I am working on an application which requires the use of the ADC1 peripheral as well as the COMP1 & COMP2 peripherals. There does not appear to be anything in the datasheet against this, but there is a note in the comparator driver:
''COMP1 comparator and ADC can't be used at the same time since they share the same ADC switch matrix (analog switches).'' -stm8l15x_comp.c
Is this a limitation of the driver, or of the chip? If it is a chip limitation, could someone please point me in the direction of the datasheet that mentions it? If it is a driver limitation, does anyone know if there is there a work-around?
