Any improvements in enlarging the voltage scale of STM32 series to match battery chemistries available today (and thus avoiding external parts)?

So far all STM32 product support up to 3.6V. Currently there is no plan to increase supply voltage above this limit as it's linked to cmos technology used. Many GPIO's are 5V tolerant.
