I have a similar problem with the same operating system. When I try:

cd to directory where the file SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.15.1.linux is located

$ sudo ./SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.15.1.linux

The installer runs but always generates the following message:

sudo: unable to execute ./SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.15.1.linux: No such file or directory

Tried the default openjdk as well as oracle java.

The last version of of the installer that worked was SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.13.0.linux with oracle java. Later versions do not. Hopefully one day this problem will resolved.

Regards ...

sudo java -jar SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.15.1.exe -console

seems to work. STM32CubeMX is working on default openjdk supplied with ubuntu.

Dear all,

We do not reproduce your issue.

Please note STM32CubeMX on Linux is a 32 bit application. Do you confirm that you have 32 bit compliant packages installed on your Linux 64 bit?

The tool also requires: java 1.7.0_45 or later.

Best regards

Hello All,

CubeMX-4.19 with oracle java version 1.8.0_121, on Ubuntu 64 bits has been tested.

IT works well.

I was able to install, launch and creates a project.

Has this thread was long ago, I guess everything has been fixed since.

Kind regards

Sirma
