Problem using STM32F411 ADC,DMA, USB virtual com and HAL_ADC_ConvHalfCpltCallback

Hello everyone,  I'm trying to develop a simple DAQ, most of the code is generated by stm32cubemx then I just added two callback (HAL_ADC_ConvHalfCpltCallback and HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback) to send the half buffer data by the USB virtual com, pretty simple here the code:

As you can see the callbacks toggle a GPIO here the signal, it looks good:

But if apply a sine wave to the ADC input (2Vpp 1V offset) and if I acquire the data from the virtual com and plot, the wave form is not a fluid countinuous wave form:

What can I check?

> pretty simple

It isn't. That you made little effort mostly clicking in CubeMX does not mean the resulting program is not complex.

CDC_Transmit_FS(adc_buf1, ADC_BUF_LEN / 2);

The second parameter should be number of bytes not number of halfwords.

JW is right here (good spot), but there are some other fundamental issues as well:

You're calling CDC_Transmit_FS every 1.2ms and expecting it to complete before the buffer is used again (in about 1.2ms). That won't work. USB is subject to delays of say, tens of ms at best, and you will lose data when it has one of these delays.

You're trying to shift out 4096 bytes every 1.2ms. That's a data rate of 27.3 Mbps. USB FS is going to max out at ~5-8 Mbps with efficient coding, and a fair bit less with HAL. Even without the random unavailable USB delays, this rate of data is a nonstarter.
