Hello,
I would like to enable overdrive mode on my N657X0. This chip supports 800MHz operation but is usually limited to 600MHz. The manuals specifies to enable overdrive mode before configuring the CPU clock to reach the maximum frequency. I was wondering if there are any - for beginners like me not obvious - ways for the chip or its peripherals to get damaged when enabling overdrive mode.
Kind regards,
Len

Dear @Len_Heske ,
Here is a knowledge article on how to set the STM32N6 up to 800MHz safely How to use the STM32N6 in overdrive mode - STMicroelectronics Community
The risk of damage may come from another improper voltage configuration, not the overdrive mode, especially setting high-speed I/O bits while VDDIOx is at 3.3V.

Hello,
thank you for your answer.
For now, I'm only trying to maximize CPU and NPU clocks. I'm not yet trying to code a project that would require me to decrease I/O voltage. So just enabling overdrive mode and configuring the PLLs and ICs accordingly, would not damage the device?
Kind regards
Len
