CANNOT FIND "Connect Under Reset" option in the Target -> settings menu in the STM32 ST_LINK utility. The primary problem is that i cannot connect my st_link to the utility. I have aready updated the firmware

I haven't that option on the list, i only have Normal and Hot Plug options

Not much to work with here. Doesn't find the ST-LINK? Doesn't find the Target the ST-LINK is attaching too?
What version of the Utility? What board or ST-LINK pod involved.

Ah, V1 has its limitations...
But you should be able to do "connect under reset" also "manually" - hold the NRST line low, while attempting to connect. If it does not work, you have a serious problem.
Is the original target (the STM8) disconnected? Do you use a short cable to connect to the STM32 target?
