I cannot run updates from within Cube IDE.
Help>Check For Updates throws the following error dialog:
Unable to read repository at
https://sw-center.st.com/stm32cubeide/updatesite1/.
Unable to read repository at
http://sw-center.st.com/stm32cubeide/eclipse.
I have tried the following:
- manually clear p2 cache and restart IDE
- add https:// variant for the updatesite1
- remove http:// variant for updatesite1
- append "/" to the end of all Available software paths that don't have one.
- remove and replace all Available Software Sites
- export Available software paths from another PC without this issue, import into my PC.
- launch the IDE from command line with stm32cubeide.exe -clean
- reduce number of Available Software Sites to 2 only (eclipse repository, updatesite1)
- Help>Install New Software : uncheck "contact all update sites during install to find required software"
None have worked.
I originally had 1.3.0 ide on my machine, it also could not be updated (checksum error that time). I manually downloaded and installed 1.4.0. But the update problem has persisted in this new form. I need to upgrade to 1.4.2 to collaborate with the rest of my team.
What else can I try?

Hi Dfarr.1
Thanks for reporting, there was an issue with the repository.
It should be fixed right now.
Could you reload every checked repository sites from Window > Preferences > Install/Update > Available Software Sites and try to update again (Help > Check for update) ?
Paste there any error which might occurs during the refresh.

For what it's worth, I get the same error currently and my updates have worked in the past. It might be a transient issue that will get fixed if you just wait.

Reload Available Software Sites successful.
First attempt at Check For Updates failed with a SHA256 error. I closed all projects, changed the updatesite1 address to https:// and added "/" on the end and ran again. It worked with those changes.
Thanks for the help.

Thank you! I have finally managed to update CubeIDE too using your suggestion.
I added a new Software Sites option starting with https:// then unticked all the others and it worked just fine. Should I re-tick any of the other options?
On a related note, do you also update the Eclipse CDT from the Eclipse Marketplace or is that not needed?

Sorry @Community member , I'm not in a position to offer any further advice. I'm just an average user like yourself and I can really only vouch for my suggested solution, nothing more.
