uart/usart communication

I am using nucleo-144stm32f429zi uart and usart. I want to create a rs485 serial communication. Can I connect FTDI USB-RS485-WE-1800-BT directly to nucleo-144 uart/usart port? FTDI CABLE IS 5VDC? nucleo-144stm32f429zi pin can be compatible to 5VDC?
