Hello. I'm trying to obtain CRC value from CRC peripheral. It's supposed to give me 8 bit number. Instead it gives me 32 bit number. What am I doing wrong? Below is the code and program outputs.

>>What am I doing wrong? Below is the code and program outputs
What's the test vector / expectation of values returned here?
crc_out = HAL_CRC_Calculate(&hcrc, crc_input_arr, 4); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t *)crc_out, 4, HAL_MAX_DELAY);
crc_out is a 32-bit variable, it needs to be a pointer and address for the HAL_UART_Transmit() function.
You've got a blind cast of the wrong type. would need to be (uint8_t *)&crc_out
