Hello @AndriiGalinovskyi

We apologize for the inconvenience, but kubuntu doesn't figure in the list of supported OS mentioned in UM2237 page 12. I suggest if you're using STM32CubeProgrammer to switch to any of the linux distributions listed in the user manual.

I just tried doing the update from v2.17 to v2.18 in ubuntu 24.04.1 and it works just fine.
