StunningTechnology

Hello,

What are the newest versions of STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer that still work under Windows 7?  I have searched high and low but could not find a simple list of versions and host system requirements.  Thank you.

Hello @StunningTechnology

According to the Release notes, we have V1.7.0 for STM32CubeIDE and V2.15.0 for STM32CubeProgrammer as last versions that has been declared as supported on Windows 7. For later versions, we can't guarantee any behavior.

Best Regards.

@STTwo-32That says version 1.10 for the STM32CubeIDE, but is that the latest?

Also, it does not mention STM32CubeProgrammer.

Dear @StunningTechnology ,

Microsoft ended support of  Windows 7 by 14th January 2020 :

End of support for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7 | Microsoft Windows

by default all STM32CubeProgrammer versions prior to that date are supported and I can confirm that version 2.5.0 is supporting Windows 7.

More details on versions are here :

@STOne-32Thank you; is there such a chart for STM32CubeIDE?  I was trying to avoid downloading, installing and trying each version of both tools.

@STOne-32  Thank you, but do you internally have access to old Release Notes so I can see exactly where the Windows 7 support ended?  I'm just trying to save much time installing/trying/uninstalling each tool, for many versions.
