How can I copy some elements of a screen from one TouchGFX project to another one with TouchGFX Designer?

I have two projects which are based on TouchGFX. Now I thought I could copy some text, rectangles, lines and button elements from one project to the other one by simply copy and paste within the Designer. But unfortunately this is not working. Does anybody know if there is a way to do this?

Hello @GS@S ,

In TouchGFXDesigner, there is the "Import GUI" tab in the "Edit" menu that enables you to copy the UI from a project to another :

Just click that tab and select the project you want to import the UI from.

Hope that that helped you,

Yoann some elements isnt full GUI

Agreed. Import replaces the contents of the open project with the contents of the imported project. Copying individual screens and other elements is only possible by tedious and potentially error prone editing of the project's ".touchgfx" file.

Reuse of TouchGFX content is an issue that has been discussed in the forum for several years, but as yet there has been no progress in that area.
