Is DAC output on PA5 usable since it connects to L3GD20?

On the STM32F3-Discovery, PA5 is connected to the L3GD20 gyro chip's SCLK input.

In general CMOS devices to not like having input hanging around voltages in between a good Low or High. It causes excessive current consumption.

Will this be a problem, trying to use the DAC output on PA5?

The other problem might be the limited DAC drive current.

Discovery boards are not expensive. If you don't need the gyro, cut the trace.
