No st link connected

I have st-link v2 with Firmware version V2J39S7.

I have been trying to debug through STM32 cube ide but it says " NO ST-LINK DETECTED".

I have also tried via Cube programmer and updated the stlink but still of no use. Have done the boot thing too.0693W00000Nq5d4QAB.pngCould anyone say whats possibly going wrong.

Is this an Authentic ST-LINK or a Clone ?

Directly connected, or via Hub ?

Until it works properly under STM32 Cube Programmer, and the upgrade tools, perhaps not worth bothering moving to CubeIDE

Up vote any posts that you find helpful, it shows what's working..

This is a Stlink clone, and it connected directly.

And also it is only detected on "STM32 ST link utility" but not from CUBE programmer or CUBE IDE

I am loading it by enabling the UART in CUBE programmer

Sounds like it's not a very good clone, then?

That's always a risk you take with clones...

You might try contacting the supplier - but not very likely you'll get any help. :\

yeah, sure.

A lot of videos that I checked said atleast it is possible program the controller through this STLINK on CUBE IDE, but it happens to be not possible. Is there any other way to follow up for Memory traces in UART then!!

Again, that's the risk you take with clones - they work until they don't!

It looks like you've bricked yours with an incompatible/failed firmware update.

They're cheap - just get another one.

(or a genuine ST-Link/V2 is not that expensive).

"Is there any other way to follow up for Memory traces in UART"

That's a different question - start a new thread on that. And please give a link here to that new thread, so that we can find it.

I am also in the same situation.

Is your problem solved?

If so, how did you solve the problem?

I have several STlinks, and as a result of testing, the new stlink I bought shows the same problem as you, but there was no problem with the old STlink.

Hello, I didnot find any. so I thought of buying a nucleo Board instead
