB MCU. Currently I only have the STM code generation programmed forSTM32G431 MCU. Is it possible to program the STM32F103CB MCU with the STM Workbench too, so that I can e.g. control the AD converters from this STM32F103CB MCU too?And can i transfer data from one MCU to the other? Thanks and best regardsBernd

Hi @Sebastien DENOUAL  I have example code BLE sensor demo in that they have 3 sensor value and one free fall characteristics. One is acceleration , temp, press, and free fall. The acceleration sensor value is Conntiniously updating over the app one we enable the notifications is enable. But the temp and press value is read only they are not updating over app one we enable the notifications. I wanted to update temp and pressure value Continuesly once we enable the notifications. How I can do that in example code. What change I have to make in BLE sensor demo example. @Sebastien DENOUAL @Salvo @Salvatore DI SALVO

HelloThe new version 1.3.0 of STM32CubeMonitor is available on st.com.You can download it on https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemonitor.html Click on "Get latest" to download the version 1.3.0. What are the changes in this version ?We have updated node-RED : STM32CubeMonitor is now based on the version node-RED 1.3.7 , with dashboard 2.29.0. Other dependencies have also been updated to have an consistent package. Many users have raised question about CSV export. We have proposed some solutions using node-RED nodes. (wiki export csv) This is very flexible, but need to add many nodes in the flow. So we have added an option to save the data directly in csv format in the processing node : It is now very easy to export data in csv format. Some users would like to be notified in the dashboard when the symbol file has changed. (symbol file = .elf .axf .out....) There is now a new output on the variable node which can be used to connect a notification box. When the file has change

HelloA new version 1.4.0 of STM32CubeMonitor is available on st.com.You can download it on https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemonitor.htmlClick on "Get latest" to download the version 1.4.0.What are the changes in this version ?The management of multiple probes has been redesigned to use multiple threads in the computer. On previous versions, all probes were managed by a single thread, and the acquisition speed was reduced when new probes were added. With the new architecture, each probes use a separate thread and performances are improved. This change also provide a better accuracy of acquisition with a single probe because it is managed in a dedicated thread. Node-RED® is updated to version 2 (V2.1.5) :Node-RED® dashboard updated to V3.1.3. Update of additional ui nodes (serial-port 0.15.0, ui-led 0.4.11, finite-statemachine 2.1.3)Note : The control messages of node-red-contrib-finite-statemachine change from v2.1.0 onwards. Details: In the reference manual for stm32f303vet (rev 8) Figure 14, the PLL source is HSE by default if HSE is selected as source. In Page 140 bit Bits16:15, it says the default is HSE/2 and so on.This point is important since different stm32f303 variants have different diagram about PLL source.
