I'm trying to create my own library,
When I use HAL_SPI_Transmit(), it gets stuck at
void HardFault_Handler(void) @stm32f4xx_it.c
I also check SPI_Transmit before calling my own function, it is working there. But, in my function (contained different than main) does not work. Any Idea?
Thanks already!

void ILI9341_SendCommand(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, uint8_t data)
{
HAL_GPIO_WritePin(WRX_Port, WRX_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // SET WRX HIGH
HAL_GPIO_WritePin(CS_Port, CS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // SET CS LOW
while( HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi, data, 1, 100) != HAL_OK);
Pass the address to the data, not the value of the data itself.
while( HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi, &data, 1, 100) != HAL_OK);

For now, I turn my problem into a simpler situation. in "main.c" file.
This is my pre-define for my function
the variable I create inside the main function
the place I call the function
and the function itself (in the main file)
I knew structure and code seems different than my original post. But I thought maybe if I create a simpler environment, I may fix it faster. Still, it turns HardFault at the system.
More specifically, when I open debug, press resume this page occurs.
this is the full code. I may not notice important detail, I am waiting for your kind help. :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Does anyone have an idea?
maybe I should declare my function as static void instead of void or anything else?
:folded_hands:

You are hopeless. Instead of making the recommended change, you go and change things entirely and introduce new errors.
I don't understand how you are compiling these codes as the compiler won't convert uint8_t to uint8_t * without a warning or error. Those warnings should give you a close as to what's wrong.
Similarly, the compiler won't convert uint8_t ** to uint8_t * without a warning or error.
error: cannot convert 'uint8_t** {aka unsigned char**}' to 'uint8_t* {aka unsigned char*}' for argument '2' to 'HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_SPI_Transmit(SPI_HandleTypeDef*, uint8_t*, uint16_t, uint32_t)'
How are you not seeing these errors?

with my all respect sir,
I try to learn things, commenting on someone as hopeless is kinda rude? But I will respect your aspect.
to answer your question how did I not get any error -> Well, I use STM32CubeIDE maybe that's an issue related to them?
Thanks for your response anyway, I have some medical situation right at moment, I have to stop my working process for a couple of days. I will check the issue and try to solve it if I could.
Also, I want to mention that, while I waiting for a response from any community member, I try things. Is it a bad thing? I didn't change everything entirely, my initial project still waiting as it is posted here. I just simplified the problem as much as I could, to see if anything may break while I arrange it in the first place.
Thanks again, kind regards.

Thanks for your sensitive behavior sir,
I knew that you (and such a kind other users) try to help people like me (at beginner level).
I will review what you say totally, and try to debug my problem. From now on, I will try to (keep it in the way) let say. I realize that I lost a lot when I am seeking answers.
Thanks for your kind movement again,
Kind Regards!
