Hi,

We want to use the Type C connector with STM32 as "STM32 USB2.0 host conversion for USB Type-C platforms" for 5V, 500mA application. We have got one application circuit in STM32 application circuit. (Fig 11)

Introduction to USB Type-C® Power Delivery for STM32 MCUs and MPUs - Application note

In this circuit, RP1 and RP2 pullup resistors are pulled up to 5V and connected to ADC pins. But, the ADC pins are 3.3V compitable. Can you please let us know is it fine to Pull up the ADC pins to 5V rail?.

Thanks.

To conclude

  • Vbus load switch with accurate rise time, Vbus discharge, Vbus OCP are mandatory
  • ESD protections on 2x ADC Is highly recommended

You can refer to section 1.2.4 5 V only current capability in Getting started with the X-NUCLEO-SRC1M1 USB Type-C™ Power Delivery source expansion board based on TCPP02-M18 for STM32 Nucleo - User manual

And here are the spec requirements

Hi @Aakash_Dey

I suggest you follow the example provided here Schematic diagrams - in X-NUCLEO-SRC1M1 even though I assume this is not exactly the schematics you are looking for. CC lines are tied to 330 pF 50 V capacitors that I am not sure they are mandatory.
