STM32WL Geolocation

Does someone tried to have geolocation somehow with STM32WL Lora Stack?

Supposedly it's included in the protocol using RSSI or TDOA against different gateways.

Another way is to have direct link without gateway of known position nodes and the different RSSI.

Hello,

There is two different things : The LoRa modulation and the LoRaWAN Stack which describe the architecture of a network using LoRa modulation.

Concerning geolocation, with the LoRaWAN Stack, we never tested it on our devices, because it's supported by the backend interfaces, and moreover this is an optional feature.

If you only use LoRa modulation, without gateways, you can do geolocation, but it's an application layer feature, so it's up to you to develop your own program to process the RSSI, and determine the location of your end device.
