Hello,
I am currently designing a product which uses the STM32G491REI6 (UFBGA64 package) as the PCB cost more because of the usage of micro and blind vias, i am thinking to switch to the LQFP64 package. I checked the datasheet https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32g491ce.pdf especially the 4.9 Pin definition section and it seems that both packages are compatible. I am asking the question now to confirm if both packages are fully compatible and if the only change required is a pin assignment change in the SW side. I would like to use LQFP64 as it will help me lower the cost. Could you support me in this issue?
Thank you.

Hello @fedimakni and welcome to the Community,
Both UFBGA64 and LQFP64 packages for STM32G4 are fully compatible.
Using STM32CubeMX tool, this will help you to check the change between devices in (RAM, Flash,...)
Please refer to this article on how to find compatible STM32 devices for an MCU:
- How to find compatible devices for an MCU? STM32G4... - STMicroelectronics Community
- How to export a project configuration to a compati... - STMicroelectronics Community
You can also use ST-MCU-FINDER-PC (use the Cross selector) or STM32 MCU product selector to make a comparison of a reference MCU with approaching MCUs in different criteria including CPU frequency, memory, package, temperature grade and peripherals...
Thanks
