sgtl5000 codec dsi i2c

Hi All,

i am using stm32mp1 with i2c on sgtl5000 codec and control lines are over carrier i2s

i am getting kernel soc sgtl5000.c error

sgtl5000 0-000a: Error reading chip id -6

Any reference dts on i2s1 would be helpful.. and suggest on kernel error .

Hi Bernard,

i am back on Audio , MCLK I2S issue, clock is getting enabled after rootfs some audio init script gets clock enable, but not possible before thiis, where sgtl5000 probe gets defer expires.

so may i get input any patch in uboot side where i can get i2s mclk gets enable before audio codec sgtl500 gets probe.

finally i got sound working, following are observations:

speaker test utility works perfectly
aplay works but i can play only wav file
gst-play-1.0 play video, but no audio heard,

Has any one played mp3 file using

gst-play-1.0 file:///run/media/sda1/AudioFiles

is there anything am missing ?

even i tried .webm file as example

i see outs
