Hi,

I am trying to connect STR912 based target(self made PCB) board with Parallel Port Based Jtag hardware.

This is first time I am working on STR9. I am unable to detect target device through H-JTAG.

I am facing following problems..

I have kept TAP configuration as suggested in H-JTAG User Manual Fig 3-12

TAP Num – 0 IReg Len – 5

TAP Num – 1 IReg Len – Auto

TAP Num – 2 IReg Len – 8

Iam getting device id as 0x12CB3020

When the TAP configuration is not done I got 0x02471E40

Both are invalid device ids.

In site link

http://www.hjtag.com/pic/TAPConfig.jpg

a different TAP configuration is mentioned like this.

TAP Num – 1 IReg Len – 5

TAP Num – 1 IReg Len – Auto

TAP Num – 1 IReg Len – 8

I have not yet tried out this TAP configuration.

Please let me know which is correct.

Is Target Reset is must as shown in Fig:3-11.

And also can I use nSRST instead of nTRST to reset target hardware for the figure shown in 3-11 of H-JTAG user manual as I do not have support for nTRST in my JTAG hardware.

By seeing the change of Device ID received when TAP configuration is changed can I ensure chip is working to some extent.

Please let me know how I could proceed further in these circumstances.

Thanks in advance for the support,

The device has been detected using the configuration

TAP Num – 1 IReg Len – 5

TAP Num – 1 IReg Len – Auto

TAP Num – 1 IReg Len – 8

NO. I could not. We are Using Keil ULINK to do it.
