stm32h503rbxx upload error

ThinkVision

Hi,

I would like to upload a program to h503rbt6 version stm32 chip but having trouble. I' m using a bare chip by using a dip converter and jumper cables. Earlier I've tested the same method and no problem observed. Below is the output of the upload window. So any idea very welcome regarding to possible reason and solution.

"Target unknown error 19,

Error in initializing ST-LINK device.

"

Best wishes

Hello @ThinkVision ,

First let me welcome you to the STM32 Community.

Try to upgrade the ST-Link firmware version, then disconnect and connect your board.

Make sure to use the latest release of STM32CubeProgrammer and STM32CubeIDE.

If the problem is not resolved: through STM32CubeProgrammer, try set the connection mode to "Under Reset" and perform a "Full Chip Erase" to clear the flash memory.

Please refer to this article How to solve debugger connection issues (st.com) which may help you to solve your problem.

Dear Imen, thank you for your response.

I've checked for the updates, all the software/firmwares are latest versions. I couldn' t figure out how to perform a "Full Chip Erase". Could you please give some more details how to do this?

Another stm32 chip (G030xx) connected over a dip converter works very well. I' m thinking about if the chips are fake. Any possibility to check this?

Best wishes
