I have a new project on an STM32H7A3 processor with a  microSDHC Card. We want to read/write files with FatFS. In another project with STM32H7A3 we have SDHC Cards working perfectly. Code is created with the latest release of CubeMX 6.5.0 and HAL V: 1.10.0.In the new project we had to use microSD card for reduced space reasons. With the microSD the call to fmount returns "FR_NO_FILESYSTEM". But on the PC the card is readable and has one folder installed.I stepped through the source code and fount that the "find_volume" routine returns FR_NO_FILESYSTEM due to "fmt=3" .Currently we have no idea for a possible solution. The pins are working and pin connection is checked, data is sent/received on the MISO/MOSI lines.Clockspeed was 25 MHz, reducing to 20 and 16.6 MHz did not solve the problem.USE_SD_TRANSCEIVER = 0.Has anybody an idea where to look at further? Is there any futher switch necessary to specify "micro"SDHC cards instead of SDHC?Thank you for any comments.BR G

If the Data cache is disabled to solve dma data coherency, it reduce performance a lot?  I know functions SCB_ClearDCache(), SCB_InvalidateDCache() to solve that issue. But there is a risk that an error message will not occur even if omitted by mistake. And another method using MPU is too difficult in freeRTOS. So I want to disable the data cache as long as it doesn't degrade performance much. Does this cause any other problems?I don't know which flash interface to use, AXI or TCM. Are there any restrictions on having to choose between the two? If not, does it matter which one I use?

Hello,Today, I'm using the MX25LM51245GXDI00 external flash memory on the demoboard B-U585I-IOT02A to store some data and to retrieve them using STM32CubeProgrammer. In order to do it, after erasing a sector (4K bytes), I configure OCTOSPI2 (dedicated to the flash memory) to memory mapped mode and write a page (256 bytes). Then I have to switch off memory mapped mode and turn it on again after in order to be able to write another page (even if it is in the same sector than previous). So it's quite weird for me, especially that when I'm using cubeProgrammer, I only have to configure the flash memory to memory mapped mode only once to be able to read all external flash memory. Moreover, I've implemented OCTOSPI1 to use with external PSRAM memory APS6408L‑3OB‑BA and for this memory, I can switch octospi1 to memory mapped mode only once in order to be able to write and read all addresses in SRAM.So my question is the following : Is it mandatory to turn on and off the memory mapped for each

Hello,I would like to put many pins on my UFBGA STM32 to ground, and configure in software as input or even better output( must be done correctly first time )But now I am wondering, if I am planning to BOOT processor with BOOT pin high, and use UART as bootloader, does STM32 will initiate any other protocol and try to drive pins that could be connected to ground ? And second question :If I am using UART1 as bootloader, and STM32 has many position to that PIN, how does it know what pin should I bootloader use ? Is there correct single pin for bootloader operation or any USART1 pin would work ?

I recently go the 32F413HDISCOVERY board and downloaded the projects and examples to a local folder and imported it all of it into STM32CubeIDE.In the STM32CubeIDE I was able to open and modify the Test_001 project and blink LED2 and LED3. Next, I wanted to send and receive some text from HyperTerminal on the PC, but it turns out the STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver does not include anything UART related in the Test_001 project. The attached screen shot (Test_001 Drivers.jpg) shows everything in Test_001 \Drivers\STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver\Inc...stm32f4xx_hal_uart.h is missing. How can I enable (bring in) stm32f4xx_hal_uart.h in the Test_001 project?

hey there I have a question: can a micro, say stm32f407 detect low power? for example is there a HAL function to indicate VDD lower that 3.3v?(this way any time that power is going, I can for example save everything before power off)

When generate code via stm32cubeIDE from .ioc ,It Randomly generate line MX_DMA_Init(); Before / After other Module .Problem is, When other module have some DMA config inside , for me ,it ADC , But MX_DMA_Init(); generate after MX_ADC1_Init(); , That mean __HAL_RCC_DMA2_CLK_ENABLE(); and __HAL_RCC_DMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); inside MX_DMA_Init(); not ativate when ADC config DMA inside HAL_ADC_MspInit , Clock for DMA is not enable when ADC DMA config happen, So that configs are void and don't have effect. For me it appear randomly I temperaly fix by add __HAL_RCC_DMA2_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_DMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); in /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */Did we have some way to fixed the other of mx init sequence?Sorry for my english

..

When we program the any stm32 mcu, we can choice between erase the memory or no in STM32CubeProgrammer. Why in code time we can't write in flash without erasing the memory?

Hello,I'm doing some development work with an STEVAL-IDB011V1 dev board. I'm targeting very low power and so I would like to verify the numbers listed in the datasheet. In DEEPSTOP mode at room temperature, I am expecting something around1 μA of supply current, per table 24 of the BlueNRG-LP datasheet. However, I'm currently measuring about 5.7 μA at 1.8 V.I'd like to make sure my methodology in measuring this is correct. My procedure is as follows:I flash the board with code that runs SystemInit(), configures all GPIOs to have a pulldown resistor and to output low, and then enter DEEPSTOP. I then unplug the board and remove all jumpers (JP1 - JP5). I connect the positive terminal of my 1.8 V power supply to pin 2 of JP1 (named "VBLUE" in the STEVAL-IDB011V1 data brief) and the negative terminal to ground.I get a somewhat steady 5.7 μA of supply current from my power supply. I also tried connecting VBRD to ground, which changes my supply current to 13.8 μA. I'm not running any timers, s

I have two peripherals on my board that I need to communicate with using 3-wire, half-duplex SPI. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of, but I am unable to communicate with either chip.Here is my SPI1 init function:static void MX_SPI1_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 1 */ /* SPI1 parameter configuration*/ hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_1LINE; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT; hspi1.Init.BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_64; hspi1.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi1.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCPolynomial = 0x0; hspi1.Init.NSSPMode = SPI_NSS_PULSE_DIS

I would like to navigate some HTML page from the LCD of the board. These HTML pages contain text and images.Do you know if something already exists and I can put it on my projects?  Thanks.

I loaded STM32MP157D-DK1 board configuration in STM32CubeIDE and used the generated device tree files for U-Boot and TF-A compilation. The file MYPROJECT/CA7/DeviceTree/MYPROJECT/tf-a/stm32mp157d-myproject-mx-fw-config.dts contains this line:#include "stm32mp15-ddr-512m-fw-config.dts"This causes a fatal error during tf-a compilation due to "No such file or directory".I searched the internet for this missing file but only found a dead link here: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_TF-A_FW_CONFIGThanks for any help in advance.

I managed to make the M4 WWDOG to work.I got on Linux cmd line:remoteproc remoteproc0: crash detected in m4: type watchdogHow can I catch and handle this events programmatically on a shell script, C or Python ?

The sensor LPS27 is amazing, it only has one problem: it is impossible to buy . it is out of stock. The new LPS28 sensor is even better, but at the moment its sale is very limited. When could it be fully available?

Hi guys, i just spent a few hours fiddling with the STEVAL-GMBL and adapter board, and i think i found an error in the datasheet. Not sure if should post here or just open a ticket.Page 5 of the file DB3710, as well as pages 6,7,26 of file DB3710 show the "STEVAL-UKI001V1 adapter board schematic diagram", the relevant part is the "10 to 20 pin Serial Wire Debug (SWD) adapter". The diagram doesn't show the notch of the header, just "J1" as information. Either the J1 is misplaced here, or on the "STEVAL-UKI001V1" board, as they are in opposite corners of the connector. In the datasheet, J1 is in the top left next to pin 1, VDD_TARGET, on the board it is printed on the bottom right, pin 20, GND. Since there is no notch to properly differentiate the rotation, readers will definitively use wrong pins.

This is a problem that has bothered me for months.I hope someboby could give me some help.Firstly I use STM32Programmer to flash the STM32MP157F-DK2, it runs really fun. After I rebuild the kernel V3.1.0 followed by Wiki and use "scp arch/arm/boot/uImage root@192.168.7.1:/boot" many modules can't be probed successfully. The complete boot log is in boot1.txt.So I have to compile the modules and use "scp -r install_artifact/lib/modules/* root@192.168.7.1:/lib/modules" to replace the original. There're still some problems. The complete boot log is in boot2.txt.Only the following problemsWhat's the galcore and how to solve it?Now the board can't launch the default applications automatically and I can't clicke to started them manually.

Hello - I was using the results of aci_hal_get_anchor_period() just a few months ago, but now in v1.13.3 BLE_full_stack, it is returning ERR_UNKNOWN_HCI_COMMAND. Is there some command that needs to be sent to enable getting the anchor period? If there is no way to successfully invoke this in v1.13.3, please - what is the last version in which it was enabled?

In v1.13.3 BLE full_stack it looks like general scanning is locked-out forever after terminating a direct connection establishment procedure. Using the Nucleo dev boards as a master and a slave, start general scanning with aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc(), return is SUCCESS. The target slave is found, scanning is stopped and connection with it is started by master with aci_gap_create_connection(), return is SUCCESS. Before this connection completes, the slave goes out of range or just stops advertising and goes to its deep sleep. But then connection establishment is hung forever on the master. So, master cancels this indefinitely "hung" procedure with aci_gap_terminate_gap_proc(GAP_DIRECT_CONNECTION_ESTABLISHMENT_PROC), return is SUCCESS and soon receive the ACI_GAP_PROC_COMPLETE_VSEVT_CODE with the status of SUCCESS and the procedure code of GAP_DIRECT_CONNECTION_ESTABLISHMENT_PROC, all as expected. The problem now is master can no longer re-start scanning, call to aci_gap_start_

Hi all,I'm using STM32H7A3 MCU and I want chip current version of chip to identifies the revision of the silicon chip. So how may I identifies for STM32, If anybody knows the way to get this, then please help me.Thank You so much all, Kaushal Panchal.

Was old project, works well, need make minor changes with not related to ADC functions, not look press "migrate" to latest version. was confused all ADC operations fault. when check what wrong, found ADC lost clocking.Take new computer, install clean last version of Cube IDE 1.9.0, make new H750VBT6 project.look on the clock - ADC clocking tab gray color.enable ADC - look again, again gray colorAlso dissapear "clock prescaler" setting in the ADC settingsmeanwhile same test with USART for example on the clocking tab.if USART disabled - gray colorif USART enabled - instanly request adjust clockingEven if i force copy old sourse code, with latest libraries, ADC dead....

I'm wanting to save user data (less than 50bytes) and factory data (less than 100bytes) to internal flash, however the user data may changes everyday and it may overrun datasheet's 10 K erases and writes. So whether the MCU or the other flash sectors where saved main program will work well if the sector (such as sector 3 ) at which EEPROM emulate breakdown? I'm using STM32F42x.

Build ErrorError[Li006]: duplicate definitions for "HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback";void HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(SPIx_NSS_Port, SPIx_NSS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); }I use the same in both files ?any way ? please help

Hello all, I have a design that is designed with a STM32. The SWDIO pin and SWCLK pin are pogo test points and difficult to solder wires to connect to the ST link programmer. The design has the BOOT0 pin pulled up to VDD. The I2C lines are the only way I can program the board. Once the board is programmed, can it be reprogrammed using the I2C lines for firmware development? Thank youVignesh
